Worst experience! At 5:10pm I ordered 2 entrees and an appetizer for my kids and they were estimated to be delivered around 6:10pm. At 6:40pm, I was notified that my order was cancelled and I wouldn't be charged. My kids were starved. This was ridiculous! read more

The waitress Fatima was great and you could tell she was trying to make sure her tables was okay. The problem was with the kitchen. Our daughters' food came out quickly which was great. The problem is that we waited almost 15 or more minutes for our entrees to arrive. The girls finished eating their food and was ready to go by the time our entrees arrived. The burger was overcooked and dry and the chicken Alfredo broccoli was dry. The shredded parmesaen cheese spread on top of the dish did not and could not supplement for the missing sauce. read more

Don't we all love at least one thing from Applebee's? The sweet potato fries are off the chain ! I came in here with my friend to grab a quick bite to eat after walking all over Green Acres mall. We were not instantly greeted , but they finally noticed us standing in the waiting area, we were. There was no wait. We were seated within minutes. Our waitress was very nice. she was attentive, and gave great suggestions because I was picky. I had a Sangria, it was way too sweet, and tasted more like juice than wine. The sweet potato fries I had got as an appetizer came with four different sauces. and OH MAN they are good. I had to order some more. I made my friend order a burger because when you do, you get unlimited sweet potato fries. Amazing. For my meal I got the salmon which was exceptional. The plating could have been better. but eh, whatever, I had fries. I would come back, not to sit and eat, but to take out some sweet potato fries. I would recommend. read more

I've been to this applebee's quite a few times and it isn't my favorite. The workers here are not snotty but also not the friendliest I've encountered. The food is your average ab's meals. But I will say it seems that my friend was jipped a bit of her meal last time I came here. My meal was delicious though. A cowboy burger with a veggie pattie and no Bacon. Scrumptious. 2 for 1 drinks. Can't beat that. Not strong. So you'll need both if you're trying to feel it. Anyways, if you're looking for some food and not the typical food court meals this is the least crowded of the restaraunts in the mall area. Service ins't knock your sox off great BUT the crowd is light.. you can deal with it. read more

Gotta give credit where it's due even though I'm no Applebee's fan. This location has improved despite previous reviews. My daughter likes to go because of the kiddie menu and Presto game kiosk so I had no choice for a late Wednesday night dinner. The servers have stepped up their game and so has the kitchen staff. With new menu items and deals to stay, A B'S may be making a come back sooner than we know. My daughter ordered mozzarella sticks that were crisp and hot, chicken tenders kids meal. I ordered the cedar grilled salmon that was charred perfectly. I love my salmon soft inside and char grilled outside. This was perfection. I paired my meal with green beans and mashed pecan candied sweet potatoes. I was really impressed by this location. In the past they were not up to par but this time I was blown away. Our hostess kept checking on us and the servers were prompt. read more

Denise at Applebee's is a very nice waiter food=delicious rairaitings 5/5 she deserves a raise

Some of the food was bland with no taste and while the customer service was great in the beginning with Denise, towards the end she became rude when she came over to the table to say our card declined. While we were very certain there was cash on the card, she claims it was not their machine system even though the receipt she handed me stated it was "offline". There was never a pending charge when the card was swiped meaning they never processed it at all. I walked over and paid with Apple Pay using the same card and the charge went through and she claims "oh wow it works". Obviously she was at fault and did not fully check that their machine was online and did not apologize. Instead she accused us loudly of not having cash. Would not recommend due to this incident. read more

It was pretty empty today, I'm guessing that's why our service was so fast and delicious. The Food came out on time and well done. Our waitress checked in on us 3 times within the 45 mins we dined (Awesome!!) however she didn't offer refills but she was still great. Nothing was done wrong at all and everything was seasoned to perfection. I love this Applebee's so much and I love this location more than any other location in Brooklyn and manhattan. I'll be back Again in a few days. read more

I don't even know where to begin to say that this is the worst applebees I've ever been to, staff is not properly trained at all, the food was cold, we had to wait over 45 minutes just to get our check and the staff was not helpful at all and they were so disrespectful, honestly i would not recommend coming here at all read more

I literally live seven minutes from Green Acres.. how does it take two hours to deliver a frozen dessert? My friend is in the military academy at West Point and he was trying to surprise me with a triple chocolate meltdown cake and the vanilla ice cream on the side. Mind you, the hostess picks up when he inquires about the delivery and says, "it's on the way," all snippity at him. Great way to support your service men and women: by being jerks. Edit: After attempting to file a complaint, I have come to the conclusion, the manager is an asshole. He refused to provide his name too! All of a sudden, little miss who was short with started inquiring why I was contacting a manager. Like girl you don't know? Asking me the time of the order, date of the order, what is the complaint after I explained it at the start of the call. Highly incompetent. Thus, after finally being connecting, he basically tells me GrubHub is at fault for delivering the order two hours late and that because his restaurant is in an "urban area" it is expected to have bad reviews. He even has the nerve to say if my friend called the first time he dealt with the hostess' attitude maybe we wouldn't be here with me screaming at him. You think service men have the time to call so many times? His hostess obviously does have etiquette, lacks hospitality skills and is tasteless. And the manager? You clearly need socializing skills for your staff and communication skills with patrons. My friend is the epitome of patient and did not understand being abruptly hung up on not once but twice. So - Grubhub reached the Applebee's (apparently the manager was bullshitting when he said "Well, they never respond to my calls and they never reach out to us!") and guess what?! The manager got the call! They refused to refund like the manager said he would if we called Grubhub and only wanted to offer 20% compensation back. GrubHub was kind enough to refund us. I filed a complaint with corporate, BBB and Grubhub. Bye Applebee's. Don't go to this Applebee's. The better alternatives are TGI, BWW and BJs Brewhouse. read more

I brought my 80 year old mom that wanted to go to an Applebees because she had an awesome experience in the Staten Island Applebees. We were a party of 4. The one closest to me is Valley Stream. We got there around 7:00 pm. The hostess was rude. We waited in the waiting area for about 20 minutes which by the way was filthy. No one said anything to us. There was one other person waiting but apparently it was for take out food. When I asked the hostess how much longer she gave me a dirty look. Finally someone from the back came out and said are you being helped, we said no but we are waiting. He said we can seat you but we need to clean off a table. I went to see where we were sitting and I was appalled at what I saw. First of all there were only a few people inside at tables, it was mostly empty. All the other tables were full of dirty dishes and the floors were full of garbage. We walked out, disgusting!! The staff should be ashamed of themselves and where is the Manager ! Never again. If I could give this place zero stars I would. read more

Horrible service. staff Not properly trained, rude and not welcoming. been a customer of Applebee's for many years and never have ive been to an Applebee's location like this one nor any restaurant like this. From the host to , waiters and to the management , very poor service , need to learn how to treat customers Better. We were seated and not one waiter/waitress came by to greet nor take our order , 30mins went by ! I asked someone passing by to assist us and they gave me An attitude saying they aren't my waiter, didn't try to get someone to come take our order either, finally i Got up to leave frustrated , my mom was getting ready to leave behind me when the manager came over to her explaining they were busy to please hold on so I walked back in and sat down because my mom insisted to be understanding, he took our order and explained we would get a free appetizer for the inconvenience. So we waited and got appetizer , finished appetizer, still no food , still no drinks , I ask same person again if we can get drinks since she is the bartender , explained she can't help us because she's at the bar just standing there , once again can't help to find someone to help us, manager comes over and I ask if the food is coming out soon, tells us yes it is on its way , then bartender comes over explaining that she guess she'll help us out , manager told her to LOL! I explained manager took our order and we are waiting for it , an hour goes by , no food ever comes out, she explains that she misunderstood me and that she sees no food coming out , can't believe this place and the lack of communication , I asked twice not once to manager , he said he took care of us , I was really upset , will never go back there , to wait a whole hour for a salad is terrible , hopefully something changes there soon to make it a better place. read more

Well. After reading all the negative reviews, I still decided to have lunch here because it was the closest restaurant at the time. Service: decent. I mean it's Applebee's. Food: decent .. it's Applebee's. Didn't see rude servers, didn't see garbage or the floor, didn't see faces of patrons frowning from bad food. The bartender and manager were extremely rude! My friend and I asked our waitress to substitute the liquor in our drink because it makes me sick and the manager said that cannot be done which I don't understand why not when I said I'd pay the difference. I later agreed to order a different drink and the waitress brought the wrong ones. I let her know the drinks were wrong and she came back saying the manager said I cannot change my drinks. The bartender then took almost 30 minutes to prepare our drinks and it tasted as if she put NO LIQUOR in it. I will never come here again!Ive also ordered a patron margarita that took like 45 minutes to come along with the pina colada drink I ordered .The patron margarita was watered down read more

My food tasted okay, simple appetizers we shared. They weren't great, and seemed like they had been sitting out. We came for happy hour. We sat at the bar, my Long Island iced tea was a premixed bottle, not a fresh, shaken drink. My husband had beers- he said they were a little less than cold. The bartender gave us a cup with ice?... The bartender was not attentive at all and spent her time on her phone or with guys at the other end of the bar. We could not even get her attention. This was horrible experience so dirty did not clean the area. They say us here at this table. The worse experience and I love some Applebee's. I will never go back to this one or recommend it. I know people who worked there and told me do not ever go to this one and I was in a rush and wanted some wings and look at this smh. As a business for you to sit people down in an area and think this is okay and normal we could've waited 10 more minutes for the area to have been swept. Then the drinks was horrible manager was upset but still took them off the bill. I will never again go there or recommend this Applebee's to anyone they are not clean. Avoid at all cost. read more

The food was good and being gluten free there was a lot of things on menu that I could eat. The service was great.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK, let's get into this. First off, I can't say anything bad about the food. It was usual Applebee's food. There was nothing wrong with it. What I had a BIG problem with was the employees. There were two of us. We sat at the bar and just had beer, wine, and some apps. Nothing too big or hard. The two bartenders were named Kahl (male) and Franny (female). Kahl ignored us when we sat down right in front of him. Franny eventually came over and took our drink orders. She was pleasant enough and seemed nice. We got our drinks, ordered our food, and talked a bit. This is where the issues started. There were two women ( I didn't get their names) sitting on opposite sides of the bar, talking to each other. Not sitting NEXT to each other, you understand, sitting literally on opposite sides, so that their conversation could be heard by the entire bar and the tables that were close. They even joked about how loud they were talking. Soon, I realized why they were sitting like this. They work there. I only figured this out when Franny, Kahl, and the two other women all began complaining and talking shit about other employees that work there. Now, I understand that employees complain about other employees and about their bosses. This is nothing new and it's as it should be. What I CAN'T accept, is when the two employees sitting at the bar start saying at the top of their lungs... "They all faggots! I don't like NO ONE here. They all faggots!" All of this is happening loud and clear, with TWO young children sitting very close to them. That...is NOT ok. Soon, Kahl is trying to clock out of his shift, so he's ignoring us and complaining to the other employees about hurrying up so he can "get the fuck out!". We had to interrupt their homophobic conversation just to ask for our check. This is a corporate, family restaurant. Not cool. And "faggots"? Seriously? What year is this?!?!? Thumbs down. We will NEVER eat there again. read more

I decided I am going to start reviewing chain restaurants even though I usually dont unless the service is impeccable/terrible. I feel as If these places need some loving too. After all they are restaurants, and they NEED to be reviewed. Mainly I'm going to be comparing different chain restaurants based on pros and cons of food/service/atmosphere. This particular Applebees just didn't cut it for me. To start we ordered and appetizer and drinks. Now happy hour drinks (or whatever deal they had going) were two for one. You have to get both drinks at the same time, which is fine but what got me is angry is this... as a person who has worked in a restaurant before, the drinks are the first thing you bring to the table. I'm sorry but if the appetizer comes before the drink that's a problem because there are people like me who need a sip of somethig after each bite, that easily go through 3/4 drinks per seating (whatever kind of drink that may be). Now in this case he brought our appetizer first and I just assumed that he obviously was waiting for the bartender to make my two Pina Coladas. So we start eating our appetizers and of course I'm getting thirsty (he hadn't brought my Bf's soda either). He's like no where to be found and I'm kind of trying to wait for my drink to come before i continue eating. The appetizer (trio) was not hot. It was between warm and room tempature. We finally got another waitress who got our waiter, and he came with my Bf's soda. I told him about our appetizer and he said he would have it warmed, but I figured by the time he came back our entrees would be on there way. I told him to let the chefs know so other people don't have the same problem. I then asked about my drinks and he said the bartenders were making them so I asked for him to bring me a water...:...........:............:.......:......... ...........:........................... . ..........:........................ As were finishing our appetizer AND my bf's soda our food comes (from a different waiter). I STILL DON'T HAVE A FUCKIN DRINK!!! NO WATER, SODA, OR PINA COLADAS!! Now we have NO MORE drinks left, we don't know where our waiter is, and at this point I'm pretty full from the appetizer/soda. By this point at the restaurant me and my bf would be out in another 15 minutes because we usually bring 75% of our food home. Once again I am trying to hold off on eating my entrée because I'm very thirsty....so as I'm stalling I see our waiter and call his attention again and gives me a look of oh yea your drinks". I start to eat with the intention of my drink finally being on its way. Once again waiting-- after about 10 minutes I was really pissed and got up to talk to a manager because I wanted them to take the drinks off my bill, sure enough who comes over to the table...(it seemed as if every time I was at a boiling point he would pop up). Now I have two huge Pina Coladas and a plate with 80% of the meal left on it. The moral of the story and point of my review is to say that this Applebee's has a bunch of scatterbrains working. Applebee's are within a 5mile radius or so of one another. Go to the new one Elmont. Go anywhere, but here. Save yourself frustration. P.S- I paid for my Pina Colada (even though it was 2 for 1), and drank about a quarter of one. read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - My two strawberry margaritas!!!! - American Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

First off my food was chili lime chicken which brings rice a cheese covered chicken breast. The rice was burnt the chicken was average. But the most surprised thing was that I orders strawberry milkshake and half way through the drink I sucked in a piece of plastic of the milk gallon top, I nearly choked. And to my disgust I watched the bartender pick her ear while she was on the job she was the person responsible for making my drink. I tried to talk to a manager but was brushed aside by my server by going to talk to him herself instead allowing me to talk for my self I was very upset about this experience I wouldn't recommend to anyone to come here for a night out read more

My very first experience at this Applebee's was a very negative one. The wait for a table was not long but the service after that point was very unpleasant. Our drinks and silverware came a little after the food, which by the way had a wrong order for one of us in the group. Necessities like straws and napkins also came much later than expected. When the silverware did arrive, it was in a glass of cloudy water that did not seem very clean. The food itself was not at its optimal warmth and thus took away from the flavor. The Long Island Iced Tea that a friend of mine ordered tasted unlike any other LI Iced Tea for some reason. The taste was reminiscent of dishwater and ginger...an unlikely combination lol. Once these issues were brought to the manager, he properly apologized and gave us a free dessert. We vowed to never return. Come here if you so desire. You might have a better experience than I did. read more

Stupidest Applebee's EVER! 1. HAIR in food. Showed waitress and she stated it was cotton from the cook's apron. 2. Food was cold. So the waitress took the order and drinks and everything was going fine . During the meal she was asking everyone is everything was ok but except us . Anyways I asked her for the check and the check had completely wrong items . The bill was $20 more than I expected . I called the waitress back , she came with a new bill, I check the bill again and she charged my Bahama mama $10 instead of happy hour 4.65. She was trying to explain me that she put more liquor and used captain Morgan making up excuse eventually she went back to get a new bill and kept saying ' woow' 'woow' while walking back and I had to tell her it's not my fault as she had no idea what she was doing and wasn't even apologetic or she was trying to actually make some extra on the side I don't know . My brother ordered Sangria which was 4.60 happy hour and she charged 7.65 I showed her that as well. Her name is Latisha , be careful when she is bringing your check. read more

So it was mid-afternoon, hadn't eaten yet, wanted to beat the traffic, driving past it on the way home, thought about the commercials and the deals. That's how we came to go to Applebee's at the mall. Ugh! Waste of money and time! And they don't want to change because they are executing the corporate procedures so this place stinks from the top! They overcook and dry out everything, unless you order something where you control the temperature (my steak was rare). Otherwise, the cheeseburger sliders were dry, tough, and better for hockey as a puck. The tequila lime chicken was burned, tough, and dry untill we actually squeezed lime over it. The worst, believe it or not, was the rice. Yes, they make their rice dry, hard, and like rubber! And the cooks are doing as directed! I'm glad I have a dental plan! The topper to this story has to be the server. Polite and corporate. However, when she said that instead of the potatoes that come with my steak, I could have onion rings so I, of course, said 'yes.' I got charged money for the onion rings! She was also very attentive on my raspberry lemonade offering me refills. She, again, charged me, for something and not tell me in advance or even during! And we had four refills! I really thought that practice is called 'petty larceny' but I could be wrong. We've asked relatives who go to Applebee's frequently and they couldn't figure out why they go either?! I say, Nay, Nay to Applebees! read more

I came here with a table of 9. We made reservations, but still had to wait. The service was horrible, we had two kids and they sat us in the bar section. REALLY ? After asking for the booth, they insisted that this section would be comfortable and we would have to wait long for a booth. Being that we were starving, we just sat there. The food was mediocre, nothing more than commercialized ready made meals. I am now reminded why I haven't been to Applebees in so long. Even the two for $20 deals had menu choices that were NOT exciting. Also, the service level here is below average. A bunch of just out of highschool kids, with attitudes. It's great that they are working, but the manager should know who to put in charge or not. While leaving we walked through the lobby and smelled the horrible skunk like marijuana smell, which just turned my stomach. Seriously, are they smoking on the job. Just horrible. I saw several plates get dropped off at different tables and contaminated by other customers and then brought to the correct table.
