Anytime the grill went over 350, if there was any grease it would light on fire, which made it pretty useless as a grill. I worked with the manufacturer for months on this issue and they ended up being mostly unhelpful. I had resigned myself to the fact that I had an expensive piece of equipment that was defective and only going to perform 50% of the function it was intended for. It never occurred to me that Ace would be willing to replace the grill for me after 6 months. Fortunately it did occur to my wife and she asked them the last time we were in. The wonderful person working the grill section, June, said she didn't know for sure, but she took my information down and said she'd have someone call me back. I pretty much put it out of mind and didn't expect a callback but the next day Veronda, the department manager, called me and apologized for the experience and said they would be happy to replace the grill! I just had to bring in the old one. STILL not wanting to get my hopes up I loaded the grill into my truck the next day and took it to Ace. David helped me pick out my new grill, process the return, pay the difference, and to top it all off...setup the FREE build and Delivery for my new grill. He and a few of the great team over at Ace helped me get the old grill off my truck, I drove away, and I had a beautiful, AND WORKING, grill sitting on my deck in two days. This level of customer service has exceeded all my expectations and has restored my faith in hardware stores. Corny but absolutely true. Thank you Ace!! I am going to eat my amazing smoked burgers now.

I headed straight for the tool section, where Jude helped me track down the exact drill bits I needed. Both Jude and Nathan were excellent--helpful, patient, and friendly. The product selection is solid, but what really stood out is the level of customer service. It's rare these days to find retail staff who go above and beyond, and these two certainly did (even humoring me as I reminisced about my own time working in retail). As a funny side note, I even got the chance to chase after a customer and his dog after he accidentally left a dog bone behind at the counter. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to return it--maybe he'll return for his purchase! All in all, great selection, great service, and a team that makes shopping here a genuinely positive experience.

I saw something on their outdoor display area when I was leaving Lucky's and went in to check it out. It was what I had thought about to solve a yard problem, it was on sale and worked out well. The owner was there, he's had the store for about 10 years he said and I thought it was greatly improved since it's days in the 80s and 90s as Rad Hardware.

So as an act of good will I sent another house over to bid with MY OWN material take off and Joe sent a passive aggressive email to all my subs, and supplier's etc and in the email thread saying he wouldn't supply for THIS CONTRACTOR. All of this unnecessary passive aggressive behavior over a small disagreement started OVER A FORKLIFT. They claim thier customer service makes up for thier higher prices. But that is not so. My experience with Builders first source BMC UFP They have far superior customer service and material take offs that are always within 10%.. I just walked out of builders first source with everything I need and was treated fairly and with respect, as the way I am accustomed. Side note the owner of County line seemed reasonable and fair. Chris took a significant amount of time to help me acquire an item (gift) from the top shelf of an isle and then some materials needed for a repair. The items took us all over the store and about 30 min total but he was patient and helpful the entire time. I also had a really good customer service experience where I left something at the self checkout, called, and it was waiting for me the next time I came in. If this trend keeps up I will be updating this to a 4 or 5 in no time!

The first "surprise" was that the installers cannot connect the water line to the ice maker. We were told we needed a plumber to do this - nobody ever said this at time of purchase, nor have we ever had this experience with previous purchases. This refrigerator was literally dumped in our kitchen with the only service being the unwrapping of the unit - which unveiled a large ding and scratch on the top. The installers called their contact and we were given a substantial discount, however, this in NO WAY makes up for the inconvenience and horrific experience of this purchase and delivery. We were inundated with trying to level, connect, set temperatures and attach parts that we know nothing about with technical instructions that are confusing and difficult to understand. This entire experience is horrific and I cannot even begin to express my dissatisfaction with the purchase and subsequent "service."
