I…read morewould be inclined to just let this go as a lesson learned, but I've been recommending Clint to anyone who asked and previously left a 5-star review and that information needs to be corrected. I bought a used wine refrigerator from an estate sale (another lesson learned) that wasn't working right, so I called Clint. He had worked on a refrigerator-freezer a couple of years ago and got things working again quickly, although the first time he was here he was several hours late and said he'd been up all night working on his van. Huh, well he did finally get here and did a good job. This time I texted him pictures of the refrigerator and the identifying markings so he'd know what he was dealing with. On March 11, he was going to be here sometime between 10 am and 1 pm It got to be almost 1 and I hadn't seen or heard anything so sent a text asking for an ETA. Nothing. At 2:15 sent another text...nothing. At 4:28 got a text saying he'd be here in about 20 minutes. When he finally got here he was very apologetic and told me he'd put my appointment down for the wrong day and hadn't gotten my texts because he'd been out of cell phone contact. Spent a lot of time telling me how much his wife's death had impacted him and he wasn't thinking clearly. Turns out she had passed last year and he is struggling. He looked at the refrigerator and told me he didn't know what to do he would have to research it. Meantime, I needed to give him a check for $186.75 to cover his time, this trip and any future trips. I did that because he had done the same thing last time and it worked out. So off he went to "research" what to do. About 3 days later, I texted asking him where he was with the research and ordering and asking if he could get the parts ordered that weekend. I believe that was when he called me and said his brother had been sick and he'd been dealing with that. March 14 and March 15 I sent texts asking if he could get to that that project soon. No response to either. The call with the story about his brother being sick was the last time I heard from him. On March 18, I sent a text telling him that in the absence of a response from him, I made other arrangements to take care of the refrigerator. No response. On April 1, I sent him a text with an outline of events and communications and asked for a refund of $100. since I thought the $86.75 remainder should cover his one-time trip fee and no services rendered. (Check cashed within 24 hours of being here). No response to that either. So, I spent $186.75, and many hours waiting for Clint to arrive/waiting for Clint to respond to texts and in return got aggravation, no repairs done and my own time wasted.

This time he did show up, he said my heating element was bad but it would cost $350 to replace. I told him no thanks I can get a brand new one on black friday for $400 to $500. He told me the way they make dryers now it wont last long and it's going to break so it would be better if I just got the heating element replaced. I still said no, was charged $108 for the "service". And then it gets worse. I was using the dryer previously, even after the element went bad. Just air and tumble dry, no problem. After he "put it back together" it was extremely loud, and you could hear the drum was rubbing very hard on something. I called them to have him come back and fix the dryer that he made worse, made a appointment 10 am to 2 PM. And he never showed up again. I called later and the guy on the phone said he should have been there and had no idea why he didn't show again. I made another appointment 10 am to 12pm with a call 30 minutes before he comes. He calls at 12:21 to be there at 12:51. So I decided I will just fix this issue myself. I work night shift, I wake up at 1:30 pm to start at 3 pm so I kept waking up 3 and a half hours earlier then normal for no one to ever show and no reason why they didn't, twice, and to have it work even worse, and still to be charged $108. If you need a repair person please look up other options, they are very unreliable and I would never trust their work with how they left my machine. It turns out he just set the dryer element case back into drying and never screwed it on so the metal and wires were resting on the drum while it spun, sounds pretty dangerous and perhaps a fire hazard to me. The picture is showing how he left the element in the dryer. Also heating elements online are about $20 with a easy YouTube tutorial. Also if the company reads this, please have employees that go to the houses, shower before work.

We told them we were going to look at new units and they said they could lower the price to $3,900. We cleared an ice build-up behind a crisper drawer, reset the error code and the unit has been running fine ever since. We had the repair company we usually use look at the machine. They attached gauges, took the back panel off the unit and said the compressors seem to be working fine. They also said the price quoted for the unneccesary repair was way too high. A tech was scheduled for the next day (Saturday). He arrived just as scheduled and removed the oven from the wall to diagnose the issue. It took him about an hour to determine that we needed a new high limit thermostat. I accepted his repair quote to order and install the part and paid $85 for the service call. About four days later he was able to return and install the new thermostat. It took him about an hour and he deducted the $85 service call from final bill. We were very happy with the experience and would use them again in the future for other appliances.
