Despite the 3 items listed in my earlier review, the refrigerator continued to leak and they came back some four times until they finally replaced the pan at the bottom of the fridge and that was the end of the leaking. Seems there was a hairline crack which was difficult to see. They replaced the pan at no cost . Everything came under the six week warrenty. My total cost was only the initial visit. Couldnt be happier with my experience with Phx appl. repair. They know how to bring a customer back and when something else in the kitchen breaks, they;ll be the first I'll call. read more

Recently called Appliance Works based on the reviews here on Yelp about the ice maker on my Samsung refrigerator. Scott came out next day and replaced the unit and we gave it 24 hours and it still wouldn't make ice. Came out a second time thinking the new maker was faulty and replaced it again... Still no ice. Third time was a different strategy and Scott replaced the logic board in the back of the refrigerator and ice started dropping in an hour. I'm impressed that there was no question about return visits, no extra charges, no surprises and that Scott was able to diagnose a problem that turned out be a bit more complicated than it first seemed. A pleasure to work with Appliance works and I highly recommend them and will certainly use them again in the future. read more

The Best I could ask for! Fridge started becoming warm and would not cool down after setting thermostat to coldest. When I called to set up an appointment the receptionist was friendly and got to the heart of the matter quickly by asking a few pertinent questions. She was actually trying to get somebody to me the same day even though it was already after noon when I called! I was expecting maybe a couple day wait. She was able to schedule Scott for me the next day with a convenient 2 hour window of 9-11am. She told me he would call when he was on the way which he did 20 minutes out. He showed up friendly and happy to do his work, quickly diagnosed the problem and said it would be a relatively easy fix. No needless up-selling or trying to pad the invoice. I agreed and work was done within the hour that he arrived. Great price, way less than replacing this expensive fridge would have been. Honesty and Integrity are values this company lives by in my opinion. We will definitely use them for any future repair needs. Thank you Scott! read more

My LG washing machine stopped working and from YouTube videos I suspected the motor had gone bad. From the LG warranty I find the motor has a 10 year parts warranty so I call LG. They are a pain to work with because they are all from India and hard to understand sometimes unless you ask for a supervisor which will get you a person from the states but it may take a while for them to call you back. The LG person gives me 2 authorized repair companies and I call Appliance Works with better reviews. They come out at a decent price and say yep, the motor sensor is bad and LG will supply the whole motor for free under warranty if I can show Appliance Works a copy of the receipt. I can't find the receipt. So they will have to charge me for parts and labor. They have to order the parts anyway, and suggest I look for my receipt before ordering. So I pay their diagnosis fee, let them leave, and I search harder to find my receipt. I find it. Appliance Works wants an amount over 3 times their diagnosis price to install the motor which they acknowledge will take only 10 minutes to install and less time than their diagnosis. So I call the other Authorized Appliance Repair Company and their install price is significantly less and they have the motor in stock (no ordering required). They schedule me in the next work day, and never ask for a washing machine purchase receipt. They can tell from the serial number the washer is less than 10 years old. They show up on time, have the motor with them, and replace the motor in 10 minutes. I gave them 5 stars. Rowan at Appliance Works was excellent and if I were reviewing just him I would have given him 5 stars also. Unfortunately Appliance Works the company is a 3rd party repair company for LG and has a bunch of extra hoops to go through for LG washing machine repairs. read more

Called Appliance Works based on Yelp reviews and info from the Better Business Bureau website. Brittany was very courteous, and took time to explain how the cost of the repair worked. We were able to obtain service two days from the day I called which worked fine for us. We have a microwave/oven combination unit. The push button to open the microwave had broken (door could not be opened). Cody arrived timely within the 2-hour window stated. For a fairly simple repair, Cody worked quite hard having to remove both the oven and microwave from a tight-fitting wall space. Once removed, he could get inside the microwave, find the model number and call for the part. He left to get the part-was gone about 30 minutes-repaired the door, and put back the combo- all in a timely manner. Prior to getting the part, he shared the cost of the repair (part, labor) and we felt reasonable. Not only was Cody knowledgeable with all aspects of the repair, he was courteous and friendly. We will certainly use their services again as needed! read more

This was another "refrigerator won't make ice" call for Scott. Fortunately for us, it was just the water supply line was frozen/blocked. Scott explained the situation, and was able to clear it quickly. Timing worked well for our next-day appointment. Overall a very satisfying experience. I called about our refrigerator / freezer. Serviceman Brian showed up on time and was able to determined that the problem was with the temperature control board. Ouch - not cheap but boards are never cheap. Our ice maker wasn't working right either and he saw that it was cracked and leaking. After I agreed to the price for both, he left to get the parts and promptly returned. Brian was pleasant , conversational and he answered all my questions respectfully. So yes, I'm a fan and I will call Appliance Works again. read more

I called Thursday and got a Saturday late morning appointment to replace a lid switch on our 15-year old Whirlpool washing machine. I gave them the model number and they were able to quote me a price over the phone. Brett came over, knew exactly what to do, and completed the job in fifteen minutes for the price quoted. They don't do any warranty work, but if your appliance is out of warranty and you need repairs, these are folks to call. read more

I was so pleased with Appliance Works! Our ice maker in the fridge broke Saturday and we had to shut off the water to the kitchen sink to stop the flood. I called at 8 AM this morning with the model and serial numbers for the fridge and the icemaker. I was told to expect him between 2-4. Right at 2 PM, got a call that he was on the way. Brett was here in about 10 minutes. He was so nice and was able to replace a valve rather than replacing the whole ice maker. I will definitely keep this contact in my phone if we have any other appliance issues. I highly recommend the company and the service from Brett. The women on the phone (his mother and sister) were so polite and helpful. A great company. The repair was much less expensive than I expected. A 5 star in my opinion. Had an issue with our Kenmore front load washer. It was a new washer to us that we inherited after buying a new house. I called two other appliance repair companies and they couldn't be bothered to return my call. And then........I called Appliance Works. What a great experience! They sent out Rowan the same day to fix my refrigerator and the cooktop needed a part so...Rowan came back out the next day with part in hand. Rowan is very knowledgeable and extremely polite! The whole experience was great. I called to get a frig repaired in a rental unit I own. The tech (Scott) showed up on and figured out the problem right away. He explained what was broken and why the frig was not cold but the freezer was. He had the replacement part on the truck and got my frig up and cooling very quick. I called appliance works to find a friendly greeting, but was discouraged that the soonest appointment for my area would be three days away, so I informed them I would call around to find an earlier appointment or call back if I failed. They thanked me and I got to calling. This was on a Wednesday around 3 PM, I called four competing companies and either found they did not answer or had a voicemail system which I left a message for. None called me back at any point so I went with appliance works. They arrived within the two hour window provided, quickly fixed my dryer, charged a fair price, and were polite the entire time. The technician was clean, friendly, and didn't complain that my dryer is in an area without air conditioning, overall a positive experience and the company I will call in the future if I have any other issues. read more

Our refrigerator had been making a noise when the fan was on for several weeks. Then it started shutting itself off and would only come back on when we unplugged it and then plugged it in again. After this kept occuring, I looked online and found Appliance Works with its multiple 5 star ratings from satisfied customers. Sam came out the very next day, on time, and checked it out. He thought it could be 1 of 3 problems, with one of them being very expensive. He told us it might be just that the fan had ice around it, that we should shut it off and let it defrost to see if the problem was solved. Well, that was the problem and for just the low trip-charge price, our refrigerator is working again. We appreciate Sam's honesty in not trying to get us to pay for something that wasn't needed. If you are looking for an on-time, courteous and skilled repair company, you found it at Appliance Works. Scott, our technician, came out to check our Maytag washer that had a burned rubber smell after the last wash load. The company gave a window of time for service but Scott called to let us know he had an earlier opening (much appreciated.) He and the tech in training were both helpful, informative, efficient and thorough. We were both a little anxious about the potential cost since the issue could have been any number of things. Scott put the machine through diagnostics, checked the various parts and then (pleasant surprise) recommended we try a few more loads to see if the issue happened again. There was no apparent repair required. We were told that if the problem repeated, he would apply today's service call to come out and check again. Two did not return my calls and the other told me they could not even come over to look at my dishwasher for five days. I called Appliance Works today and spoke to a woman who answered the phone. I have a GE dishwasher and the control panel plastic cover had cracked so I had removed it and purchased an OEM replacement part. This is a $25 plastic control cover panel. I found out through you tube that the front door needs to be dismantled in order to put the control panel cover back on. The woman told me they couldn't do the work because they had to be the purchaser the replacement part; I guess they want to up charge that. Bottom line they turned down a customer because I didn't want the service guy to come out and tell me what I already knew; I needed to replace the control panel cover and then come back a week later with the part and charge me double what I paid for it. Totally terrible business sense to turn down a job because the customer purchased the same replacement part they would order. By the way replacing the part because I am selling the home and purchasing another. They have lost me as a customer not only for my current home, but my future home as well. Stupid Stupid Stupid! They need to find a person to answer the phone that has a better business sense and better customer service skills. read more

My dryer went out at 12 noon on a Saturday. I called and a very nice woman answered the phone. She got my information and called me back within 5 minutes and told me repairman would be by my house between 1 and 3 that same day. The repairman showed up at 1:30. He diagnosed and repaired my dryer in 30 minutes. The cost was more than reasonable. I would highly recommend this company and will use their services again. read more

Appliance works is awesome! Our family had used another appliance guy for many years. He didn't work on Bosch washing machines so therefore we looked for another appliance repair company and came across appliance works. When we called we got an appointment right away. Steve was our repair man he was very knowledgeable on the washing machine we had and diagnosed it quickly and effectively. I felt as if he was a genuine guy who cared about fixing our appliance now trying to dig our pockets. He walked us through what he did and explained what we need to fix it, how long it would take for the part to come in and how much it would be. I coudnt have ask for a better experience. Its hard to change a company that has always worked for you but I'm grateful to have found this company.
