But while my husband and I were changing out an empty 5-gallon bottle, we noticed a white, thumb-sized fleck floating at the bottom. At first I assumed it was just a piece of plastic from the cap, so we emptied the bottle to check. To my absolute horror, it was a slug. We had been drinking water from that bottle for the past week with a SLUG floating in it. I gagged immediately. It was absolutely disgusting and alarming. Another reviewer mentioned finding a paintbrush and pencil at the bottom of their bottle, and I wish I found that than this. How sanitary is their bottling and quality control process if a slug can end up inside a sealed bottle unnoticed? I'm still sick over it. I wish I had taken a picture, but I was so disgusted that I immediately dumped it down the sink. Going to refill my own water from now on, at least I can see the cleanliness with my own eyes that way.

He came promptly for an in person presentation to test the city water in my home and explain all the options. I was very impressed by him not trying to "sell" but rather ask questions to learn what specifically I was looking for the use of my home water. Once I decided on going with PureLux H20, he was able to send his technicians out to my home within 4 days to install the unit. Workmanship experience: Hardy and Hugo were the technicians, and they were extremely informative and diligent. They showed up punctual to the time they gave me in advance. I appreciated that they were very conscientious to ask all the questions in advance of where I would like the unit installed, briefing me on ease of access location as well as possible noise that might be a disturbance if too close to an indoor room. The installation was done within the time frame they gave me, and they left the work area clean after they left. Follow up: They came out again to my home after the unit was installed for follow questions and calibrations. All throughout the service, I was very pleased by the genuine concern for providing the best customer service from Josh, Hardy and Hugo. Water quality difference: The water in my house now is noticeable softer (no mineral residual left on glass) and the drinking water from the reverse osmosis now tastes much better, without the chlorine taste from the city water. Hardy connected the reverse osmosis unit to the refrigerator (for ice maker, and water dispenser) in addition to the tap spigot. The quality difference in our home water is noticeably better in all respects (smooth, no odors, tastes better, no mineral residual) and well worth the investment in the Water Softener system installed by PureLux H20. Worth it, of course!!! I would highly recommend PureLux H20 for the personal customer follow-up and professional service. Also, they charge you so much for delivery. Then when you cancel (or consider cancelling), they give you a major attitude over the phone and when they pick up their equipment. It's better to stay with PRF and deal with their deliver inconsistencies. At least, PRF compensates you for their mistakes, charges you less than Zutra, and have courteous customer service.
