Aptive Pest Control is constantly sending sales reps into our neighborhood, and it's become overwhelming. They don't just come once in a while, sometimes they knock on the same house twice in a single day. Even after being told "no," they keep coming back. This aggressive door-to-door approach feels more like harassment than customer service. People should be able to enjoy their homes without being interrupted repeatedly by sales pitches. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine what the actual service is like. Residents in our community are frustrated, and I hope Aptive rethinks these tactics. read more

I would give a -100%- I had a real bad experience with Aptive the service not provided as promise never did the inside of the home and when claimed the services for 75 a month were on point to charge my card before anything was done and provided this information to costumer service and was treated real bad they acted like a was never promised services inside just out the home. So I was not reimbursed by the last 2 payments done and not complete services. The costumer service person even treated me like she was bullying me. I just left it alone but had a real bad experience with both services and bad costumer service worst one ever. With bi-monthly service for moles, Critter Control has been an utter failure. I have texted several times to have the technician talk to me about the problem getting out of control in the back yard. I can already picture myself being charged $100 a month for just five minutes of work at my property. You don't find out until after cancellation period that they cannot do what the sales person promised, so you are either stuck with the HIGH monthly cost or pay the $199 cancellation fee. My experience is similar to others. Here's what happened. Young kid with an iPad and tells me there are 7 houses in 20 house community that Aprive services. He tells me about everything they do and what other companies don't do. I asked for documentation or a card, he stated he didn't carry any of that. He told me that was ok, but do not call the office number because they will charge double and to call him instead because he would give a discount. The first treatment was fine and did help with the ants. The second treatment, didnt even happen. We have cameras at my house. Take my advice. Do not sign a contract with Aptive Environmental. In the event that you are dissatisfied with their service, you have to buy out the remainder of your contract. In my case, the buyout was $200. Here's my story. I live in DeLand, FL. Unfortunately, the pest control company I have dealt with for over forty years was sold and the new company didn't continue the high quality of service that I was accustomed to, so I had to look elsewhere. A salesperson from Aptive Environmental happened to come to my door at this time, so I explained that I had two needs to fill. I'd been using a perimeter treatment, which I was extremely pleased with, so I wanted a continuation of the same. Secondly, and VERY importantly, I'd been plagued with small red ants in my yard and I wanted them gone. The salesperson waxed poetic about the treatment to eradicate the ants. I was very specific in my questions to him and he assured me that they would be able to clear up the problem completely. I should add that the price he quoted me was well over three times the cost of my former provider's service, but that was okay as long as they were able to rid my yard of those tiny little demons. He handed me a iPad style tablet that had a mile long contract in mouse print that was so small I couldn't read it, but against my better judgment, I signed it. Rookie move! They also did not send me a copy of the contract, which was promised, so to this day I cannot review the terms of the agreement. Moving into the present, I've had many treatments and had them also return to re-treat, but there is zero improvement to the problem with the ants. This morning, I phoned to cancel the service and was informed of the $200 buyout. APTIVE ENVIRONMENTAL FAILED MISERABLY AT FULLING THE PROMISE OF THEIR SALESMAN TO MEET MY NEEDS. Apparently, in all that wordy mouse print, there is no clause about customer satisfaction. This customer is clearly NOT satisfied. I was very happy with the service and technicians since signing up with Aptive last year on May 2024. However, they managed to upset with to the point that I no longer want to pursue a 2 year contract and have immediately cancelled my service. I have had ant, earwig, spider and roach problems inside and outside our home. We had a regular service call ($165 charge) on Mar 2025 but I was unable to open my backyard because I didn't hear the doorbell. I scheduled a reservice visit (no charge) earlier this month but still had issues with earwigs and ants. Then I scheduled a reservice call online and had them come out today, April 18. They have a service satisfaction guarantee but I guess they no longer honor this. The technician did a great job but I noticed I was charged $165. I called customer service and spoke to a manager to see if she could help me. She justified the service charge and said that I was due for a service anyway. Had I known they were going to charge me, I would never had scheduled the call. This is complete BS and they just lost thousands of dollars from me. I hope it was worth it for them. Like most, we were approached at our private residence on a weekend, a day to recover from the work week and not worry about salesmen solicitors. However, we entertained the young salesmen approach just because of common Florida pest problems that arise in the home. Guy in a green aptive shirt with his Ipad, calming down our family dog. He proceeds to ask us what type of pests we were experiencing in the home, gives us a whole run down how their spray solutions are "eco-friendly", yeah friendly to just about every bug outside- it's useless on them. The pitch came in with a spray of $40 for mother's day weekend and how it was a great offer, we sat down in our foyer to discuss the CONtract of the frequency of visits, which we agreed to bimonthly. Gets our business. Upon the first visits, young guy comes and sprays the property for $169! About 2-3 more visits on a monthly visit, opposed to the bimonthly, we knew this was not a honest company, none of the treatments worked. In fact the waterbugs made their way inside the house! When and all said and done to terminate this bad contract, the customer support acts as another salesperson, trying to get you, after clearly explaining how it was bimonthly and their product does not work! While Aptive appears to have resolved our problem with roaches the cost and very poor customer service means we will not use them again. Our first two appointments went well. Technician was scheduled "AM". Kind of vague but they arrived about 9am so our day was not wasted. Subsequent appointments went completely differently. Technicians schedule for morning appointments came late afternoon. Appointments were reschedule for later days without any notice. On-line scheduling tool often shows nothing available. They were only supposed to do four services, and that was it. So, when they tried to come for a fifth time, I declined the service. I went to cancel and they told me I had to pay $199. We just had a visit from a 21 yr old young man at our front door. He kept ringing the doorbell and then started banging repeatedly on our door. He let his white Segway roll into our river rock landscaping and on top of a heather plant that I recently replaced. We have a doorbell cam so we got it all on video and I saved the clips. I was in the middle of eating my lunch which is another reason we have a NO SOLICITING sign just above our doorbell cam. I was going to use the doorbell app to tell him there's a NO SOLICITING sign right there above the doorbell and to leave our property but then saw his Segway in our landscaping. So I went to the door and called to him on the sidewalk in front of our garage. He persisted in trying to sell me bug spray. I let him know I didn't like him letting his Segway roll into my landscaping. So I went out to the street and called to him from my driveway to a driveway across the street. He would not answer me. I walked to the driveway and asked him for a card for my husband. He said he didn't have anything to give me. I asked him for the name of his company and he refused to tell me. I told him again we have a NO SOLICITING sign just above the doorbell cam. He didn't give a rat's ass. I asked him to show me some sort of ID for his company, or a permit, anything to prove his legitimacy. He said he didn't have to give me anything and told me to get a life. I started recording him as he went up the driveway to my neighbors' home where he once again told me to get a life. I have that on video. I called the sheriff and two deputies arrived quickly in our cul de sac. They talked to him. They acknowledged he's very aggressive. All they could do was tell him to not knock on doors with No Soliciting signs and to not come to our home again. Our neighbors aren't happy with him either. The deputies gave me the name of the company, so here I am. I tried calling the company. 3 options...Existing customer, Get a quote, Cancel service. Couldn't get through to anyone except the quote/sales people. I told him why I was calling and asked for a supervisor. The jerk transferred me right back to the memo options. The company I was using (RIDD) was taken over by Aptive in my area of Brevard County. I never signed the contract they sent over after the switch. The company came out and sprayed one time, which was noted that he was unable to finish due to his backpack dying. Instead of calling them to finish the service, my husband and I decided we did not want to continue service with them. I emailed the customer support listed on my receipt of "service" on 5/28/25 stating I did not want to continue service and wanted my policy (unsigned) canceled. I stated to let me know if anything else was needed on my end. No response. Sent another email and left a voicemail trying to verify that the services were no longer being rendered and no payments would be drafted from my account. They call today (comes up as a toll free number, so naturally I didn't answer) and leave a voicemail. I return the call where the customer service rep says they haven't looked at emails yet today and can go ahead and cancel future arrives but my account was drafted last night so they can only offer to come out and spray. They refused to budge when I again forwarded my email correspondence with them from the 28th of the previous month, told them that I shouldn't be charged for a service that was never fully completed the first go around and I didn't want any other services. My new company had already come out and sprayed and taken care of things. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to and she said no, that all of the team members were supervisor levels. i was told that even though I had emailed, since no cancelation was completed or listed in my file, there was nothing she could do. I said so I'm being punished for a mistake on your end? She repeated no, that's not what she was saying... I said but you are by taking my money, not rendering complete services and refusing me a refund because YOUR staff didn't follow through. She canceled my policy and all of my billing information but refused to refund me for something that was drafted less than 24 hours ago, with no services rendered, and incomplete services rendered for the first treatment. I would give them zero stars if I could. Steer clear. Not worth the money or hassle.
