We chose to go with Aquamarine Pools back in April of this year. They were booked until August at the time and ended up installing the pool in early October due to a couple setbacks throughout the summer. This was disappointing to us, as we had already waited the entire summer to swim. That's about the only disappointment we had with Aquamarine Pools. As for the construction. Once our time had come, everything went incredibly smoothly. The pool equipment and construction equipment arrived when they said it would. The initial crew that dug the hole and set the pool were incredibly efficient. They didn't really encounter much rock in our backyard, and they were done digging and even dropped the pool into the ground on the same day. The handoff between the initial crew and concrete crew was seamless. We did encounter one less than ideal situation with the concrete. I didn't list it in the beginning of the review because how Aquamarine recovered was more than I could have asked for. The concrete crew ran into difficulties matching the new concrete to the existing patio due to the way the existing patio was sloped in both front to back and side to side dimensions. So they had difficulties placing the drains such that water ran from the house and from the pool. Initially they ended up with a low spot where the water pooled about 2cm deep. Once I discussed this with Aquamarine Pools, they got the concrete crew back out to discuss options that would work and that I'd be happy with. Ultimately, we ended up adding an additional strip of drain to resolve water pooling. And here's where Aquamarine went above and beyond.... They knew that there would be different colors of concrete where the new drain was added, and they wanted to make sure I was absolutely satisfied with the job. So they offered to Koolcote all the new concrete that was installed, even the additional concrete we paid them to pour. We went ahead and paid additional to coat the existing patio at the same time so that it all matched nicely. From my point of view, there will be hiccups with any project. But what set Aquamarine Pools apart is the fact that they not only resolved the root issue, but went above and beyond in ensuring I was happy with the repair. Initial crew (Silvino and family), concrete crew (Poncho, Gerardo, Hugo), top notch. Very happy with their work. Paul Tamarro (initial sales, out of San Antonio), very patient with our many questions and many times asking if they could pull in the pool installation. And a special thank you to Tabitha. She handled all of our questions, scheduling, reaching out for communication on upcoming activities, and was a complete sweetheart the whole time. Purchasing a pool was BIG deal for us. An inground swimming pool is a lifestyle investment, it will change you and your families lives for the better. You will no longer have to travel to visit a 'paradise location'. Your own home becomes your private paradise. Purchasing a pool can also be a lot of work. Lots of research (which is probably why you're reading my review...good job smart consumer) and LOTS of decision making. Deciding on everything from the pool shape and style, to the lighting and the location of the pool...and MOST importantly deciding on a pool builder. Choosing the wrong pool builder can turn a dream into a nightmare. We did a lot of research and what we found is that fiberglass pool manufacturer brands like AVIVA, Latham, Blue Hawaiian, these guys are all designing top quality pool shells that are built to last...so deciding on one of those brand's shells and shapes is important, but it's just personal preference. What is MORE important is how that pool shell is installed. There's a right way and there's a wrong way to install a fiberglass pool. Aquamarine Pools of San Antonio is a company that does it the right way. No corners cut. Having it done right is critical. It starts with the quality shells that they install. Aquamarine Pools only sell top name brands (see the names listed above). The same goes for the pool's equipment. All good quality. Paul was our agent and he walked us thru all of our pool's options (#of spa jets, # of LED lights, additional concrete, etc). He also helped best decide on where the pool and pool's equipment would be located. We set the date for the install and next came the hardest part-the wait. lol. We knew they were super busy so we understood. Paul has great communication skills and kept us up to date...and when install day came I couldn't believe how fast they got it done! I didn't want to be that home owner that's always out there looking and overseeing the job....but I work from home and so I got a chance to watch just about the entire building process. Again, no corners cut. Everything, from the type of rebar that was used and the way it's set, to the perfect leveling of the pool (having the waterline level was a big deal for me). The electricians did a super clean install and so did the guys who put all the pipes and pump/filter together. The concrete layout gets loads of compliments. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. This pool is just as nice as a lot of the pools at the 'paradise' hotels and condos where we've vacationed...AND this one is in our own backyard! The story - After contacting several pool companies & getting bids, we called Aquamarine Pools, when John answered the phone "all was good in the universe".... Unknown to us, it seems that we had met with John seven years ago when we we looking at pools near Austin, as soon as I told him my name, John remembered us, he recalled everything. What a memory!! When he came to the house, it was like a family reunion. John's knowledge about pools and the industry is second to none. Any questions or concerns we had, he responded immediately and always with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. With over 30 years in the pool industry, he has seen and done it all... Mike's goal is perfection, on every aspect of the pool, from the layout, thru the many stages of construction and all the way to the final completion. We could not have been in better hands. The pool is beyond awesome. We could not be more pleased with the final product than if we had won the lottery!! Ok, maybe not, but we did win the pool lottery by having Aquamarinepools, John Mehrman, Mike and the boys build our dream pool. We are truly blessed. My husband and I have been wanting a pool for over 7 years and I am so glad that we decided to go forward with this dream. As I started to do my research for pool companies I was surprised about how many companies had such poor reviews. After hours and hours of researched I found Aquamarine Pools of Texas and couldn't find a negative word about their work. I called them and their response time was impressive. I had called a few other pool contractors and it seemed like they weren't interested in my business because they were either rude or didn't return phone calls at all. John was professional and efficient and got a sales associate to my house right away. John was honest about when I'd have my pool and gave me realistic expectations which I appreciated. BUT they actually started my pool a week BEFORE they estimated which was a nice surprise. The entire process has been so smooth and Mike and his team were so courteous, knowledgeable, clean, and worked so hard each day they were here. They installed my pool in a WEEK!! I work from home so I was able to see the entire process and I must say I was quite impressed (being that I'm a perfectionist this speaks volumes) They happily answered all my questions AND my mother's questions with a smile. I have read horror stories about some fiberglass pool installers who are inexperienced and don't know what they are doing. I did extensive research across multiple channels and met with several local pool builders in Austin before choosing AquaPools. You literally can't find one negative customer from their Georgetown location and, fortunately, that's where I live. JP came out and met with me to go over all my questions and concerns. As a single female who is clueless when it comes to mechanical things and construction, I trusted him based on all the other previous reviews which mentioned him and Jose specifically. Both of them were so patient and kind as I asked a ton of questions from the very initial meeting. Angela, who works in the office, helped me understand what to expect as the build date got closer. Jose and his crews were dependable, and super talented with incredible attention to detail. This same level of excellence was shown when Carlos, the stone contractor, came out to install the waterfall - it's the little details like the bullnose on the waterfall that make all the difference. I didn't go with the cheapest estimate or the vendor who said they could do it the soonest. I'm so glad I waited for AquaPools and their team to make my outdoor living dreams come true!!! read more

What a great experience I am completely amazed with the service and product that Aqua pools provide. I reached out to Aqua pools about installing a new inground pool and I was contacted by JP. He was a great sales person and very honest. He sold us exactly what we needed and even gave us product information to help us decide on a few items that we thought we wanted but actually found out that we didn't need. He set us up with honest, and more important realistic expectations on what to expect during the build. We waited 3-4 months for the project to start and both JP(sales) and Angela (admin) were in contact with us the whole time so we were never in the dark on the next phase of the project. The build process was only 12 working days and Angela would text me what days she had us on the schedule for the dig. pool install, concrete pour, waterfall installation. the constitution crew were great and very open to input from us so we could steer them to the pool that we wanted. The finished product has been awesome. Everyone of our friends has been impressed by the product the price and the speed that the project took. We are extremely excited about the pool and would recommend and have already recommended these guys to our friends and family. read more

One of our lifelong dreams was to have a pool in our country backyard, but we didn't think that would happen for many more years do to our financial situation. Our daughter was diagnosed with Leg Perthes Disease earlier this year which keeps her somewhat immobile and swimming is one activity she can do which she absolutely loves. So with this news, we crunched our budget and made some sacrifices to see if we could accomplish this for her. We contacted several pool companies and read a lot of reviews and none seemed to compare to AquaPools as it related to quality of service and affordability. We met with Eddie M. who walked us through the entire process and worked with us on the final contract numbers to make this dream come true. From start to finish these guys did a great job. My wife and I have had 3 other pools built and none can compare to our experience with Aquamarine Pools. We took our time and interviewed 4 pool builders prior to making our selection, and John outshined all of them, by allot. His professionalism and knowledge was second to none. We really appreciated his no pressure approach with us. And my wife wanted dolphins created in the bottom of the pool, and he gave her several options. It turned out great! During construction Cody and Steve were the best. Although they tore down my new fence and tore up my new sod :) , they were very thoughtful and kind. They took painstaking care in only tearing up what was absolutely necessary. And when it was time to leave, they went above and beyond to make sure my property was put back together. I can honestly say that during this process we not only got the best pool available at a great price, but we also gained 3 friends. My Wife and I have our pool put in about 6 months ago. This is our second pool, first one was a gunite pool from a different builder in a different state. We had so many problems with that pool that I waited about 6 month to leave a review for Aquamarine. We have not had one single issue with the fiberglass pool Aquamarine installed. Our Grandkids love it. We were told the install would start in about 10 months when we signed the contract, they called 7 months in a had a start date for us, we were thrilled. We could not be happier with the install crew, the sale guy, the office help. The subcontractors were professional and super friendly. We could not be happier with the pool! This is a great company. We referred them to two of our neighbors, suppose to start on theirs soon. Never had a fiberglass pool before, but it is so easy to keep clean and the water balanced. We cannot say enough good things about the people at Aquamarine Pools in Central Texas and our experience we've had with them. Doug was our Sales Rep and took the time to explain all of our options in detail without the pressure to "upgrade" everything. The Office Manager, Donna, was always very easy to get a hold of and always knew exactly what was going on with our scheduled install. Carlos and his crew installed the pool and from start to finish got it done in 5 days!!! They had everything down like clockwork and worked very quickly and yet still came out with high quality workmanship. We did end up with some surface issues to our concrete due to rain on the day of the pour, however with great professionalism Aquamarine Pools is taking care of making things right without any additional cost to us. We just had our fiberglass pool installed by Aquamarine Pools. JP & Lissa in Sales were great in explaining the process and products. They came over and reviewed our yard and provided great insight. Angela and Theresa at the Georgetown office were great in communicating every step and even got us moved up on the schedule due to a cancellation. They scheduled everything for us, we didn't have to do anything, even the permitting process. Chuck came to do the installation and he went above and beyond and was very detail oriented to make sure the install was perfect. The concrete guys took pride in their work and confirmed everything with us. They all provided excellent customer service and our pool looks amazing! We are very pleased with our Aqua pool! From start to finish John and his team were thoughtful and responsive. To start, John helped us to design an amazing pool and spa that met all of our desires. I wanted water noise to wash away the sounds of traffic, John designed bubbler fountains that look like they belong at the Bellagio. We wanted the pool to be able to be used at night, the lighting is phenomenal and the colors are like nothing we've seen. We wanted a spa for the whole family, and it turned out shoulder deep and big enough to float in. We wanted a nice patio area that blended with our existing porch, and we got an amazing design that gives us three places to sit and enjoy our new backyard. Chuck, our project manager, was a one man machine making sure everything went smoothly even in the face of challenges, including ensuring our neighbors were happy. Our pool has been in for about a year now (our second summer to swim) and we just love it. It is beautiful! It works great, stays clean and is easy to maintain -- so glad we chose fiberglass over Gunite and saltwater over a 'regular' system. Regarding the company, John was responsive and had great attention to detail. Mike ran the crew and I can't say enough nice things about him and the crew and how hard they worked to do a good job for us and to make things the way we wanted. They were very fast and had it not rained (a torrential rain) the install probably would have been done in record time. (I would not have been able to tolerate the months of pool building - my friends who have had Gunite pools installed missed a whole summer of swimming the install took so long.) We absolutely love our pool. John and his team with Aquamarine Pools of Texas was a pleasure to work. We have an HOA and they helped with the drawing of the pool on the plot of our house to submit to the HOA group. They came in and about a week later our pool was installed. I live in Austin and there are a lot of hoops to jump through as far as installation with inspectors. Everything has to be just right for the city to pass inspection. They took care of all of that. My wife and son practically live in the back yard during the summer. It's great way to stay cool in the brutal Texas summers. I highly recommend Aquamarine Pools of Texas. Don't go with someone who is not reputable. We found that out the hard way. John and his team were able to get us out of a big bind we were in with another company that botched their pool install. From our first contact with Eddie to order and plan our Laguna Deluxe pool to digging the hole, dropping the pool into the hole, plumbing the pool, installing the waterfall, pouring the cement deck and topping it with Koolcote, Aquamarine Pools of Texas, Georgetown was a first class operation. Everyone involved were personable, professional and a pleasure to work with - plus it was fun to watch the project unfold. Cody and his crew immediately addressed and corrected the few issues that arose during the process. Follow-up service is spectacular. Being new pool owners, we experienced some "operator error" issues with the pump, salt to chlorination, cleaning, etc. Paul and Cory went over and above our expectations to help, patiently teaching us everything we need to know. We were on the fence with multiple offers for pool install and decided to go with aquamarine pools. This is a decision we are glad we made. They worked everything out for financing, stuck to a timeline for our pool install , gave us instructions on how to clean and manage our pool and equipment and most importantly were totally professional across the board (from Salesman -Eddie to Installers - Jerrie and Team). They have answered my calls when we had issues or concerns and have been a pleasure doing business with. The fiberglass pools are amazing!!! We love it, and it's easy to maintain. Aquamarine Pools was one of several pool companies I called for quotes. Like most pool buyers we like to shop around for the best design, value, and service after the sell. After doing my research I decided to hire Aquamarine Pools because of their BBB rating and their YELP reviews, and I'm glad I did. There's a reason all these reviews are 5 stars...they earned every one of them. From design, to install, to completion, John was only an email or text message away. He helped me design our backyard oasis, was upfront and honest about price and build time. (10 days total!). Even after the pool was completed I had additional questions...I emailed/texted John and he got right back to me with simple answers/solutions to my questions! Talk about above and beyond. I highly recommend these guys. John was great to work with and very straightforward and honest from the initial contact to completion. No hidden surprises. I was especially impressed how John would immediately respond to any email question I had within minutes as if it were a text message. Jose and his crew were excellent and you could easily tell they knew their stuff. The weather did not cooperate at all - the installation was scheduled when all the historical torrential rains and flooding came last month. However, despite the weather delays, the guys did what they could and worked through on and off rain on some days (and a lot of mud). In the end, I am completely satisfied with my pool which ended up only being delayed about a week due to the weather (which was quite bad). read more

John and his team did a great job throughout the process. Everything John said would happen did. The only thing that got complicated was the weather, but John explained that too. May was a very wet month, so what could have taken 10 days took almost 30 to get the concrete poured, but it was worth the wait. Chuck, the installer, knew what he was doing and explained it all perfectly to a couple that didn't know much about the equipment. You could tell he was busy with other projects but he always made sure he took care of you completely before leaving for the day. There were a couple times where we disagreed on how something should look or be done, but between John and Chuck they always made the customer right and took care of it. Top notch for sure.
