Home renovator beware of the empty promises made by top handyman. Most of what they did I've had to have redone by various subs I contracted. Top handyman is good at demo work - that's it. Do your research and get different quotes - I promise you, there's will be the highest. I'm really good with that if you get a quality job, which is what they will promise and not deliver on. Also, suggest you buy your own materials. They will mark-up 300% Latest update - I contracted to have repairs to The Top Handyman work they charged me for. Repairs included: replacement of plywood and shingles they put over my porch, having gutter installed where rain wouldn't come in, replaced loose screens with windows, repaired laminate flooring they put in, put up proper trim on ceiling (did away with the caulk seams they sloppily put in, stained all the exterior pressure treated boards, put in compliant lag bolts on floor joists, replaced the cheap screen door with a nice glass door, put in 2 exterior electrical outlets and did all the necessary painting. The folks that did the work wanted no money until the job was complete and I was satisfied. Oh, and the kicker was it costs 1/5 of what Top Handyman charged for a job any novice could have done better. So, home renovators beware of The Top Handyman. They will take your money and run.

Three months later a metal building installer did call me and gave me a date for installation. The morning of the installation a lady called me and said the machine that makes the metal panels was broken and they did not know when it could be fixed. I was a little stunned by this. I called Tonya on the phone and she said plainly: "Its not my problem, that's the installers issue." I asked for my deposit back and she refused. Needless to say, I never heard from the installer again nor could I contact them again. This lady has my 10% and I have received nothing. Please be careful who you deal with out there !

He sent me a full refund for the amount I paid back in 2023. I've seen many five star reviews elsewhere and I think he's driven to maintain that. While I appreciate the refund, the casual disregard to repair the leaks on this installation took a ton of my time, and I'm certainly out more than what I was refunded, but I have learned a lot in this 2 year long process. I'm just writing to relay my experience as to inform the next customer, not to damage a local company's reputation as that is not my intent at all. I wish them all the best- I'm sure he'd be great at a much higher price point than that of mine.
