Super cute aesthetic flower shop but also a boba shop/cafe at the same time! If you ask most girls, they would know that April 23 is known for their BEAUTIFUL flower bouquets that any girl would literally want. When I found out they had their own mini cafe selling boba and little snacks, I was absolutely ecstatic. My absolute favorite is the cake cream bubble tea. If you've had royal tea (Chinatown), it reminds me of the ice cream milk tea there! the boba is really good. I also tried their taro milk tea which kind've had a weird taste IMO so I wouldn't get it again (& will prob just stick to my cake cream). We also tried their mousse (the blue heart one) and it was basically a mango/passion fruit flavor. It was so good I would totally recommend!
Disclaimer: my review is only for their taro fresh milk drink, I've never tried anything else here. The vibe is cute and they have really gorgeous flowers in their flower fridge and they seem to have floral arrangement classes in the back so maybe their thing is not the bbt & dessert counter in the front so don't come here for the bbt & come for the flowers ? Maybe their other bbt is totally fine but I was very displeased with my taro milk drink. This is one of my fav things to order and really not that hard to make. The taro milk uses fresh taro, which is exactly what I was looking for HOWEVER their taro paste is not flavoured at all. This drink is usually supposed to use slightly sweetened taro paste, but I feel like this place doesn't actually know how to make this and literally just cooked the taro in water and mashed it. It will taste like if you mashed up potatoes and then put it in the milk...that same texture. Their taro also had almost no taro flavour in itself either so in the end when I mixed it all up I was just drinking what tastes like just milk. The milk they used was good - creamy and delicious, but why did I just pay $8 for a cup of milk + a little bit of mashed taro? Oh also, they have no public bathrooms, but there is space for you to sit indoors. I've never been to a cafe with seating that has no bathrooms.
Another cute boba shop on Newbury street. It also looks like they have a back room for workshops/events for floral arrangements or fluid art. The space is bigger than expected and has cute tablecloths, floral swing bench, and good vibes. There are no public bathrooms, but the worker there was very kind to let us know of another location close by. Once my friend and I saw the cute frozen bear we knew we needed to get it. I ordered the Oreo cake milk tea latte topped with the frozen milk tea bear. The drink was really super cute and actually tasted good. It wasn't overly sweet, and I could taste the black milk tea along with the crushed Oreos. The boba wasn't anything special, but it was still soft and chewy as expected. Overall, a bit expensive, but great quality.
I visited this place while shopping on Newbury. It was interesting how it was a tea place inside of a flower shop. The menu was quite extensive. The taro tea we tried had an interesting pudding-like topping in it in addition to the bubbles. There are tons of boba places on Newbury, so I hope this one makes it!
Such a great little shop on Newbury, very welcoming staff we went later in the day and there weren't too many desserts left so go earlier in the day if you want a specific one. We tried the chocolate hazelnut bear mousse cake and it was amazing. We also tried the brown sugar milk boba tea and it was the best boba we have ever had. The cafe is just part of the business, the flower arrangements they had were beautiful however we just came for the cafe. The shop is clean and a beautiful aesthetic.
Got the brown sugar boba and it was sooo good . It was very sweet but that forced me not to drink it a lot. The employees were very nice and gave us tons of recommendations. I will definitely be back soon to try all they other drinks and adorable desserts they have. The flowers were gorgeous too!!!
My friend wanted to try this place since she walked by a few times and this place was on my list too. But it was a huge disappointment and a waste of money. It is a cute flower shop that has a mini cafe that sells boba tea and desserts where you can take pictures for IG. I ordered the colorful fruit tea with less sugar and less ice. It was ok, it was refreshing but lack of fruits and tea flavor. I ordered that cat paw cheesecake and my friend ordered the 3d cheesecake. Both taste the same, less sweet but more like a mousse than cheesecake. The cake is cute looking but don't taste good.
I love the vibe here! The flowers are so lovely. I really liked the fresh milk with brown sugar boba. It's the right amount of sweetness and the boba pearls have great texture as well. We did not like the Oreo milk tea as much though.
Special Taro milk tea w/ pearls: (50% sweetness) Got one of their top drinks and the taste did not disappoint. This drink has taro purée that was spread along the sides of the cup and I loved that it was made with real taro. Their milk tea was pretty decent, tasted like your standard milk tea. There were also boba pearls placed inside, however, the portion given was a disappointment. I felt as if they skimped on the boba pearls. Boba: The Boba pearls were perfectly sweet in flavor, however, I thought the texture itself was a bit on the softer end.
It's a cute and solid boba place on Newbury - saves you the trouble of going all the way to Chinatown. The drinks are definitely on the pricier side but also boba in general is overpriced to begin with and considering it's on Newbury it's totally understandable. I ordered one of their more popular choices on the menu - Medium Strawberry Milk with pearls included. The price was around $6. I gave it 4 stars because it's def a solid boba place, not too sweet and full of flavor. This just wouldn't be a place I'd come to regularly or have a go to order memorized. But perhaps things may change - I am open to the possibility if I had a couple of extra dollars to spare.
Strolling along newbury and came across this place. Very cute set up and great presentation. Lots of places to take IG photos in the shop. However both drinks I ordered werent very good. The oreo was way too sweet. The boba was hard. The colorful fruit tea was also very sweet even though I requested lightly sweetened. Of course, all difficult street parking.
Since April 23 opened on Newbury st I wanted to visit and I finally got the chance! When I first entered the place was so cute and aesthetic with flower everywhere! The employees where so nice and sweet and they had these cute cups and seating everywhere. The drinks there where okay but I definitely recommend it!!!
I went again recently and got the Mango Fresh Milk with Crystal Pearls and the Cat Paw Cheesecake, which was an adorable Asian style cheesecake topped with pink jelly candy. It was both lightly sweet and fluffy, but leaned a little on the cream cheese side for my liking. Meanwhile the canned mango for the Mango Fresh Milk was on the syrupy sweet side, but it still paired well with the milk as both balanced each out. I'm glad the crystal pearls were the suggested toppings, as they enhance the flavor of the drink toward the light, fruity side.
We came here on a Sunday afternoon and were excited to try their desserts, however they did not have anything but drinks available. We were several hours away from closing so was strange that they didn't have anything left, but that was a little disappointing honestly. Their drink menu is decent and had a good variety of things to try. I settled on a fruit tea and it wasn't too bad, however it was a little pricy and overall was just mediocre as it wasn't too memorable or flavored strongly so it felt watered down. Overall, there are several bubble tea shops around Newbury - I wouldn't recommend this one, especially if you're only looking for a drink as it wasn't anything spectacular. read more
This cafe and florist shop is located on Newbury street and the entrance is cute. My first impression was that the inside looks lovely and you can immediately see the tasty desserts and flower bouquets. However, once I was standing inside, I felt overwhelmed by how crowded it felt since there were a lot of people waiting for their order by the door. I think at the time they were understaffed so it was hard for them to attend quickly to everyone. I had to wait about 5-10 minutes for someone to notice me and ask what I would like to order. I would suggest going earlier or anytime when it's not busy (I went around 4 pm) since the workers seemed overwhelmed due to there being a lot of people coming in. I would also go early since they ran out of fruit teas, but I was still happy they had desserts since that was the main reason I came to visit. The staff seemed impatient at times and not very organized when it came to providing us with the correct order. At first, we weren't going to sit inside but me and my boyfriend were able to find a table. It would have been helpful if it was cleaned off since there was food leftover. It was also unclear where we could even put away used plates and silverware. I didn't want to say anything though since I knew they were already busy. Once we got our desserts, they were photo worthy but it kind of lacked in the taste category. It didn't taste as fresh as I would have hoped but I liked the chocolate bear mousse more than I did the cat paw cheesecake. My boyfriend said his taro milk tea was tasty and he finished all the desserts so they were tasty to him. I think overall, the reason I am giving them 3 stars is because of the staff being impatient when taking and providing us with our order. I also didn't like how they didn't have a designated place to put away dishes. I say this because we thought we could just give them our plates but it appeared that was not the case. Maybe if I go back, I'll try going earlier and see if maybe it's a different experience. read more
CAT PAW CHEESECAKE Many other cakes -- like coconut , teddy bear , and pig shaped cakes -- also look stunning. Cute indoor decorations as well. Aesthetic & instagrammable -- it also has a wooden swing that has flower around it. A beautiful hidden gem to take your next profile pic. It's located in the Back Bay neighborhood - near many great seafood restaurants, boba shops, and dessert places . Would recommend to check it out! read more

Beautiful floral arrangements! I walked in thinking I would be out of luck with a last minute bouquet but they saved the day! Miss Li helped me pick out flowers and the perfect size arrangement and made it in such a fast time! She was super sweet and patient with me since I'm not too familiar with all of this. I chose the larger bouquet as it was about a dozen flowers with an assortment of flower types. I told her what color of flower and she got to work. The larger bouquet came out to about $100 after tax where as the smaller bouquet (~6 roses) was about $65-70. It took about 30 minutes so I just shopped around and came back to pick it up. I am amazed at how lovely it looked! It was very impressive. I am very thankful she was able to make it for me on the spot. So so happy I found this cute boba & flower shop right on Newbury street! I hope to come back and try their boba and desserts as well! If you're in need of flowers, this is the place to go~ read more

the drinks here are innovative and beautiful to look at. it tastes nothing like traditional bubble tea. i would say for the size/price, i would prefer to sit down and drink within the cafe (not available at this time) as it is not really a "grab and go" drink. read more
I stoped by and got a pineapple oolong tea. I got kind of impatient while waiting. The couple before me had one drink out of two and by the time the second drink was finished the first person was half way done with theirs. However I do have to say that I enjoyed my tea a lot and would go again and wait more time if needed. It was good. read more

The drink was pricey by comparing to other boba shops, but the quality of the drink was definitely not worth it. The tea was too sweet, and the boba was not properly cooked. The middle of the boba was a bit hard. Could have done better. read more
