Started off ok, especially for the price. But now that it is spring and everything has greened up again, we now see that OUR GRASS IS WORSE THAN IT HAS EVER BEEN IN THE 19 YEARS WE HAVE LIVED HERE!! Chinch bug attacked last May. We called them when we noticed and asked them to come spray for chinch bug. We went away from end of May for a couple of months and came back to find the patch at least 4 times larger! Called them again to ask how on earth could this have happened. They said that when they looked in May there was no chinch bug so did not spray then! WOW, I KNEW MORE THAN THEM! Proof was in the pudding, as they say, because by end of summer a large section was dead due to chinch bug. They asked for the opportunity to work on the area and encourage new growth. I decided to give them a second chance. They did ok in the fall with everything else, but the chinch bug area still showed no improvement, but the bugs were dead and not spreading. But this spring we are having dead areas pop up again. I Called their tech out today to walk the property with me so that I could point out some areas of concern and ask what he could do to help. Wow! He was rude, defensive and belligerent! Blamed every problem on either not enough water (our sprinkler system works just fine) or the mowers causing the problem. (Same mowers we have used for 8 years! Never a problem before) He insisted the reason we have a large dead spot in front is because of the mowing. I told him that it was actually caused by their lack of treating chinch bug in a timely manner last year, and that it is finally just starting to show traces of it growing in, but has a very long way to go still! He argued that we never had chinch bug! Wow! I suggested maybe not on his charts, maybe it was when a different tech was treating our year. He argued that he is the only tech that has ever treated our property and we never had chinch bug! I suggested he read his files and not argue with the customer, maybe he was on vacation at the time. He suggested that I was calling him a liar!! WOW!! With that I figured enough was enough, and told him thank you but I was going in to call the office, and I did not want him to treat my property again. I called the office and spoke with someone in charge. Explained what happened and suggested that regardless of who his tech was, even if a brother or nephew or best friend, he needs to teach him about how to deal with a customer. I requested a new tech for my property, and for them to come out ASAP to treat the area outside my fence, but still my property, which had obviously not been sprayed for weeds a couple weeks ago. The manager or whomever it was, said that he only had one tech to service my area so he recommended he just terminate my service. I said that was fine, but not until someone came out and did what they were supposed to do on their last visit a couple weeks ago. He said that he was not going to fix anything! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! read more
