Poor communication and appointments get cancelled We recently bought a home that had been serviced by this company so we decided to continue using them after we moved into. I called in October to schedule a sprinkler system winterization, the first available appointment was for early december in the early morning (7:30 am)I took that scheduled appointment. My husband planned to work from home that morning since they need access to the garage. They changed our appointment the week prior without notifying us, they just sent an email stating that our appointment was now at 10 am. They never showed for this appointment. There was last minute (the day of, about an hour before) stating that the technician was now sick and wouldn't be able to come by that day. I rescheduled for the next available time that was about a week later. The technician didn't show up at scheduled time. I had to call the office and tell them they were not at my house. Come to find out, the technician was having car trouble. There was zero communication from the technician about this, it would have been helpful because I was staying home from work that morning. Once he showed, he did do the job as described. Overall, incredibly dissatisfied with this business. I want to support local but they made it nearly impossible to even want to try them again. I won't be using them again and will be looking at other options. read more

I bought a home and previous owner used Aqua Sense. After a few weeks moving in, i notice some part of grass is always yellow even though i do water with my sprinkler system. Since Aqua sense has been in the house couple times, it made sense to call them to come in it took me a while to find a spot they can come in and finally a gentleman showed up. The guy (Tristin?) was great, knowledgeable, he explained everything so that i can understand. He suggested bunch of fixes and he told me he can not finish the job that day but , will contact to office and get the full estimate written up and reschedule me in earliest possible, it has been ~3 weeks, called many times, still not getting response from this "repair department" . I have to be transparent, the person I talked (Heather?) was so helpful and doing her best but she told me she is waiting for that repair department which sounds to be the problem. Appreciated the detail in the invoice. Prompt with email, voicemail, and start times. I provided a PDF and JPG based on a Google satellite/maps image of my property, with full annotation of sprinkler zones and problem spots. I'm relatively new to the area, so it's difficult for me to comment on value, esp. when it comes to labor rates - which is why the breakdown is attached for you to judge. I was billed for spring sprinkler turn-on and a back-flow check. The work was done, but the new guy was a little confused about what was on his work order. No worries though, we've all been the 'new guy' and it got sorted out on site. I paid the invoice mailed to me online, but eventually got an unpaid bill notice. I was informed that I owed $55 more. I asked why a couple times and eventually they sent a PDF invoice for $50 more than the original invoice *with the same INV number* but now with a $50 'high season' charge added that was not on the original invoice. Of course there were late fees. $55 doesn't break me, but the office seemed uninterested in finding out why. read more

We called Aquasense in October of 2021, It's that time of the year to winterize your sprinklers. It had been a few years since ours had been used so we wanted to make sure everything was running and shutdown properly. They scheduled us promptly even though we had not been a a customer for a while, they found our details and got us in. Technician came as schedule in the time window, was super professional and also the cost was great! No surprises which we loved. He also helped me answer a few questions I had on our sprinkler system which was great! Will continue to work with Aquasense for our spring re-start and any other needs! We had a very awkward pump system for our irrigation and the original installer was unavaible to turn the system on. Aquasense and specifically Mitch did an incredible job of standardizing the system to allow a simple turn on and off. The pricing was very reasonable. Update 5/20: We had our new sprinkler system service provider come out today to turn the system on for the season. It took him less than five minutes to repair the obvious leak that Aquasense ignored for at least 4 service cycles. He has been beyond Rude, Unprofessional, Demanding beyond measure. He threatened to reverse repairs of Sprinkler system for our Annual Backflow Testing & reverse the Documents sent to Water Co (according to water Co, thankfully this can NOT be done. This attitude and treatment added so much stress it is beyond imagination. We've been using Aquasense for about four years. Today Brandon came out and was right on time and polite and helpful. I walked around the zones to ask questions and point out areas I knew were not getting adequate water ... Shrubs grow and over the years can block sprinkler heads. I've found that if you go out with the crew and walk your yard with them you get better results. You should know your yard better than someone who comes out just twice a year. Brandon solved a few irrigation problems by swapping out heads and also explained how to have better results when setting up the watering schedule. read more

Scheduled back-flow valve replacement. the technician broke a zone pipe while replacing the valve and either did not notice or didn't care. Aquasense wanted to charge us for 2 hours labor to repair the pipe. we replaced it ourselves and told aquasense what we had found. We have not received any apologies or any other contact. Used for past few years. Initially they were great. Then the work started to dwindle in quality. Last service call i asked for replacement of 2 heads. Said they completed. When i asked tech (to his face) if he tested the system after replacement, he paused. Then said oh yeah. After leaving, i tested system. Both heads still had obvious leaks..water oozing from the earth. So i dug up both heads and found both were not connected properly. I had to redo their work. read more

Aquasense is a very professional company with knowledgable technicians. The office staff always calls or emails back promptly, which I've discovered is a rarity in this area. It took a few weeks to get on the schedule, which was not a problem for me, as my yard stays naturally wet until mid-July. I'd let my system go for a few years, and several heads had become overgrown and weren't working... I also had a broken pipe. They patched it all up and recommended a few additional improvements, which I decided to spring for. That required a second visit, which they were able to do the following week. Had one head break (lawnmower mishap) and they were right back out to take care of that. Each visit came in priced lower than original quotes and it's all been running terrifically for several weeks now. I'll likely look to Aquasense to add a zone to my system in the future. read more
