But it was great! Waited til Sun AM, when the souls that need saving would be preoccupied, and arrived around 9:45. No wait. Pulled up and was immediately greeted by a friendly worker. 2 questions: What are you dropping off? From what address did the items come? Then a 'thank you! Please proceed.' I laughed and said, 'I'm a first timer, where/how do I proceed?' 'Oh! My bad! Again, welcome! You will drive around the horseshoe and workers will direct you to the front. You'll put the car in Park and turn the engine off. Remain in your vehicle. Open the back of your vehicle and workers will remove the items. When they are done, they will let you know to close the back, start the car, and proceed safely out the facility. Thank you and have a nice day!' They deliver it for you and you have 7 days to call them to pick it back up. I've used them 3 times so far to remove rocks and dirt from my yard. Local haulers will charge 1600-2000 to haul what we put in this one container which is 16 ft long x 8 ft wide x 2 ft high. I called a bunch of guys who seemed kept saying its to hard to quote you because of the weight which was a major lie. We paid 325 dollars and 2 day Labors from Home Depot at 12 bucks an hour to help load everything for 100 per guy. Total spent 525. We saved big time thanks to NORTH Hills. We live in La Crescenta / Glendale if you have to put it on the street you will have to get a permit from Glendale or you can put it in your driveway with out a permit. Permit was $25 last time I put it in the street. You can have them haul almost anything, call them for pricing this is an awesome service in California! So far the best price I found in town.

The hard drives already removed and I finally loaded them in my car and took them to the E-Waste LA. The location is on the corner and you turn into a little alleyway and park. I put my hazards just in case and I walked into the little area where the shop is. I didn't see anyone but the Ring loudly said "hi you are being recorded" and that's when the kind owner came out. I told him what I had and he brought a trolley to my trunk and helped me unload. He sad thank you and then he took them. I didn't have any charge for leaving them. I know if I had hard drives in the computers he would have been able to destroy them in front of me for a small fee each. I read other people's reviews that they were charged for some things they dropped off, I'm not sure what would warrant a fee. At the shop i saw all kinds of things like old tvs laying there. It's nice knowing that this stuff can avoid the landfill and hopefully they can recycle the parts or dispose of them safely.
