The fabric selection was amazing. They had such a great selection of pre-assembled kits. The customer service was outstanding! Mary was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Her husband who does the long arm quilting was also great! I had planned to visit several shops during my trip but didn't. I got everything I wanted (and more.). There is now a sign out front with a painted quilt block dedicated to the two of them, BJ and Jessica. The shop itself no longer exists.

Now I was driving, so really, Husband had noacquaint me with the store and w choice in the matter, but even if I hadn't been, I've trained my car to automatically stop at quilt stores. And bookstores. And yarn stores. So it's win-win all around, yeah? Purple Frog. First of all, I love the name. It's so whimsical. And there are purple frog decorations inside, too. I was greeted (Husband decided to stay in the car and nap or something) by two extremely friendly ladies, who took time from what they were doing to show me where things were located. Including the restroom. Which, by the way, was extremely clean. Unfortunately I didn't have as much time to browse as I'd wanted, because who should come through the door but Husband! Dang. I'm sure he came in to prevent too much financial damage. I doubt he was interested in the fabric, though he did pretend to kind of look around. Hah. He thought he looked so innocent, but I know better. The classroom is huge, and there's a long-arm quilting machine in there too. There's lots of room to spread out, and taking a class here would be a real pleasure. I really wish I'd had more time to look around. I wanted to see all of the batiks and just see all the wonderful other fabrics. But yeah, okay, it was a business trip and I did need to be considerate. I did end up buying some wonderful fabric for a Christmas project, though. The ladies were really wonderful helping me figure out how much fabric I needed for that, and I left feeling extremely glad that we'd stopped by. Final score: Lighting and appeal in general: 5 stars Customer service: Ditto Cleanliness of the shop and the bathroom: Ditto again. Fabric choices: Ditto yet again. Attractiveness and layout: Another 5 stars. I've been in a number of quilt stores, and The Purple Frog is at the top of my list. It's easy to find and is a great pleasure to shop in. Thank you ladies (I'm sorry I didn't get your names) for a truly enjoyable shopping experience. It's worth the drive down!

But if you think about it, would you EVER want to start cleaning your home half way then try and remember what you did versus what you did not do? Right, we don't work like that [no woman ever does when it comes to cleaning our own homes]. So Jackie came to the house to assess the first initial deep clean, discuss my needs, my concerns, answer my questions. And I had to get a feel for what she was, how she was, who she was, and what kind of deal was taking place. I'm a weirdo, I fully admit this. I don't like strangers in my home, I don't like socializing in public. THIS IS MY SANCTUARY. And truth be told I'm a stage 5 klinger. Once you have me as a client I may or may not be quite something to deal with. I know high maintenance when I see it [and I'm it..no shame in my game]. When I found this service on Yelp, they were one of two narrowed down, and quite frankly I just liked what they had to say, so they got the bid, pure and simple. AND when I asked her about her staff [because I was worried about turnover in todays economy and the service industry] she was a little taken aback. BUT she defended her staff and TRULY likes her staff, and her retention rate was great, she mentioned. Okay, I will take her on her word. In comes the first deep clean..here we go. She warned me it was a FULL day.. and it was. When I tell you there were no less than 10 people in this house top and bottom floors, I'm not joking. I watched them like bees in a hive. I've owned rental properties throughout the Midwest, I've retained MANY move in, move out and continual cleaning services. But I have never seen what they did. None of them spoke a word. Yet in tandem, did things I never even thought to do. There was no weird odor, no smell, no chit chat, no laughing no talking no nonsense. This group was HERE TO DO A JOB. I sat here, in my chair, in AWE and watched as [what I call kids..all in their 20's and 30's] worked like a successful unit. Here is the truth-I was exhausted. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Watching my home being transformed into something immaculate, my sanctuary becoming spotless. One by one cleaning and picking up as they went, by the end of an 8 hour day they were gone and I had not recognized my home by clock out time. What they did, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DO. No sitting on their phones, no loud music, no TEXTING, NO TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER WASTING TIME.. I was so appreciative you have no idea. I watched them ALL like hawks, but there was ZERO to watch for. It has been months now, and today was my cleaning day. You will not know they are there. You will not know they are gone. I am still in awe, I am STILL as grateful as ever and they will have a lifelong client as long as they are in business. This is a 100% factual based review. I have no skin in this game, I do not know them, but I will tell you this. THEY ARE A PHENOMENAL BUSINESS MODEL. And you would be foolish not to try to secure their services.

Not only did they fix my issue, but they also cleaned out my camera and so now my pictures can take clear photos of my ugly mug that I will be able to use AI to Photoshop now that I have my phone back! Been coming here so many times over the years to get rid of some of my extra yard clippings / branches or even some recycling items for some extra cash in my pocket. They seem by far the most reasonable and low cost on dumping my loads and give out some real good cash for my recyclables like paper or cardboard. I'm going to say this is one of the best and most oriented type recycling places in town which is by far easy to say because they will work with you to help with your heavier items if in need. The employees seem very friendly and always eager to help you which is a plus overall in the customer service area. I would say, You can't go wrong coming here and this facility deserve 5-stars overall because of their duty of keeping the streets clean and help keep back yards looking like better. P.S. Need to give that Hot Rod a break and pay him a little more $$$ for his good work towards your business!!! Share a little, give a little more. :)

Granted, you're going to spend a little more than that crappy Bissel, Hoover, or the carpet-eating Sharks. But you will be so happy you saved yourself the aggravation. And your carpet will thank you too. We opted for a Simplicity cordless, which is the sister company of Riccar, one of the brands they highlight. Cordless was something we'd never really considered, but it is sooooo much easier vacuuming without constantly fighting the cord. Inside the store, it's clean, really clean, but then again, it is a vacuum store! The staff were knowledgeable, courteous, and relaxed--not the least bit pushy, which we really appreciated. And they gave us a great deal on a floor model. Also, for those of you who appreciate a really good sewing machine, Rich's has some real beauties. I don't sew, but I could tell the machines they carry are high-end, quality stuff. So, if you need a good vacuum or a nice sewing machine, this is the place to go.
