Absolutely incredible staff. Went over and above to find the correct part for my washer because my model number was missing. They were very friendly and the tech even gave me a little tip to make my job re installing my part much easier. Yes I could have bought this part online cheaper but not only did they have the part in stock their kindness and helpfulness really made it worth keeping my money local. read more

The Lady is rude on the phone. Their appliances are overpriced. They skip your delivery if you don't answer your phone and never explain it's contingent upon delivery.Their appliance installer is incompetent, unprofessional and was in a hurry. He caused damage to the power outlet while ripping on old dryers cord. He didn't finish installation because of the sparks and damage. Of course they didn't offer to pay for the electrician bill that their employee caused. Their 90 day warranty is whack. They Charge you fee for technician to come out to your home and "fix it." A mechanic or technician who doesn't honor their labor or work is a place i avoid. It's another way to scam customers for appliance resales failure to fix the appliances properly before selling them to customers. You have better luck buying new dryer, washer or other appliances for brand new. They cost same or even less when on sale compared to appliance resale used appliances. I would recommend buying new appliance because it has better warranties, no all sales final or no return scams like this business. read more

Needed a refrigerator and appreciated the selection. I understand to order one new at Best Buy is 2 month waiting period for delivery. This place made it easy to shop. Covid conscious , measuring tape provided if needed. Delivered 3 days later as scheduled. Very pleased already recommended to coworkers. Thank you. read more

We are EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the overall experience. We will definitely be customers for life and will tell everyone we know about the wonderful experience we had. We recently moved into a our new home and needed to buy a washer and dryer. We looked online and in stores for several weeks before deciding to go to Appliance Resale. Shelly, who owns the store, is knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely very helpful. We purchased a washer and dryer for a great price and good quality. They guarantee the appliance for 90 days and they stayed true to their word. We bought a GE "smart" washer with low water levels that was super energy efficient, clean and very pretty. It was a great machine, except, it didn't work for us because my man works in the agricultural field and we needed something a little more heavy duty. Shelly (bless her heart) offered to pick it up and swap it out for another washer of our choice at no cost to us. I'm very impressed with their service, delivery and dedication to providing quality appliances for affordable prices. The delivery guy, Mike, helped install the machines and he was careful and efficient with his work. In general, this is a great place to buy your used appliance and know that your supporting a local business that values their customers. Thank you!!! read more

Awesome customer service. I needed a washer for a volunteer Organization. Very fast, smart and friendly.

Fridge was not cold enough, and freezer was working fine. My basic trouble shooting skills lead me to believe it was the Diffuser. So I Called Appliance resale so they can troubleshoot the problem. The tech came out and we didn't have the manual under the fridge, he didn't know how to get it into "Test" mode, and didn't test anything. No Volt meter, no removal of any parts. Nathan asks me what I think the problem is, and I say I think it's the diffuser, he agrees and leaves looking for a new Diffuser part. He calls back and says yeah, it's the diffuser and a new one is $120 + $60 "Service" fee. I called my HVAC guy, and he fixes it for .50 cents for the stupid part that was in the diffuser (NOT THE DIFFUSER Itself). So I pay him his $50 fee, and .50cents for the part and my fridge is fixed. I don't mind paying for work, and for service fees, I'm tired of people coming out and NOT diagnosing the problem, or just guessing what is wrong and expecting to get paid for actually working. The lady that runs the place on Nord wouldn't even give me her name over the phone. I said will I'm going to give you a bad review! She started laughing at me, and telling me they've been dealing with deadbeats for 50 years??? What does that even mean?? Anyway I paid them in full for NO actual work. But I will never use these guys again. I guess it's smart business having a Resale/Repair business. It's in their best Interest NOT to fix your fridge so you can : 1) buy a used one from them or 2) Sell them your fridge for Cheap so they can fix it and screw you over and the new people they sell it to. Great Business guys!!! read more

I have dealt with appliance resale several times. The first is four years ago when I bought a used washer and dryer set, which still works perfectly by the way! The second time I dealt with them they serviced my dryer and it worked as good as new for a reasonable price. The third time I don't with them was today about my refrigerator. I thought I had a leaking water line but after he serviced it and investigated he did not find anything wrong with it. Instead of charging me, he instead told me to call him if I had any further issues. This gives me a lot of faith in this company. They are not in it to make a profit necessarily but to treat their customers well! I'll continue my business with them & recommend them to anyone who wants a good appliance at a fair price! read more

The lady who answers the phone was completely rude when I offered to sell them my washer and dryer. I was unsure of their policy and she just blatantly said "yeah I'm not gonna buy that from you". Will never be giving them business, and would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere to a place more respectful. read more

This place is a ripoff! They have been ripping off the citizens of Chico for years! Their used appliances are usually pretty old and they still want top dollar. I had the wife call and she got prices then I called and questioned them a little bit and got different prices. Then I checked around and found a new oven for cheaper than their used models at Appliance Resale, what a joke! Don go here unless you want to pay more money and get a older less efficient appliance! You can do better Appliance Resale, quit ripping off Chico!!! read more

The female worker there treats you like your stupid when you ask a question and the appliances are way over price. Might as well buy new so you can return it. read more

I have bought many different appliances from this business for apartments that I own. They say that each appliance has a 90 day warranty but you must bring the appliance to them! Which is a CROCK! Within a month of buying a couple of fridges they stopped working and when I called them they refused to come fix/replace them.I really think a business like this should guarantee their work especially with used appliances. I really feel that this place is a scam and I don't recommend them to anyone. read more

So I needed help with installing a gas dryer NOT purchased from them. I called the service department to see if they would come install it and the lady said they probably could and had to ask the service guys. Long story short they could not do it because there is no existing on/off valve but she did give me very detailed info on what to do to get one put on and what the issues were. I was very pleased with their customer service. read more

Called in for service on my washer at my business(Konas on Nord). I bought unit used from them a couple of years ago. Making loud noise spinning that turned out to be motor bearing...Nathan was early to appointment, got unit up and running and back in to action quickly and at a totally fair price.....love these guys....They get that small business doesn't have a ton of money. Will always rely on these guys for service and when I need something new/used..... read more

Wow, dealing with this company was terrible. I bought over 2k in merchandise and when a frig I bought didn't work they refused to give me a refund. They are rude. I find it hard to believe they have been in business for over 10 years. They gave me a price of $15.00 to clean a frig (that sat in the open in their yard for 2 weeks) but then charged me $50.00. Who would pay $50.00 to have someone clean a frig? I would drive to Sacramento before I would use these people again? read more

Spend the extra $200 and buy a new set of machines. I paid $500 for a kenmore washer and dryer set (delivery not included). The dryer worked okay. The washer on the other hand had no safety shut off switch (removed by appliance resale) and was way off balance. I decided we'd have to live with the junky washer until I realized there was no safety mechanism preventing the lid from being opened during spin cycle. As soon as I noticed the safety shut off was absent, I made a trip back to the store. I was told to contact repair tech, who later informed me that those safety devices often cause machine malfunction, so it was likely intentionally by appliance resale! I replied that I have small children and that this was an unacceptable safety hazard. He kindly told me they would replace the part since I was within the 90 days; however, I would need to bring the machine back in to their store for repair, or pay a $60 fee to have a tech come to my house (since I didn't pay the delivery fee upfront and installed myself, he alleged it was a liability). Bogus. How these guys can get away with selling machines that can be opened during spin cycle is a mystery. Not mention the set I bought was NOT worth $500 dollars to begin with. read more

I've called these guys in twice, they have been prompt and reasonably priced, and have worked around landlord/tennant/billing issues. A good local company. read more

We bought a dryer two years ago from this business. I called today to see if they might buy my dryer from me. They said no and they laughed then they said craigslist. Very rude and unprofessional. I will not use them again. read more

Quite possibly the best customer service I have ever received. Shelly is the sweetest human being. My fiancé and I needed a fridge for our new townhouse and they have great quality and awesome prices. We needed up chatting with Shelly for a while, she's a hoot and she gave us a good deal on delivery and the fridge since we live so close. read more

Increased my rating up to four as the washer and dryer are still working fine after 1 1/2 years. Hoping for more years!

We bought a clothes washer and a fridge from this place. Both were well priced and they installed, though we live 35 miles from the shop. The washer went bad on us about 2 months out of warranty. This happened on Saturday about 3 hours before they would close for the weekend. They tested it immediately and sent us off to have lunch while they replaced the motor. They pushed to make sure we'd have our machine back that day. Although their warranty had lapsed, they did the repair free anyway! We did have to bring the machine to them, which wouldn't work for everyone, or for bigger appliances. For such low prices and excellent service, that's understandable. This place has the good, old fashioned customer service that will keep them in business for a long time. Highly recommended! read more

Do not buy appliances here! Especially from the Paradise store from a younger guy named Mike. The first refrigerator that I bought from them didn't even work right, so when I called for an exchange. Mike was very defensive and rude and even went as far as saying they wouldn't do an exchange unless the motor was bad. It wasn't even a week from the purchase date. When he finally did agree to exchange the fridge after I had to argue my point he said that we had to do all the work ourselves and bring it to the store for the transaction, but we were told that we couldn't do it on Sat because he had to be there. When I asked if we could go to one of the other stores to make this happen on Saturday he said probably not. Well, we were finally able to go to the Chico location on Nord to do the exchange and met Shelley. She was a breath of fresh air since she seemed genuine and was really friendly. We upgraded to a nicer fridge, but a week later the temp skyrocketed to 61 degrees. They had someone come and look at it and get a part to fix it. We were living out of coolers for a week and half our food was spoiled. :( After we were told the fridge was fixed, not even 3 days passed, and it was back to the same problem and more food getting spoiled. (Also, Mike called to make sure someone would be there the morning that the repairman was coming up even when I had left a message to confirm that someone would be there. He said that he didn't want to waste gas $) Yes, he's rude! The receipt said no refunds in bold red letters, but I was so furious that these 2 fridges cost us so much money and hassle. We could have gotten a brand new one for the price that we paid. Debbie answered the phone and was actually very understanding of the issue. She said that Mike should never had sold the first fridge to us and mentioned that it was "sheer stupidity" on his part to do so. She said the other one must be a lemon. And miraculously we got our money back. In my opinion all their fridges are lemons! And whatever you do, don't do business with a guy named Mike. He'll swindle you and tell you which appliance he thinks is so great just to make a buck and get rid of the one he knows is no good. read more

We brought a side by side refrigerator and when in a month it stop working. Called and they came out that day and fixed it. Then least than a two weeks one side of it stopped working. They couldn't come out that day, but came out the next morning. Was unable to find out why it wasn't working. So they next day I went and got another refrigerator, It was less money than the one I had brought but it was to work. WELL, IT DOESN'T. As soon as I used the water feature in the refrigerate, It sprayed the whole inside with water, (had a leak in the line). So instead of calling them back I fixed it. 24hrs later still not getting cold . Had to throw all our food out for the second time. They are nice at the repair place, but the guy who works at the store is rude and unhelpful. I just wont my money back, which they don't give you back. I really think they should check their repairs more carefully and recheck them when they make the delivery. read more
