Creative Gardens has an actual retail store in Sparks so you can always find them. We dealt with the owner, CJ, who was very knowledgeable on designing a backyard. He listened to what we wanted and then produced a virtual reality model of it on a large screen right there in the office. He had the ability to make real time changes as we requested them. This is a family operated business with CJ being the 3rd generation owner. His mom is the office manager and his sister runs the retail operations of the store. From the minute we walked in the door, they put us at ease and made us feel very welcome. The fact that they could make real world changes on the computer sold us on going with them. It was that and how well they treated us from the moment we walked into the business. During the build we had multiple changes and additions. The field supervisor, Jeff, is awesome to work with and doesn't know the word "no". He always says "we can do that". Their work crews were also great. Their crew leader, Cruz, can build just about anything and runs a tight ship. We really couldn't be happier with our backyard and the relationships we built with the Creative Garden staff. They have our full support and recommendation for their work. Oh and they are priced very reasonably.

We walk in and was immediately greeted. Nice. The store is very open and clearly separated by department. Everything is neatly organized and the store is clean. I didn't see any broken items or messy areas. There is a clothing menu that is priced according to type and not necessarily the brand so that can be hit or miss. While browsing, we had another employee sincerely greet us as well. Very kind. I liked that there was not obnoxious music playing or too loud. It was normal and at a low level. Even though the store was somewhat sparse, we managed to buy 5 items. I assume that since they are new, still waiting for donations. Prices are fair and less than what Goodwill charges. The other ding is that the clothing racks and sizing are non-sensical. Typically you size your racks going left to right or clockwise. The size ring should be in front with the corresponding size to the right of it and THEN it should snake to the other side like a figure 8 until you reach the end. I could not figure out where my size was because it would be on the right of the ring in one aisle but on the left of it on the next aisle. It got so confusing that I gave up. They must not have a real merchandiser on staff? Anyway, it was an overall positive experience and all of the employees was truly pleasant and kind.

I methodically looked through every single item (which I always do, because I feel like if I don't look at everything, I'll miss that "magic item"). Got to the cashier- She said because the two went marked she would not do the 50% off-yet I had a photo of the one I purchased last week.. So disappointing as we have never had any problems.. Ended up with one clearance plant.staff needs to be more diligent marking the plants.. Those plants will end up dying and could if went to a good home..
