I came with a group of friends for my guys birthday on March 12th and the food was subpar. I had the Salmon dish and I'll give it a 4/10. You all need to hire a solid chef to make tasty food. Please do better. The vibe is too good to not have good tasty food. One of my friends said and I quote 'Food tastes like it came out of a can' ‍ Please do better read more

We visited Apron in Atlanta to celebrate a birthday. They were expecting us and we were seated immediately by Cynthia who was most gracious and hospitable. Our waitress, Angela, promptly came to our table to review the menu, answer our questions, render some excellent recommendations and take our orders. The manager, Lon, who coincidentally directed us to the restaurant upon our entrance into the building, came by the table and chatted with us for several minutes. It was then that we learned much about the hotel, it's relationship with Porshe and the airline industry. He shared that the track adjacent to the restaurant is used by Porsche to give paying patrons a race car experience. We look forward to our next visit to Apron and having an even better dining experience. Dr. Easley read more

Was visiting this restaurant for the 1st time I had out-of-town guests and. Needless to say, I was not impressed from the get. I made reservations for 1130am for a brunch. No one was in the restaurant and from 11:45 to 1150 we finally found a server. They informed us that because the hotel has 150 guests they are doing a buffet-style breakfast. We were hungry and had another place to visit so we thought we'd give it a go the eggs were running and cold everything was below room temperature. Everything looked picked over and was the last of the last so we were not able to do seconds. the bacon was good, And the cocktails were excellent. Our server Tabitha was good and unfortunately, she was given poor circumstances to work with. We finally get our bill it was $144. yes, that's right for cold food and cocktails. which I wouldn't have mine paying, and if everything was above par or at least servable. 2 managers later and I mean that...lol We agreed on a price of $90. When you attach your name to the brand Porsche you expect excellence or at least Great. Needless to say, we would have had a better time at IHOP. Hopefully, in the future, they will do better read more

The food was good. We went for brunch. If you are looking for good customer service don't get your hopes up. The service was awful! Our waitress was slow and no knowledge of the menu. She never smiled. For what you pay you think they would be on point. I guess they have not been hit by an secret shopper yet. Let's see if we can change that. read more

My guest and I had an amazing lunch here on Sunday 12/16. The service was excellent, the food was well portioned and so flavorful. He had the seafood stew and I had a crab cake, the shrimp Cobb salad, and then another crab cake because the first one was so good! My salad was delicious but also beautifully presented. The service by the 2 Karens was great as well. I am so glad to have a place like this on the south side of Atlanta so close to home. I plan to come here time and time again. read more

Apron - Shrimp Cobb Salad and Seafood Stew - Southern Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Bedded in the Hotel which made it accessible for me as I was in a business trip in the ATL area. I wasn't too happy with my shrimp on rice as it was over killed with too much sharp cheddar cheese. I felt like the chef dropped the bag of cheese by mistake. My coworkers loved their fish, veg dish and the appetizers. Try it! Just don't try that shrimp/rice with cheddar cheese dish. read more

Made a reservation for 1:45pm on Mother's Day for 8 people. Lunch menu is very simple and limited (salads, burgers, sandwiches, tenders) and yet by 3pm none of our meals was out. Server said chef had advised that our food would be out in ~10 minutes more but that she looked and none of our meals had been started. We left at 3:05pm hungry and extremely disappointed. People who came after us where already eating when we left. read more

It's soooo refreshing to have an upscale hotel in the Hapeville area! The rooftop view is a nice touch. All staff (from valet to front desk to mixologist) were friendly and made me feel welcome. My neighbors & I came here to have a meeting. I already ate so I opted for dessert. Our waiter highly recommended the mango panna cotta & it did not disappoint. I would have liked another scoop of the mixed berry sorbet. It was a 90 degree plus day and the dessert was very refreshing. I would like to see more options on the lunch & dinner menus. The executive chef, Derrick Green, came out & greeted our party of 8-which was a nice & appreciated touch. Valet parking is complimentary as a restaurant customer. I look forward to returning to enjoy an entree & the cool rooftop vibe & view-including the Porche track. Also, the Porche track is a fun experience you should try if you enjoy amusement park rides! read more

Amazing. Quite amazing. My first time visiting any of the restaurants at the Porsche Experience Center. The service was great, our waiter was very informed, and we got to meet the chef. I had the spearhead trout. All of my food was very flavorful, including my Greek salad. I shall return. read more

We had dinner and breakfast here during our stay. The food was excellent! The Angus burger was as good as any I've had in some time and the Souvlaki Chicken sandwich was very good. Breakfast in the morning was omelettes and they were outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant, whether staying here or not. read more

Chose this hotel to stay due to it being a higher quality airport stay, allowing pets and having a nice restaurant. I was super disappointed to show up last night after a day of traveling to the restaurant to realize this was more of a bar scene than a restaurant. There must have been 50 people in there with one bartender, one server and one hostess. It took forever to get my food. Did not get it til 10:30pm. It was a good one and half hour wait for to go food. The food was ok but the menu was short and there weren't any vegetarian options like I had thought. And the service was poor because it was too much for the minimal staff there. Plus, I was looking forward to a nice dining experience instead of a loud and rowdy bar. At least our hotel room and the bed was very comfortable. read more

Don't bother and save your money! 4 dinner options. Extremely overpriced. Martinis served in champagne glasses half full. 15 minutes to get a drink. Told they didn't have lemons for water. For being next to the Porsche driving experience and a Kimpton hotel restaurant they should be embarrassed! We come to Atlanta regularly and this was hands down the worst experience we have ever had! read more

Ordered 2 NY strips last night- medium rare. They were charred. When we sent them back, they came back even more charred. Our waitress Agnes was a SWEETHEART and the highlight of the entire experience. Bad food- great service. read more

So five star, the floors should be gold! Incredible food, attentive and professional service and dishes that are so authentic it hurts! The mezzo platter is delicious and a large portion. The fish is one of the most delicious ever with a lovely lemon flavor, perfectly crispy. I substituted the risotto for potatoes and it added more flavor. Even if you only sort of like fish, get this dish- your life will never be the same. I am now a mermaid and I'm swimming away. read more

The staff is incredible. Good is equivalent to IHOP, but the coffee is phenomenal and the environment is awesome.

First impression wasn't at all what I was expecting. To see the prices and the look of the location I was expecting a more upscale inviting restaurant. Instead it felt like those working there were being bothered. Then it took a long time to receive drinks from the bar and the appetizers. The food came out in a relatively good amount of time however my rice was under cooked. The flavor was really good but hard to eat. We did arrive at 11:20 and the place had no other guests but the staff was huddled at the bar the majority of the time. I was hoping for a much better experience as I believed this to be a great restaurant! I hope to see changes in the future. read more

The Eggs Benedict with salmon were absolutely delicious and the hash browns were perfect. Service was very good. But the Bloody Mary was downright boring. Most places have upped their Bloody Mary and cocktail game and Apron needs to catch up. read more

Some friends and I dined at The Apron tonight to celebrate our birthdays. I recommended the restaurant. I had been several times. But I had not been in over 6 or 7 months. Upon arriving, the first changed I notice was Overland Hotel charged for parking. I immediately called restaurant from my car and asked if they validated. I was told yes. Our reservation was for 6pm. We were not seated until 6:30pm. The restaurant only had TWO staffers beside kitchen staff. The guy who checked us in, was also seating people and taking orders. The other staffer was the bartender. The food did come out fairly quick. And all of our dishes were delicious. After dinner, we took in the airport sites from the rooftop. We prepare to exit and learn the restaurant ONLY OFFERS A DISCOUNT ON PARKING. This was very upsetting to me and my guest. After spending over $200 for dinner... we were hustled for parking money!!!! Really??? Porsche is suffering...they need to hit up people for parking money??? SAD read more

Even if the food wasn't great, our experience still would've been great due to our server Agnes. She needs to be in sales because not only was she friendly and knowledgeable, she made us feel so comfortable and willing to spend money due to her suggestions and humor. One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. Request being placed in Agnes's section if you go because she is a hoot. read more

Where do I start? The decor is gorgeous, chic and intimate. The food is PHENOMENAL! I came in for both dinner and breakfast while staying at this property and I was blown away during both visits. The thing that made it the most amazing experience though was the service that was provided by our waitress Agnes. She was hilarious, attentive, and provided the best customer service experience that I've ever had at any restaurant. She made sure that our table had everything they we needed and provided some much appreciated laughs. Kudos to Apron management for having such an enjoyable team! read more

My husband and I tried this place for the first time on a Saturday for a friend's birthday and the restaurant was not crowded at all when we arrived at 7:30pm. Our server for the evening was Agnes and she did a good job but the food took forever to come out. Not sure what was going on but we did not get our food until after 9:30. I ordered the Lemon Brined chicken with Cauliflower Risotto and my husband kept it safe and got the burger which he said was delicious. Now back to my chicken. I was expecting chicken on the bone not a dried up looking chicken breast and that Risotto was the worst thing I have tried in a long time. It tasted like oatmeal when it sits in the pot too long. No flavor only mint. They need to take that item off the menu or revise it. I sent it back but the other people I was with that ordered it just suffered through it. To replace my dish I went with one of the Pasta items and was pleased with that. There were a few items on the menu that they ran out of like the Lamb and the Bronzino fish. I would like to say the service in terms of how we were treated was good and Lauren was an angel to assist Agnes. Would I drive out there again for dinner? No but we have another birthday celebration there in August so I have no choice but to return but now I know what to expect. read more

What a nice dinner for Fathers Day. Reservation was easy on OpenTable and the place was deserted. Osso Bucco was special. Sea bass was exceptional. Angus burger is huge but missing something (as good as the sauces on the other items were in surprised there wasn't something on the burger.) Best of all was our server Agnes who had that rare blend of personality and professionalism. Highly recommended. read more

Menu is limited and feels dated. Presentation was great but service needs major improvement. Waited 15 minutes for our waitress to return after giving us menus. She never returned, someone else took the table in a nearly empty restaurant. The decor is nice, with the wine racks on the side... Problem is wine list is not all that great. Again, needs improvement. For the price it was a meh experience but could be improved with tweaking. read more

Recently had breakfast here during a visit. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. All the food taste wonderful and it was hot and fresh. I recommend the omelet meal if your hungry. The yogurt was sweet and the right texture. The oatmeal was very good as well. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. Also, if your a smoke salmon fan, it is some of the best smoke salmon I have tasted. Overall, when visiting the area, I will definitely be back. Great start to a great day! read more

Received two incredible recommendations from the server. Honestly, I didn't want my meal to end. Place itself is not very busy, when I was there, which allows for more personalized service. Doesn't hurt to have the view of the Porsche building + racetrack. read more

After a very nice lunch there earlier this week, we decided to try their Sunday brunch. Don't waste your time. The service was spotty at best and the food was very mediocre and expensive for what we got. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. read more

This place sucks! On our first night at the Kimpton Overland hotel, We went downstairs to eat at the Apron. We ordered their calamari and got rubber and fried crumbs. They are charging way too much for drinks that hardly has any alcohol and when we tried to place a simple order of fries to our room the next day, we couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. After connecting with front desk, they did pick up, but then hung up on us without even saying hello. After that front desk informed us to come down stairs if we want to place an order for room service?! What the actual f? I have never had such terrible service and we are staying in this hotel for a whole week. I am shocked! You would think with Covid they would be happy to have less contact with guests and sending food to a room is smart but I guess they don't care about their guests or return business. read more

Went here for a last-minute dinner with a couple of friends last weekend and it was fantastic. The ambience is great, the food was prepared and presented with care and delicious and we loved the wine. Our server was Agnes and she was a treat! This is a restaurant that has a great location and should be outstanding especially since it's located in a 4 star hotel next to Porsche's NA headquarters. However food quality has gone downhill. I came in for lunch with a business group I was hoping to impress. Ordered the Shrimp Cobb salad and you can smell the bad shrimp before the server brought it to the table. Do the kitchen staff not realize that when the shrimp starts to smell you throw it out and not serve it. This place is looking for someone to get seriously ill before they make a change in the kitchen. read more
