I call out Foraker for solutions and they quoted me for a trenched drain (which would tie in 2 downspouts and a sump pump outlet) and grading of soil in that area. I was led to believe either one would solve my issue. I opted for the trenched drain (which was the more expensive option) because I hoped the final product would look better. At this point, the quote was only given verbally and my agreement was only verbal. I was expecting them to send me a contract to sign outlining the work to be done but that never happened. Next thing I know, I get a text saying they will be out tomorrow to do the job. They completed the project and left without saying a word. I inspect the work after they left and was disappointed with it. They used black corrugated pipe to connect to my white downspout and left it duct taped together. On top of that, it rained the next day and the problem still persisted. So now I contact them expressing my concerns about the quality of work and the persisting issue. I get a very rude response from the owner (Trevor) that he is not changing the pipe color, the duct tape just needs to be removed and the persisting problem is because I didn't do the grading. He stated (in text) that they will come out and put a drain box at the low point of the pooling and tie it in with the drain. I never responded because I was looking into other options. Shortly after with no notice or even a knock at the door, Foraker is back installing the drain box that was never even approved by me. Again after completion, the workers left without a word. A week later it rains, surprise surprise the pooling is still an issue because the soil around the box is lower than the box itself. I get a call from Foraker about payment and I explain the still persisting problem and the remaining issue of the pipe color. This is when the owner THREATENED to come to my house and rip out all the piping because "it's his since you haven't paid for it yet". That's the type of response you can expect from them if you criticize their work. I was the one forced to diffuse the situation and compromise with subpar work. Now I paid $2500 for a drain and drain box that doesn't resolve the issue and that I didn't even ask for. Also stuck with mismatching pipes that I was told to "just spray paint" by the company. All because Foraker doesn't want to fix things the right way and doesn't care about their customers. The owner kept saying how he has 20+ years of experience and I'm surprised they lasted this long with this type of attitude towards customers.

Family run, well established local business. Came out and assessed our (unfinished) basement water…read moreproblem. Suggested a French drain along the wall where the water was seeping in and a sump pump in that corner as well. This was definitely a minimalist approach compared to the two other companies wanting to install multiple pumps in areas of the basement we did not have a water problem and additional measures not sure were warranted. Before the work began, we were alerted that there would be alot of concrete dust and we took measures to cover most things on that end of the cellar. The work was completed in a few hours by workmen who did their best to keep the dust down to a minimum. Once the work was completed, we were advised to contact them if any problem arose. All was good for over a year with no water seepage issues. After one particular long stretch of rainy weather we did get some water not going into the pump and leaking onto the floor. We contacted the office. Paul came out to evaluate and sent one of the workmen to remediate. We wished we had contacted Pennacchi sooner to take care of the water problem. We feel their solution was exactly what was needed for out particular case and it was money well spent. We are very happy and would (and have!) recommended them to others.

A few times I was told I would get a call Friday about starting but didn't. During June I inquired about a quote to recoat our pool deck. I received a quote but declined due to the additional cost. I asked to continue the initial agreement. At the end of June I called to alert them that construction that was about to begin on my deck. At the end of July, I made contact again to asked about a start date and to inquire about painting/staining our small brick facade. Paul came by to discuss and I agreed to leave it at power washing the stains and re-pointing the most critical areas of brick. I agreed verbally to pay 5,000 not really understanding what was involved with the brick. Finally workers arrive in August and did a very good job on my chimney. The power washing did not remove the brick stains and re-pointing was minimal. It took one man 2 or possibly 3 hours and I felt I didn't get much for the additional $800.

We've gotten a patio with plantings and two shade trees through Rutgers. The reason why I wouldn't recommend this company is the quality of their support is subpar. Many of the plantings died within the first year even though they get watered daily. The trees don't grow, whereas trees we bought from other landscaping companies in the area are already taller than our house. The patio has loose pavers and the low voltage lighting doesn't work everywhere. Some lights work, others don't. When I asked about the lights, they said it's a supplier issue from China, however they've installed other patios in our neighborhood with lights. I guess it's only a supplier issue for warranty issues and not new installs. The issue with the loose pavers however is the reason I'm writing this review. When I called to asked them to come out and take a look, they told me they can't take support calls like this over the phone instead I would need to email them. I don't understand how a company that I paid thousands of dollars to for a patio won't talk to me on the phone. I now have to wait days for a reply via email. Ridiculous Also, they are going to reply to this review asking me to call them and speak to management. That's a waste of time as when I call the person on the phone will say "send us an email". Terrible.
