Was visiting this restaurant for the 1st time I had out-of-town guests and. Needless to say, I was not impressed from the get. I made reservations for 1130am for a brunch. No one was in the restaurant and from 11:45 to 1150 we finally found a server. They informed us that because the hotel has 150 guests they are doing a buffet-style breakfast. We were hungry and had another place to visit so we thought we'd give it a go the eggs were running and cold everything was below room temperature. Everything looked picked over and was the last of the last so we were not able to do seconds. the bacon was good, And the cocktails were excellent. Our server Tabitha was good and unfortunately, she was given poor circumstances to work with. We finally get our bill it was $144. yes, that's right for cold food and cocktails. which I wouldn't have mine paying, and if everything was above par or at least servable. 2 managers later and I mean that...lol We agreed on a price of $90. When you attach your name to the brand Porsche you expect excellence or at least Great. Needless to say, we would have had a better time at IHOP. Made a reservation for 1:45pm on Mother's Day for 8 people. Lunch menu is very simple and limited (salads, burgers, sandwiches, tenders) and yet by 3pm none of our meals was out. My guest and I had an amazing lunch here on Sunday 12/16. The service was excellent, the food was well portioned and so flavorful. He had the seafood stew and I had a crab cake, the shrimp Cobb salad, and then another crab cake because the first one was so good! My salad was delicious but also beautifully presented. The service by the 2 Karens was great as well. I am so glad to have a place like this on the south side of Atlanta so close to home. I plan to come here time and time again. read more

Bedded in the Hotel which made it accessible for me as I was in a business trip in the ATL area. I wasn't too happy with my shrimp on rice as it was over killed with too much sharp cheddar cheese. It's soooo refreshing to have an upscale hotel in the Hapeville area! The rooftop view is a nice touch. All staff (from valet to front desk to mixologist) were friendly and made me feel welcome. My neighbors & I came here to have a meeting. I already ate so I opted for dessert. Our waiter highly recommended the mango panna cotta & it did not disappoint. I would have liked another scoop of the mixed berry sorbet. It was a 90 degree plus day and the dessert was very refreshing. I would like to see more options on the lunch & dinner menus. The executive chef, Derrick Green, came out & greeted our party of 8-which was a nice & appreciated touch. Valet parking is complimentary as a restaurant customer. I look forward to returning to enjoy an entree & the cool rooftop vibe & view-including the Porche track. Chose this hotel to stay due to it being a higher quality airport stay, allowing pets and having a nice restaurant. I was super disappointed to show up last night after a day of traveling to the restaurant to realize this was more of a bar scene than a restaurant. There must have been 50 people in there with one bartender, one server and one hostess. It took forever to get my food. Did not get it til 10:30pm. It was a good one and half hour wait for to go food. The food was ok but the menu was short and there weren't any vegetarian options like I had thought. And the service was poor because it was too much for the minimal staff there. Plus, I was looking forward to a nice dining experience instead of a loud and rowdy bar. So five star, the floors should be gold! Incredible food, attentive and professional service and dishes that are so authentic it hurts! The mezzo platter is delicious and a large portion. The fish is one of the most delicious ever with a lovely lemon flavor, perfectly crispy. I substituted the risotto for potatoes and it added more flavor. Even if you only sort of like fish, get this dish- your life will never be the same. I am now a mermaid and I'm swimming away. read more

The staff is incredible. Good is equivalent to IHOP, but the coffee is phenomenal and the environment is awesome.

First impression wasn't at all what I was expecting. To see the prices and the look of the location I was expecting a more upscale inviting restaurant. Instead it felt like those working there were being bothered. Then it took a long time to receive drinks from the bar and the appetizers. The food came out in a relatively good amount of time however my rice was under cooked. The flavor was really good but hard to eat. We did arrive at 11:20 and the place had no other guests but the staff was huddled at the bar the majority of the time. I was hoping for a much better experience as I believed this to be a great restaurant! I hope to see changes in the future. read more

Some friends and I dined at The Apron tonight to celebrate our birthdays. I recommended the restaurant. I had been several times. But I had not been in over 6 or 7 months. Upon arriving, the first changed I notice was Overland Hotel charged for parking. I immediately called restaurant from my car and asked if they validated. I was told yes. Our reservation was for 6pm. We were not seated until 6:30pm. The restaurant only had TWO staffers beside kitchen staff. The guy who checked us in, was also seating people and taking orders. The other staffer was the bartender. The food did come out fairly quick. And all of our dishes were delicious. After dinner, we took in the airport sites from the rooftop. We prepare to exit and learn the restaurant ONLY OFFERS A DISCOUNT ON PARKING. This was very upsetting to me and my guest. After spending over $200 for dinner... we were hustled for parking money!!!! Really??? Porsche is suffering...they need to hit up people for parking money??? SAD read more

Where do I start? The decor is gorgeous, chic and intimate. The food is PHENOMENAL! I came in for both dinner and breakfast while staying at this property and I was blown away during both visits. The thing that made it the most amazing experience though was the service that was provided by our waitress Agnes. She was hilarious, attentive, and provided the best customer service experience that I've ever had at any restaurant. My husband and I tried this place for the first time on a Saturday for a friend's birthday and the restaurant was not crowded at all when we arrived at 7:30pm. Our server for the evening was Agnes and she did a good job but the food took forever to come out. Not sure what was going on but we did not get our food until after 9:30. I ordered the Lemon Brined chicken with Cauliflower Risotto and my husband kept it safe and got the burger which he said was delicious. Now back to my chicken. I was expecting chicken on the bone not a dried up looking chicken breast and that Risotto was the worst thing I have tried in a long time. It tasted like oatmeal when it sits in the pot too long. No flavor only mint. They need to take that item off the menu or revise it. I sent it back but the other people I was with that ordered it just suffered through it. To replace my dish I went with one of the Pasta items and was pleased with that. There were a few items on the menu that they ran out of like the Lamb and the Bronzino fish. I would like to say the service in terms of how we were treated was good and Lauren was an angel to assist Agnes. Would I drive out there again for dinner? No but we have another birthday celebration there in August so I have no choice but to return but now I know what to expect. read more

She never returned, someone else took the table in a nearly empty restaurant. The decor is nice, with the wine racks on the side... Problem is wine list is not all that great. Recently had breakfast here during a visit. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. All the food taste wonderful and it was hot and fresh. I recommend the omelet meal if your hungry. The yogurt was sweet and the right texture. The oatmeal was very good as well. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. Also, if your a smoke salmon fan, it is some of the best smoke salmon I have tasted. This place sucks! On our first night at the Kimpton Overland hotel, We went downstairs to eat at the Apron. We ordered their calamari and got rubber and fried crumbs. They are charging way too much for drinks that hardly has any alcohol and when we tried to place a simple order of fries to our room the next day, we couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. After connecting with front desk, they did pick up, but then hung up on us without even saying hello. After that front desk informed us to come down stairs if we want to place an order for room service?! What the actual f? I have never had such terrible service and we are staying in this hotel for a whole week. I am shocked! You would think with Covid they would be happy to have less contact with guests and sending food to a room is smart but I guess they don't care about their guests or return business. read more

Do the kitchen staff not realize that when the shrimp starts to smell you throw it out and not serve it.
