The delivery team was courteous and professional, and one of them even had the good sense to call their manager when the pipe began leaking during removal of my old washer. The pipe broke due to age, which I understand -- but it was their team that broke it during the service. The real disappointment came when the manager first said they'd send help, then called back ten minutes later to say it was my responsibility because the pipe was old. I wasn't asking for a full plumbing repair -- just basic accountability to stop an active leak their team caused. Instead, I was left with an uninstalled washer and water leaking onto my floor. Be VERY careful! Here's what happened to me. TL;DR--we purchased a new Miele washer and dryer, the washer wasn't new, two months later still doesn't work, and we were told "We don't check what's inside the box, it's a Miele issue". Knowing what I know now, I'd order directly from Miele, it's the same price, and I wouldn't have gotten a washer with no manuals, hair in the door gasket, and no protective film on the door to prevent scratches. The sales experience was fine. They were helpful and friendly. In the past 4 months, there have been 3 different managers though. The last guy wasn't helpful. I get it wasn't his sale, but...I didn't go out to the truck when it was delivered to see what condition it was in before it came into my house. I should've. In fact, the latest store manager said that he encourages people to do that. You'd better--because Appliance Factory will give you the runaround and "can't do anything for you". I noted upon delivery that the dryer protective film was broken, and the dryer door was scratched. I also noted that the washer had a scratch on it (but no film, and no manuals). But the guys did a test run with water, and left. I did make notes that weren't saved anywhere on their app about the condition, so take pics of everything!! I didn't notice until after they left that there was hair in the door gasket. ***This machine was sold to me as new. Does that sound new?? Something fishy here! The manager says he spent weeks looking into an audit trail, but didn't share that paperwork with me. The dryer door and washer door were replaced by Miele--that took a month to get parts. But we told the repair guy that we kept getting error messages from the machine, and he found out that the flow sensor doesn't work and that's why the machine isn't working right. We're still waiting on that, for appliances that were delivered September 4th. Appliance Factory manager says it's on the manufacturer, they don't check what's inside the box before they deliver it. Miele says we'll make it work, but you didn't buy it from us, so too bad. All this time spent making calls, trying to figure out what's wrong with the machine, repairperson visits--nothing. Lesson learned. Appliance Factory is a middle man that doesn't stand behind anything, and I guess I really gotta be that consumer that checks everything before it comes into my house to make sure I get what I paid for. I have bought many appliances from them in the past without an issue as the appliances worked properly. My recent purchase of a Bosch dishwasher was the worst after purchase experience I have had with any company. They delivered the dishwasher which I plugged in and connected two hoses. It did not work. After calling them, I was told they do not accept returns and that my signing that I received the dishwasher left them free of any liability. I am not able to return the faulty dishwasher they sold me nor will they send someone to service the broken machine without charging me "cost" which they cannot define an actual dollar amount. I was told that having not purchased the $250 extended service plan (mind you the dishwasher was $500) that they will do nothing and I need to work it out with the manufacturer. I had bought products from them because I perceived them to be a smaller business and I like to support those types of companies. I will never buy from them again. read more

Purchased Electrolux washer and dryer from Appliance Factory in Boulder, the installers made an excuse to not place the pedestals, saying the cabinets were too low. The cabinet wasn't the issue and when I went in with a measuring tape they said they would come back and install the pedestals later at no charge, because they had to get to the next call. They later wanted to charge more money for installation and one of the employees cussed at me and put me on permanent hold when I called to get it resolved. I bought a Jen Air Dual Range from the Boulder store that took 9 months to deliver after I was told it would be to us in July, but reality was December. I understand the Supply & Demand our country was going through at the time, but I had to do a follow up several times to get a date. I was promise before Thanksgiving, then it will be the next week, I followed up after the holiday and I find out that it was in their warehouse for a week. The installers were told to bring PG adapters that they installed. It turnes out they were already put on before it left the warehouse. I made several calls for the service team to come replace them because the flame was so yellow and extremely high made it almost impossible to use. After no response from my multiple calls & emails, I waited 3 weeks so I had to reach out to Columbine Appliance who came and fixed the problem with Brian doing a fantastic job, BUT to the tune of $370.64 for the service call. I was glad to pay that so I would NEVER have to deal with Mattress Factory ever again. read more

Bought a 4yr. extended warranty for a brand new Front Load Electrolux Washer/Dryer in 2019. A few weeks ago the front door gasket on the door ripped rendering the washer unusable. Upon chasing down the warranty information Appliance Factory could not locate even my purchase information to verify proof of purchase. They indicated that this information was no longer in their system due to some type of purging on a yearly basis (Hello is IRS Reading this) is not available due to their system updated on a yearly basis and they had no record of my purchase. Had to scour my credit card statements and was finally able to located date and amount. Subcontracted company who does warranty work now says that the Washer Door Seal is cosmetic and not covered under warranty. Well I hate to tell you you can not use a front end loader when the door seal is ripped and it leaks water and floods your basement so the definition of "Cosmetic" is 100% inaccurate in this case. Cosmetic means unit is still usable but maybe dials don't light up or front panel indicators are unreadable but unit still usable as intended. Bottom Line do not waste your hard earned $$$$$ on an extended warranty......all that means is the manufacturer is telling you is their product is not very good!!! Waste of money and only an income stream for Appliance Factory. read more

I ordered a dishwasher a month ago. I got the confirmation email that said they would be in touch within a day or two. After two days of no contact, I called. They said I was on the list. No contact. I called again a day later - same response. It is a month later, no call, no email. I just spoke with someone who said it would be another month to get a dishwasher. Little over a year ago we bought stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer plus an over the stove microwave. The microwave already failed. We called the store to check on warranties and were told nope not eligible. He also told us that if you open the microwave while it's still running it shortens the life by 50%. I guess that means a microwave only has a 2 year life span. Although the one we got from Home Depot that was 1/8 the price has already lasted twice as long. Update: Andrew helped is find a kitchen-depth frig without the ice and water dispenser on the front; no small feat. We scheduled an install date. What an incompetent, dishonest company. They posted a sale price online and initially refused to honor it because their marketing department posted the wrong price. However, they didn't cancel the order and instead of honoring what was supposed to be the correct sale price, they charged us full price for the fridge we purchased. We refused to accept delivery until the issue got sorted out because we had a receipt reflecting the sale price from their website. They ultimately promised to honor the price and scheduled a new delivery date. When the new delivery date passed and we hadn't heard anything, we called for an update. After giving us the runaround for four days, they claimed they "lost" the fridge so they didn't have to honor the sale price. If we hadn't called and called they would have just kept our money and never told us we weren't getting a fridge. read more

We bought an open box, high end kitchen aid dishwasher less than 6 months ago and it did not work, we had to call Kitchen Aid now twice and it's irreparable, Appliance Factory refuse to help us (three times now), stating that we did not pay an additional $180 for an extended warranty, it was like extortion. So, we are now faced with a $1500 dishwasher that we will have to dispose of and will be filing a credit card dispute. Their staff assumed no responsibility for helping us whatsoever, intends to keep all monies collected, we were suggested by Kitchen Aid to choose a more "reputable dealer." In late fall 2017, we rented a house in Wash Park. The dishwasher broke down immediately and the microwave quit working two weeks later. Our landlord selected two top-of-the-line GE products from Contract Appliance. Both times, it was Justin and his crew who removed the old appliance and installed the new. Justin confirmed each appointment a few days before and when while in transit, just as I had asked. This house was built in the 1920's and the wiring was not simple, but Justin handled that. In the past, I've lived without these standard kitchen appliances, or with ones that worked poorly; and so I really appreciate the models that our landlord selected. The guys were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. It's great to know that they are only a phone call away. read more

Awful customer service. I had a new refrigerator delivered two weeks ago. The delivery people left all the shrink wrap on the fridge and said I should remove it myself. After they left, I realized they had jammed the fridge so close against the wall that there was no way to completely pull off the plastic wrapping. Even worse, the wrap is stuck underneath the bolted-on door handle and hinges. And the tightness of the fridge against the wall means the doors frequently do not close. I went Thursday to ask about this and the sales rep and store manager were not too interested, saying it is "too time-consuming" for the delivery people to remove the wrap. The manager said he would arrange for somebody to come out and change the hinges and handles so the door opens from the opposite side. The hinge is so tight against the wall there is no way to get in and do this myself. Two more days have passed without any communication from this store or staff. I also realized after I pulled the plastic wrap off the top of the fridge that the stainless steel had been nicked in a couple of places below the plastic. Go to Best Buy or Sears...these guys don't make it worth saving a hundred bucks on the appliances. Sears and Best Buy both make sure you are 100% satisfied. read more

We bought a "scratch and dent" propane range/ oven and an exhaust fan above the stove. There were some scratches and dents, but the condition was acceptable..and we got a very substantial discount in the price. On balance it was a very good deal. We had it delivered and were supposed to get it installed then, but there was a mix up because they didn't send the right person who could install the propane conversion kit. My sales person was great. He did not want me to wait any longer than necessary, so he authorized a private contractor to come on-site and do the work (which saved a few days from when the Factory Appliance installer could come). I had to pay the contractor, but I got reimbursed. All in all a good experience. I would highly recommend buying from Appliance Factory, based on the good selection, price, and value. They came through when they made a mistake on the installation. And the salesperson was very good to work with. So give them a try! read more

Here's an update: I opened a BBB case months ago. They keep telling BBB that they resolved the case with the details, "we are working with the finance company to come to an amicable solution." Each time they do this they are hoping I will not update the case as not resolved and go away. Here was my response this morning. Let's see if they actually work to resolve it in the next 10 days (amount of time they have to respond to my reply). (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Their solution is that they are working with the finance company on a solution? The finance company told me months ago all they had to do was edit the paperwork they submitted to properly reflect the 0 interest and they would reverse the interest charges. That was close to a year ago. I do not accept "we are working with the finance company to come to an amicable solution" as a solution. I accept "we have completed the necessary paperwork and submitted to the finance company for resolution." I also want documentation of the paperwork and confirmation from the finance company. This company has insulted me on Yelp, asked me to remove reviews, and ensured me they'd resolve the issue for many months now. They were insulted I issued a yelp review with details of my troubles, and insulted I opened a BBB case. I'm insulted they think "working on it" after months and months is a solution. All they need to do is pick up the phone and call the finance company and submit the paperwork. Have they attempted to do that? I don't believe they care for their customers and I will not accept this solution. read more

I paid for a brand new GE chest freezer 1 mo ago. The deliveryman turned it on, said it would be cold in a few hrs.. I checked it the next day - warm and $350 meat/fish ruined. I called the store - spoke w Justin ( later Curtis). They refused to refund my money and pick up the freezer. Said they,d get back to me. They never did. I called - they said they'd send a repair man out - waited all day and he never showed up. I wrote to the Company,s Presidents line - immed. Got a call back from Curtis. He said they " had permission" to refund my money, and set a date to pick up the freezer. I waited all day - they never showed up. 2 days later the repairman came - replaced a faulty thermostat and turned freezer on. Freezer 100% dead. I called the repairman, and he came out today. Says the compressor is completely dead. So, they have had my $750 for a month, I'm out $350 for ruined meat, I have a ( alleged) brand new freezer in my garage that has never once worked. I put in a report to the Better Business Bureau. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks! I'll leave it it to all of you to decide whether you want to risk paying this business for anything. read more

They should get no stars. Absolutely horrible experience. I bought all 4 appliances from them and ended up with a very expensive Range that was badly damaged when they installed it and they did nothing about it despite I called at least a dozen times about it. They didn't deliver 2 of the appliances until a week later so went with no fridge or oven and had to eat out for a week. I went through 3 different refrigerators, the first didn't work and I threw out 300$ worth of food (was not compensated for this), the second was terribly damaged, and last one did not fit. They refused to get me a new fridge that woulr fit correctly without a 25% restocking fee and never replaced the damaged range. read more

Watch it with these guys. I asked when looking at units if they delivered and installed dishwashers. The salesman said "yes". After I paid over $1,000 for a new dishwasher I was told that I would need to pay the installer $120 at time of delivery because they were a subcontractor. When I balked at this late information that was a 10% price increase, they agreed to split it with me. Then when the installer arrived, he removed the old dishwasher, breaking it in the way so it could not be reinstalled then mentioned that the install was not $120 but $149 and there was a separate parts cost of $45 and because the unit was a "panel ready" unit there was an additional $50 charge. I immediately called the store manager and complained. He made it right by asking the installer to charge all but the original $60 I agreed to to the store which was a great outcome but had I not balked I would have been out $244 or 20% additional cost to the unit. So, watch it and make sure you get full disclosure on install costs before you buy. By the way, the installer was like a bull in a china shop, tossing tools and parts on my hard wood floors. He provided no instructions what so ever on how to operating the unit. He cut some corners on the kick plate so it doesn't quite fit and the door of the unit is so tight I have to jerk it to get it opened. In my opinion, a good installer would take the time to do the job right and make sure everything works. I guess I should have been more assertive to test before he left. Watch it. read more

Biggest problem - THEY DO NOT SERVICE THE APPLIANCES THEY SELL. You are dumped on Brand Source, and they pick and choose what they will work on. My Sharp microwave died when it was two months out of the Sharp warranty and they refused to even look at it. The only reason I don't give them a 1 Star review was that the store manager in Boulder, Russ, tried very hard to help me. Unfortunately no one in his company seemed to want to help him. So Russ is a "5" and the company is a "1". I also called the "President's Hotline" to report the problem and no one bothered to ever call me back. The appliance finally got fixed only because I realized that I had bought the extended warranty (the invoice was very long as I had bought several thousand dollars of appliances & parts that day). So Appliance Factory dumped the problem on the insurance company. The whole process took over three weeks and many hours of my time. read more

Michele Evans of their commercial products group worked very closely with me to solve the mystery of an undelivered range hood; she found the problem and fixed it. Once the hood arrived and was installed, it was discovered the model was not in Boulder code (too powerful), Tried to find a way to adjust the speed, but the manufacturer was unable to do so. Michele worked with her management to get a replacement that complied with code and was successfully installed, Best part -- she was available and kept the problem resolution process going until it was fixed.
