I came here to get my eyebrows threaded and honestly speaking I was hesitant and worried since it was my first time getting this done and the reviews here weren't great but it turned out really well. I'm writing this review on behalf of my wife. My wife had a very bad experience here recently. She was burned by some of the tools the UNLICENSED ladies use here for her hair and face. She had burn marks on three places of her face. The owner, Naina, hires unlicensed ladies to work and serve her clients. Later on, my wife heard from her friends and friends of friends that they have had very bad service at this place. Also, my wife heard about how the owner of Apsara has very bad business practices. She moved into this shopping complex not long ago and forcefully closed down two other places due to one service she provided. Waxing services were provided at two other locations in the plaza and they had to shut down. One of the locations was a small beauty parlor. The lady who rented that space had been there for over a decade and had to close down due to Apsara's unethical business practices. She is just there to make money but does not care for the clientele. read more

Went there last Friday to get a much needed Brazilian wax. The reviews I read weren't bad so decided to go check them out because it was close to work. Let me tell you, this was the worst waxing experience I've ever had. The wax was too hot and she went over the same areas more than once.. My nether region was sore and red for about 3 days. I wasn't given any type of skin tend or after waxing cream. She just used some oil to remove any left over wax. All I can say is never again. I have got my eyelashes done here the spa room was nice nd calming but the lady didn't tell me anything about the process on how it was done, how long it was gonna take. DO NOT GO TO APSARA! I went to Apsara since there is no other parlor in my vicinity that does eye brow threading. DIRTY PLACE: First of all the place is very shabby and the process of waxing is very unhygienic. They do not sterilize the stainless steel spatula that is used for applying the wax and use the same spatula on every customer. CUSTOMER SERVICE: There are 2 women there, Haripriya and Darshana who are extremely arrogant, rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and discriminatory! Even though I'm an Indian myself and hail from India, I was very upset at the way these two women were behaving with the other non-Indian clients. I saw them chatting but not picking up calls. Moreover, they have long waiting (average time is 40 mins to an hour). They would go and attend other customers in the middle of your service. They mostly speak in their native language and their English is horrible. Haripriya literally forced me to write a good review as she did with every customer. She refused to provide me a service unless I wrote a good review. She ensured to check every review before it was posted. I had to come back home and change my review. SKILLS: My eye brows are spoilt totally and are uneven. Also, I got multiple bruises and burns during waxing on my arm due to their negligence. PRICE: The place is over priced as compared to its below average service. Eyebrow costs $12 which was much more than what you may pay at the Mall kiosks. I am not going there ever again! read more

After reading all the reviews on Yelp, I was a little hesitant to get a service done at this place , However I gave it a shot to find out more about this place. Note, I can very picky especially when it comes things like this. Verdict: Its actually not that bad. I was expecting more of a messy, and chaotic space. Maybe the timing has something to do with it. The spa salon has its own reception area, very welcoming, clean and organized. The threading area is very well kept. the rooms were very spacious and has nice decor to it. Manpreet was the young lady who helped me and she was very nice and gentle. In terms of what other reviewer said about double dipping, I did not see them double dipped. They have bunches of sticks and each time she dipped the stick on the wax warmer, she would use a new stick. Also, she used gloves so thats a plus! I used to go there every month for my eye brow and waxing. I went there for about 4 years since it was very close to my work. I would say it all depends who does your service. Sometimes they do a great job on your eyeborw and waxing and some times some one with less experience would perfomr a poor job on your eyebrow. They don't really have a great custoemr service, but they have great prices for the serivces. If you don't really care to see smiling faces and friendly greetings, then you should not have any problem going there. If you care more about customer service and don't mind to pay extra money, then you might have to concider somewhre else. I would recommend it to people who choose to pay less for the same service. read more

Went here on a week day as soon as it opened. The one woman that was there greeted me quickly and asked me to sign in. I did and within a few minutes other employees began showing up, so the wait wasn't very long. I looked at the list of services and decided on a bikini wax for $20 and eyebrow threading for $8. I was called back and I asked to use the bathroom. The bathroom wasn't very appealing, the salon kinda looks like someone started unpacking but hasn't gotten everything they needed yet. Even just a little music would have made it more comfortable there. There were no paper towels in the bathroom. I let a woman know when I went out. In the room I was asked to take off my pants and underwear and get up onto a flat table. I then said to the woman, I'd like only the sides cleaned up and a trim. (using hand motions even) She then made comments about the length of hair making it painful to be waxed. (sorry TMI) She then slopped wax onto me and before I could realize what she was doing she took off WAY more on one side than just a side! At that point I realized that there must have been a language barrier, or she just didn't care. i decided that it would be silly to back out now, so I just took my punishment. :( I've never had the "Brazilian" wax before but she dripped wax on pieces of the female anatomy that I don't believe should have wax on them. I had wax all over my hands and lower body and when i went to the bathroom again, there were still no paper towels to dry off with. Afterwards I was so sore. It's been two days and I'm feeling better, but wouldn't go back there if you paid me. It's really strange that they get such good reviews on Google. And btw the Brazilian wax was $50 in comparison to the wax i had requested for $20 :( on a side note: they also did my eyebrows (threading) and did an excellent job. Good for threading.... Anything else forget it. They have an appointment book for appointments which they don't bother to follow. Waited 30 mins for a scheduled appointment for a microdermabrasion. The lady while cleaning my face rubbed the cleanser too close to my nostrils and I inhaled the stuff and started coughing..... Very bad experience. I did my deep cleansing facial today, I payed 80$ for facial and guess what the lady did, she just applied scrub on my face cleaned it and she applied cream cleaned it and again she applied pack Done with the facial. She did not even massage for at least 10 min also. When I asked the lady she was rude to me. I did my job, face pack will take 15-20 min to dry and 10 min just to clean my face total 25-30 min. So did I pay 80$ just for washing my face applying pack .. Cant i do that at home... Disgusting i will never recommend and will never visit again good bye. bought a Groupon for henna tatoo and went to redeem it today . After a confirmed appointment time. I arrived 10mins ahead of appointment and checked in and I was waiting for a while. I later checked past 15mins my appointment time, they still not ready. Tupical Indian establishment where time, appointments mean nothing. They didn't apologise or anything. For the Groupon service I only got one side on one hand and she said that's all the Groupon gets you. It was only one line of design took her less than 5mins to do. Got the groupon for a brazilian. This is the worst place to go for your first brazilian OR EVER. Nothing is really explained to you because the place is very bare bones. The whole facility had a very unsanitary feel.She did not change the sheeting (there was a tanning stain on it) and left the door a quarter open the whole time. At least she wore gloves. It was VERY VERY painful. I've had a brazilian since at a much better kept up place and a better technician and it was a world of difference! You get what you pay for. read more

Below average rating. First time going and not liking the experience. In the customer service industry is all about communication and satisfying the customer desire. Communication is beyond lack. Entered the business establishment and there was no welcome greeting. No outspoken whatsoever from the staff. First impression is not lasting and it's true it's important. Failed that category. While eyebrow session, it was fast and somewhat effective. I had a vibe it was a sloppy job done to my face. It's just the instinct of gut feeling of not satisfy. I literally had to check so I get my money's worth. The older lady didn't get her name seems like she doesn't care the outcome. It's like a 70% complete. Usually The brushing part and trim is done after threading is complete. This session is totally different from other establishment. Instead it's opposite, prior threading process. Honestly, I think this older lady is not certified and just go with it. Just the energy is horrible. Awful experience. Not only I had to pointed out the sloppiness such as trim and missing spots. I recommend not to go and waste ur valuable tile and money on this place. Regardless if the lady was tired, bored whatever the case may be, no excuse for such pathetic service. Notice there are several other locations too. Let's hope it's not same horrible service as experienced. Maybe it's just that one particular person. I've been going off and on since they opened and it's become a beautiful spa from dry wall partitions. I've had three ladies thread for me. The one I see now is there on Thursday and I make it a point to get there on Thursday. I should know her name, but I don't remember. And for those that have a problem with their accents, her's is barely noticeable. She's extremely detail oriented, super sweet, and minus a girl in Texas, the absolute best threader I've come across. That last star is missing because the owner is severely lacking customer service skills. We had a disagreement about the service I wanted and what she felt I needed. Don't argue with me about my skin. Pretty sure she remembers just like I do because she never serves me and I'll let someone go in front of me before I let her touch me. Wow, the customer service in this place is terrible (as is the decor). I walked into this salon to get my eyebrows threaded. No one else was around except for one person who was sitting behind the counter and was LOUDLY eating her lunch. She stood there chewing away and then I finally asked her how long the wait would be. She told me (in a not so friendly tone) that she was busy eating her lunch and I would have to wait 5-10 minutes. I guess she wanted me to just there and watch and hear her eat as I waited. There's no way I would go back there. The place looked terrible and I don't think this is how you run a business. I'd gladly pay more elsewhere in a clean salon where they know how to treat potential customers. read more
