Not worth the money. Technician showed up and I explained that we were seeing sugar ants and a couple of wasps. Sprayed outside foundation but did not spray around decks where the ants and wasps were present. Technician got back into his truck, spent 15 minutes in front of house in an attempt to appear to be servicing the house and then he left. Called company to cancel they said "Fine". If you use them, prepare to follow/watch the technician to ensure service is completed, and hope you don't have any customer service concerns. read more

Terrible service. Low quality, overpromised and under delivered. Customer support team rude, by cutting me off in mid sentence several times and argumentative. Do not use this company. I finally reached member of the local team mgt who agreed to refund my last application. I was told it would take 5 days to process. Two weeks later, no refund. Had to call again, spoke to different Mgr who confirmed that there was no request to refund submitted in their system. Had to go back though all info again and still waiting for refund. Oh, and good luck trying to reach their "Chief Customer Officer" Derrick Royce as no one will give you his contact info and its not available online. Don't waste your time or money. read more

We really weren't seeing very good results even though we were on the quarterly treatment plan. Well, now I may know why. Our neighbor watched them perform the treatment today to see what they did. They knocked down some cobwebs, got in their truck and sat for a few minutes, then drove off and left without spraying or treating. But you can believe I got charged the full amount. When I called to tell them what their technician did, there was no shock, or apology, or offer for a refund. Just a "we will send him back out". I told them not to bother and that I wanted a full refund for today and to never come back as we were done doing business with a company that would act this way. My advice would be do not use them, find someone else. read more

This used to be a good company. For two years they took care of my ants and spiders, came back when I needed them to, and had adequate to good customer service. That all went rapidly downhill in March. This is a no contact mask wearing service without Covid. Nothing should have changed. They stopped answering their phones and could not not get them to come out and get rid of the ants. I called another company who came the very next day and completely took care of the problem. I have tried to cancel my service since I was month to month after the first year. No luck. They have not answered the phone since March. I have documented 62 attempts. The only working phone number is for sales, when you talk about service they say they will transfer you and no one ever picks up. I have stayed on hold as long as 93 minutes. He said well do you know when the "man" will be home. He said "man" always in a deep tone. I said, look if you think I'm gonna let you in to kiss me before my dad gets home, I'm not gay. He said he wasn't gay either. I asked why he was trying to seduce me then. He had a very perverted look in his eyes and then sadness. I signed up with the Aptive on Sep 2, 2020 for one year contract and after 1 time service, I still found bugs and called them, they came again and said no extra charge for the following up service. they said I can cancel within a month if I was not satisfied their service within a month, so I called the customer service many times, but they never answered my phones, I wasted too much time to call waiting and finally I contacted 2 days later. The manager apologized to me about waiting too much and said about no further payment in my account, BUT 2 MONTH LATER, THEY SENT ME $200 BILL, I explained what the manager said to me when I canceled, but they said they don't have any mention in my account, I explained about my conversation with the manager, but they didn't listen my explanation with uncourteous manner. The customer service of APTIVE company was so terrible. I already paid $49 and they charged me $249 for 2 services for a month. It's ridiculous price!! read more

THIS COMPANY HIRES AND SUPPORTS EMPLOYEES CONDUCTING UNLAWFUL BUSINESS AND THEY DISREGARD YOUR CITY'S REGULATIONS. On June 22, 2020, one of your employees OSKAR PETERSON arrived at my home, identifying himself as a Route Manager, saying he was servicing other homes in the area. Our city requires a city solicitor's license to go door to door to make any sales. Before hearing his speech about APTIVE, I asked if he has a license, which he said he did. I asked to see it. He showed me a company ID. I informed him it was not a city license, as there were no markings from the city ie, seal, signature, nothing. He claimed he paid $50 per day at our city building (No true) and they gave him the ID he was displaying. I reached out asking to inspect his license closer and he pulled back, refusing to allow me to look at it. I confirmed numerous times with him that he was saying he had a city solicitors license. He then began to argue with me saying that I knew better than the city staff about the license, interrupting me several times. The not-so-bright Route Manager challenged me to call the city to check, knowing he did not have a license. I invited him to leave. I called the city and confirmed that he did NOT have a solicitor's license and APTIVE had only applied for one as a company, which was still under review. Mr. Peterson did not have one. One of the dis-qualifiers for obtaining a city license is solicitation during the application period. So their not-so-bright Route Manager chose to continue down our street and solicit my neighbors. I called the police as it is a misdemeanor to solicit w/o a permit. I also attempted to call APTIVE, which had a computer answering system that would not connect me unless I was or wanted to be a customer. I did not attempt to stop him but if he was speaking to a neighbor, I informed them he was unlawfully soliciting. Mr. Peterson tried to approach me and have me talk to his boss on the phone, which I declined to do and waited at a distance. When the police arrived he was unable to produce his city license and they opened a criminal case and forwarded it to the city prosecutor. Since that time I have attempted to speak to someone at APTIVE about the incident. I have spoken to the corporate offices in UTAH 5 separate times and they assure me that the Lenexa manager would contact me, which he has not done to this day. OK, I get that they have a not-so-bright kid who they have employed. But to not return 5 messages shows an unwillingness to correct or admit any wrongdoings. My suggestion is to take your business elsewhere. By the way, the entire event was captured on my Ring Video and there is no mis-communication anywhere, the employee flat out lied. read more

I always have great service with Active and they keep my home bug-free. With all the rain of late,.however, we found tons of tiny red critters crawling around our house. Per there policy, Active came out and gave an additional "between services" service. To say Jonathan H was thorough would be an understatement. I am confident they won't be back in a long time. Be careful and fully understand what you are getting into with Aptive. I signed up and was told I can cancel at any time. When I signed up they encouraged me to give it a year before canceling. After paying for the first application, they sent a note one week later saying they were coming back out to treat the house. I called to let them know they were just here seven days ago. They encouraged me have it done and I said no. Then three weeks later they showed up and treated my house and charged me $109 . I called to complain the I signed up for quarterly service and have spent $200 in the past month. I then told them I wanted to cancel and they said there was a $150 fee since I didn't go a year. Funny thing is, I never had a bug in my house until I used Aptive. I've had spiders, crickets, and ants. So, it doesn't work, but they like to charge you as often as they can. They also offered to drastically lower my rate if I stayed a customer which tells me no one is paying a standard rate. read more

My family has had a very negative experience with this company. A salesman showed up at our house around 6:15 PM, disrupting our dinner, to try to sell us services we didn't need. I politely pointed to our "No Solicitors" sign, and he just kept going on about needing to meet sales quotas. I repeatedly told him we were not interested in their services, and had to ultimately shut the door in his face to get him to leave our property. Not only was the salesman rude, but it is against KCMO Ordinance 50-172 to solicit a property on which the owner has clearly posted signs against soliciting. I have called Aptive Environmental to complain, but have yet to receive a call back. Clearly, this company condones rude and illegal behavior by its employees, and should be avoided. The only reason I have given any star at all is that this platform will not allow zero stars. read more

Hired Aptive for pest control for the first time this year. They came out and did the first treatment just like scheduled. For almost a month we did not see any ants or other bugs in the house. Then we found ants coming in the front door. I called them and scheduled a retreat of the affected area. I got scheduled for the next day between 8-10. I was surprised when Dustin H., don't like posting people's full names, showed up right at 8 am. He was very pleasent and helpful. He promptly treated the areas of concern and went through the yard looking for any ant hills. Before leaving he asked if he could pass on the scheduling dept when I would like to get my full treatment done. We worked that out and now I am waiting for the call to schedule the full treatment. We had our first service with Aptive yesterday. Although I was home, I was not present when the technician treated the basement. Based on the short amount of time he was in the basement, I am sure the areas I asked to be treated were not. I will be present next time and make sure I am getting the service I am paying for. I also was told I would be serviced for vole/rodents, and there was no mention of putting traps or refilling any traps. I switched from Edge Pest Control to Aptive in order to save $$, and I guess I am getting what I am paying for, which is sub-par service. read more

STAY AWAY from this company. They are horrible in every sense. The pest control is ineffective and they have extremely rude, dishonest and manipulative customer service agents and managers. I was happy with EDGE pest control and I decided to switch to Aptive for the lower price. As with anything, you get what you pay for. I never had an issue with edge, but once I switched to Aptive, we had cobwebs, spiders and spider eggs everywhere. I called them back multiple times and the issue was not resolved. I finally asked them for a refund since I paid for pest control and received no control of my pests. Apparently that was unreasonable but convinced the manager that if someone came out and confirmed the services were ineffective that they would give me a refund. It was proven ineffective (cobwebs and eggs everywhere) but then they would not give me the refund and the manager became argumentative with me. I had to hang up the phone on him bc he would not stop arguing. His name is Landon Call in case anyone in the upper management at Aptive wants to know since they are impossible to get a hold of. This company is so bad that I will also be in contact with the better business bureau about it. read more

Company lied about services. They told me that they would let me know if I want the second service. They did never inform me about second service and charged my credit card for that. When I wanted to cancel my service they even charged more. We did not even saw them performing services, but they kept charging to my credit card. Keep away. Very corrupted company. read more
