I work with senior citizens, and being invited to honor someone so special meant a great deal to me. The cemetery grounds were impeccably maintained the lawn was perfectly cut, everything was clean, and the entire property looked peaceful and well cared for. The gathering area was set up beautifully, making the service feel warm, respectful, and comforting for everyone in attendance. The attention to detail and care are Amazing here!

Riverside National Cemetery is a peaceful and restful placed for loved ones. Was here for the…read moresecond time this year, with a recent visit to pay respect to a loved community member who passed away from cancer. The service was very moving, with a three-volley salute, which is a military honor for those who served. There was also a covered space so guests did not have to stand under the sun. This is a very big cemetery, but once you drive up to the entrance kiosk, you can ask to find a burial space. The grounds are very open and small roads in between to drive through. Parking can be very limited during national holidays and large funeral events. There was almost no parking during Memorial Day when visited earlier this year. And you can't really park outside the cemetery because it's just a large road, with multi-lane traffic. So for non-event days, parking will be easy, but for major events, this is a very busy place.

I expected that I was going to finalize details and pay the balance, instead I was ending the meeting and finding another mortuary to take charge. The only positive thing was the care team that took charge of his remains. I was charged a transfer fee which I feel Miller Jones should've taken the loss since it was their representative who misled me. Initially I was also told that they would issue me a full refund, but I had to pay the $600 first. I felt that was stupid and they should've just deducted the $600 from what I had paid. I was informed that was their policy. I fussed so much that they finally did deduct the fee and issued me a check for the difference in a day or so. After my husband was in the care of another company, Miller Jones posted an online obituary without my knowledge or approval. I had to contact them to have it removed.

The site was in desperate need of maintenance having been overgrown and nearly covered in which did not allow space for flowers to be placed upon visits. They followed up no less than a week later to advise that the site had been completely renovated with a new plate, as well as new and additional spaces to place flowers. They have been very attentive with the other sites we visit also, by making sure the spaces for flowers for our family are consistently maintained. They have made the overall experience not only more comfortable, but more special. Sincerest gratitude! Mrs. Virginia Villafan.

Anthony assisted my family, my cousin and his mother, and I with great professionalism and genuine kindness throughout the process of securing a cemetery space and arranging funeral services. He took the time to thoroughly explain every aspect of the arrangements, including the available services, amenities, and associated costs. His clear and comprehensive explanations allowed us to fully understand our options and make informed decisions with confidence. Despite our arriving late to both appointments, Anthony remained exceptionally patient and accommodating. His professionalism, candor, and thoughtful demeanor brought a sense of calm and reassurance during a difficult time. We sincerely appreciate Anthony's dedication and the respectful manner in which he supported our family. We highly recommend him to anyone seeking compassionate and knowledgeable assistance at Crestlawn.

No request was too big. And everything they did was done with empathy and love. He allowed us to basically run the service away that we wanted it based on the guidelines and what we paid for he always gave us more time because he understands the difficulties of emotions and feelings during this time. Thank you so much for such an amazing service although I hope to never ever see you again soon if ever there was a need which the circle of life says there will be we will definitely be returning here. Don't expect to watch your loved one's casket actually lowered into the ground either. You have to pay over $300 more for that to happen. We were actually told that we needed to leave so they could do so. Why? No idea. Obviously, they are going to do so, so why would it matter if you are there or not?! I've been to many funerals and at no time did they asked for a casket liner (in case the person needs to be exhumed, not optional.) and not once was there an upcharge to watch the casket placed in the ground. Odd they don't require a liner in Wisconsin or Minnesota where they actually have weather. My suggestion is to ask to be cremated, unless you have an extra $10k laying around.
