    Chocolate covered pretzels

Great shop for your chocolate needs. If you buy fruit, even covered in chocolate and candy, it's still healthy. You couldn't ask for a more friendly owner to help pick out your selections. All the while, the shop smells of the best chocolate aroma. Can't wait to go back.

While home for Easter I had to go to "Appleicious" in Carnegie. The owner is a wonderful gentleman, hilarious and so helpful. Living in the deep south now, I was craving his apples and pretzels. The assortment he carries and sweetly decorates seasinally. The quaint store has been in the same location for over 12 yrs. And I love that he does custom orders and ships all over. I can't wait for my friends to taste his apples when I get back home in the deep south! Look at how yummy and beautifully decorated these are too! You are missing out if you don't stop and see them...

Nestled in the town of Carnegie sits this cute Apple shop - who would have known! The Store owner was ... amazing! We walked in to a big HoHoHo-- which immediately put a smile on all our faces! thank you for being in the holiday spirit! Little things like that make ya wants come back! The owner took the time to explain how his apples are made and the differences in the siZes. We even got the hIstory in how he got started ...even my niece walked out saying just how nice the owner was - and she is a teenager :). This is my new go to Apple place ... only got a few on this first visit but plan to go back before Christmas to snag a few more for Xmas gifts.

    Halloween Oreos and Krispie treats!!

What a GEM this shop is! The caramel and chocolate apples are huge, gorgeous, and decadent in all the best ways. They are chocolate-dipping the cutest little seasonal treats you've ever seen (Oreos, pretzels, Krispie treats) and the incredibly friendly owner, Paul, was happy to bring them out to my car. We will definitely be back, and I can't think of a holiday where their candies and apples wouldn't be THE best gift to send!

Applelicious is a charming store located in West Carnegie. Although the check in site states "dine in for 7% off" there is no actual dining area. Rather you would get 7% off any card you have linked to your Yelp account. They have online ordering where you can ship or pick up in store. While their specialty is candy or nut crusted gourmet apples with some caramel and covered in milk chocolate they also have an assortment of store brand candy covered in the same way. Among those goodies you would find rice krispie treats, grahams, chocolate covered Oreos, and Reese candy to name a few. You can also get buckeyes and cashew turtles. The mini apple which I purchased is milk chocolate covered with white drizzle and is suitable for 2 people. You can purchase larger sizes if you wish to serve more. I met Paul the owner and he explained to me to refrigerate the apples if I don't intend to use it right since they will keep longer. He also explained it is best to use one of those apple slice cutters to avoid the core when cutting. He is extremely knowledgeable about his work and it shows throughout the store. He showed me a box of 16 chocolate covered strawberries in a beautiful arrangement. Unfortunately, I had to pass on those because he does not recommend refrigeration or freezing. I did however purchase two large ones for Valentine's day. The chocolate is so fresh it literally breaks off as you bite it! So good! I'm saving the apple for later but I know my hubby and I will enjoy it. The store also specializes in chocolate covered pretzel rods. Again you can have it covered in M and Ms candy, pecans, cashew, or even peanut butter. You can get either mini or full size. In addition to all this Applelicious does catering for special occasions as well as fund raising. Check out their website for more information. Prices are very reasonable. Cash and cards are accepted. Located away from the main shopping area of Carnegie metered street parking is available.

Small specialty apples - Reece's Pieces, drizzle, and M&M's

When you first walk in it's very colorful and decorated. The people there are very kind and tell you about their products all of their apple/treats are amazing. The person that owns the place is named Paul and he is one of the nicest people in the world. My dad brought these apples home for us once before and they are so good. Worth a drive across town to pick one up. Overall this is one of the greatest places to buy caramel apples and other treats.

Buckeyes. I ate one before I took the photo

My wife just returned from a trip to Pittsburgh, while she was there she found this amazing place. She brought back three items. An order of Buckeyes, made to resemble the nut. Lite whipped peanut butter covered with chocolate. There were 6, but I ate one before I got the photo. A pretzel rod, the entire piece is about 6 or 7 inches long and four inches at its widest. Pretzel rod covered in chocolate, caramel, Reece's Pieces, and peanuts, then drizzled with actual peanut butter magic! The last item was an apple, a Reece's Pieces Apple! Same process as the Pretzel Rod but on top of a huge, delicious apple. I found a video of their web site that showed the best way to cut the apple and it was very helpful. I also saw that these guys do mail order, I see that happening in the future. Everything she brought back was amazing! Very fresh ingredients and ohhhhh so good!

Oh my gosh! Just got these delivered to our home and couldn't wait until after I had dinner! So good I'm not even sure I'll share with my loving family. Best deliciously coated apple anywhere!

    Applelicious Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers
    Nicole W.

Applelicious is so delicious! First off, the store owner was so nice and helpful when picking out products. I purchased a gourmet roasted cashew apple, chocolate covered pretzel, chocolate covered Rice Krispie treats, chocolate covered graham crackers, and a few other items. Everything was so good! My family loved the apple and the other treats, too. I highly recommend stopping into the store and I will definitely be back to support this business. Loved it!!

An employee was busy serving another customer but soon after served me. She made friendly conversation. Here are my reviews for what I bought: S'more - 5 stars - I liked the chocolate, marshmallows, and graham cracker of this s'more. Raspberry chocolates - 5 stars - I liked the strong flavor of raspberries in the center of the milk chocolate. Strawberry chocolates - 4 stars - I liked the milk chocolate but thought that the strawberry could taste differently. Chocolate-covered cherries - 5 stars - These cherries and milk chocolate met my expectations and tasted very good. Gummy flower bouquet - 4.5 stars - This flower bouquet was constructed from many pieces of gummies, and I thought that it looked so pretty. The gummies were slightly hard and chewy but tasted good. Mountain Magic - 5 stars - Chunks contained marshmallows, rice, and peanut butter. I definitely taste the peanut butter and really enjoyed it. Peppermint-chocolate marshmallow - 4 stars - A large marshmallow was covered in milk chocolate and covered in peppermint pieces. One without peppermint would have fit my personal preferences better. Hot-cocoa spoon - 4.5 stars - A plastic spoon contained chocolate, marshmallows, and sparkles. I put it in hot milk to melt it. The hot chocolate tasted good. Sugarfina Sparkling Rose Bears - 5 stars - Gummy bears had a slight flavor of rose wine. Chocolate-covered pretzels - 5 stars - Chocolate-covered pretzels are one of my favorites. One pretzel was covered in milk chocolate, and the other pretzel was covered in white chocolate. Buckeyes - 3.5 stars - These buckeyes had tasty milk chocolate but needed a stronger flavor of peanut butter. The employee could not give me either a printed or emailed receipt. My husband paid and said that the total cost was ~$60.

We tried to make a reservation but nothing was available. My friend insisted on putting our name on a standby list and the restaurant was extremely excited to call us with a cancellation, which they said rarely happens. I was excited to introduce my friends to this spot! Our party was not the easiest as we have a few dietary restrictions, like one GF person and one vegetarian. We wanted a few of the starters and noticed that getting the antipasto might be the most cost-efficient way. My friend asked if we might have all the meat on one plate and the veggies on another to be considerate of the vegetarian (me) and they nicely accommodated that request. The GF friend was excited to order a Dubai chocolate martini as she thought she would be getting these flavors without the dough she can't have, but it came around the rim and sprinkled in the drink and she had to send it back, which they also quickly accommodated. They also had several mocktails on the menu, really nice options made with NA spirits. I ordered one of these. I usually get the gnocchi here but on this visit they had a pasta special with corn that was like a taste of just-ended summer and I went with that. It was delicious and my friends enjoyed their meals as well. There is a dessert bar next door but service on this night was taking an extremely long time so we didn't get into any desserts. Service on this particular visit was not quite what I've been used to on previous visits overall, and one of my friends mentioned it afterward to the GM who was very accountable and responsive. He had also stopped by to personally check on us during our meal, and it's nice to get a sense that a place genuinely cares about your customer experience. I will continue to come back.

Our waitress Ellie was attentive, patient, and helpful for our party of 9. She was even willing to give some of the guests tea bags from her own stash! Our group of 9 tried almost everything on the menu. They have a small menu with a few appetizers and main courses along with some desserts. Because we were a larger group, at least one of us got something on the menu. We also shared, so I tried many of the dishes! They gave us an amuse bouche, which was aracini with caramelized onions and peppers. DELICIOUS. I wanted more. We also got foccacia with an oil dipping sauce. The focaccia was denser than usual, but I loved it! Here's what we tried: [Sausage Greens & Beans]: A traditional Italian dish that was absolutely delicious. There was so much flavor between the panchetta, beans, escarole, and sausage. This dish was out of my comfort zone but so delightful. [Crispy Brussel Sprouts]: Man! These were good. They were perfectly charred and paired with a spicy sauce that took this dish to the next level. [Wedding Soup]: A little non-traditional since their noodles were much larger, but I loved the denser meatballs. [Caesar Salad]: My husband loved this dish! The croutons made the dish extra, and it was well dressed and slightly lemony. [Warm Mushroom Salad]: I hate mushrooms but I loved this. The rosemary smoked mushrooms were the star of this dish. [Shrimp Risotto]: This was so creamy and flavorful! [Chicken Marsala]: This dish was out of this world! The rosemary smoked mushrooms gave this dish a perfectly smokey flavored. The chicken was stuffed and accompanied with lyonnaise potatoes that were so crispy and delicious. [Roasted Veggie Rolled Lasagna]: Wow was this dish flavorful. The variety of vegetables were perfect, and the roaster red pepper ricotta in the middle was just what this dish needed. [Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie]: This was the perfect fall dessert. Apple turnovers, peaches, and pumpkin pie mousse. The perfection portion and not overly sweet! This restaurant made it to my top 5, and it was so delicious. All of the flavors were so complex! You need to try this restaurant or you'll really be missing out! I cannot wait to try more items on their menus as their specials and menu changes. Such a hidden gem!
