This week's task was handling a potential infestation of rodents. Oh joy! Nothing like having your home be a home for unwanted critters, and, well, eww. Roberto showed up on time, even messaging when he was on his way, listened to my concerns, and took a look around our basement. I was relieved to find out that it did not appear as if we had a big problem, or at least as big of a problem like I had feared, and that he would look outside as well. Once outside, Roberto inspected the house and found the likely point of ingress for mice. It made total sense because the gap in the siding coincided with where the soffit for the ductwork is in the basement. He gave me quotes on the services that were available, ranging from quarterly visits to a one-time sealing of the house, and then gave me some ideas on what I could do to handle some things myself. The service charge was $99, and if you sign up for one of their quarterly services or another one of their offerings, then that service charge is rolled into part of the overall fee. I was super-pleased with that part of the arrangement and I look forward to utilizing their services. Very responsive, easy to set an appointment, and a relatively thorough inspection, all in the span of less than an hour. Great experience!

They got us on their schedule for an inspection the very next day and arrived right on time. Scott was very nice, upfront and overall great to work with. His inspection was thorough, and he took the time to explain the cause of our issues, his proposed solutions and answered all of our questions in detail. We decided to move forward with Bug Boys on the spot and they completed the first round of service right then and there. Our problem appeared to be solved in less than a week, but Scott came back 2 more times over the next 4 weeks, at no additional cost to us, to ensure things were going as expected. During his final visit he informed us their service came with a 30 day warranty, which we learned early on in our process of gathering quotes, is rare. As young homeowners, we often feel taken advantage of by service providers, but this was definitely not the case with Bug Boys. Our problem was solved quickly, and they genuinely cared about getting the job done right. The fact that their services were so reasonably priced was icing on the cake!

It cost $300, and they did not do anything inside. They said that they would recommend monthly follow-up visits for more $$, and they are scheduled to come back next week to check the exterior of the house. They also recommended putting up our dog food bowl and trimming the hedges in the back yard to be further from the house. We completely these things. We still have mice. And I am unsure how worthwhile this service is? I will wait and see if there is any improvement after this next visit, and will update my post afterwards.

We've definitely noticed a decrease since that was done. It makes setting on the deck much more enjoyable. The customer service is excellent. If you see something before their scheduled time they will come back and take care of it. They answer the phone and return calls!! I know that sounds so very simple, but there are many companies that don't seem to!
