I was having so much trouble and I tried to adjust it myself but it still wasn't sewing correctly so I was convinced it needed a tune-up. My husband got me my Brothers sewing machine about 22 years ago and it has been a good machine and I have used it so much over the years. So my husband took my machine into Paramount who said it would cost about 99.00 and so about a day later we get a call that it was ready!! I was so excited to get my sewing machine back because I had a new project ready for it. When we went to pick it up they said we owed $2.99 I thought maybe it was to far gone but no that wasn't it.....that was the cost of the metal bobbins that I needed to use instead of the plastic bobbins that I had been using. OMG!!! It is so nice to do business with honest and trustworthy people. I was blown away, they could have rightly charged me because after all they looked at my machine and made adjustments. That was such a nice and refreshing surprise!!! Thank you Paramount!!! PS - I just finished sewing a dress for my granddaughter and it turned out beautiful and my machine ran like new!! #saynotoplasticbobbin

The other woman working there wasn't friendly either. Even when I brought up my fabric to be cut, I got a chilly reception from the first lady by the front door.

Shortly after moving to Salem my mom decided to purchase a small couch with a short window of time…read morebefore family was coming to visit. We stopped at all of the furniture stores in the area including Woodry's, but the other stores had a delivery time that was 6-8 weeks out. Also, they were like vultures and their furniture was overpriced. About a week or so after she bought her couch, my husband and I also decided to purchase a new couch and we also went to Woodry's. They let us bring a fabric sample home, and by the time we walked in the door at home we had already decided to return to the store the next day to purchase the sectional couch. I called the store and asked about delivery windows since my own time window before family was coming to visit was getting smaller. By the time we returned to the store the next day to make the purchase, they had already spoke with both of their delivery companies on time windows for us. We decided that they were the best option based on a few things: 1. The staff was friendly and not pushy. They didn't act like used car salesmen, they let us look around casually. 2. You can buy the furniture that they currently have in stock or order it if you have the time to wait, which we didn't. 3. The furniture is built in Oregon and has a policy that if the cushions start to soften that they'll re-stuff them for you. Both my mom and I had great experiences with Woodry's and the companies they use for delivery. We both received our furniture within five days of paying. We are both very happy with our purchases and feel confident that we made the right decision. We both recommended Woodry's.

Literally the worst experience of our LIVES going to Kay Jeweler's, not just for a jewelry store…read morebut of any store/experience. Found the ring I wanted, sent it in to be resized. They estimated only a few weeks. After that had passed, I went in to pick my ring up and they said it was lost in the mail. We had to contact USPS, and it sounds like the package had been lost or replaced. They proceeded to wait another month before deciding to order a new ring for us, and continued to quote us that it would be next week - and every time we went in they said "we aren't sure where it is, it'll be in next week." Several weeks pass like that, and finally they GUARANTEED it would be ready today. After over 2.5 months of waiting, I go in to get the ring and they had done a piss poor job soldering my three rings together. They had given me a $100 gift card to Kay Jeweler's for my 'bad experience' and when I said I couldn't take that ring as it was, AARON said "I will be taking our gift card back, then." I left because I was so angry, my fiancé is going in now to get our money back and we are taking our $$$$ elsewhere. A 0 star rating is deserved, but I can't give less than a 1.
