Came here on a holiday for lunch and it was really quiet so we got seated in no time. Our server was great- he was cracking jokes and made up for the quiet atmosphere of the restaurant. Got the two orders of the two for $25 (which is a great deal must I say). For appetizers, we got the spinach dip and onion rings. Both were huge in size and we were almost full off of these haha. Spinach dip was really good, but the chips accompanying them were too salty unfortunately. The onion rings were big and crunchy, really good. For entrees, we got the classic cheeseburger, bourbon chicken and shrimp, and four cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken. The cheeseburgers were super solid cheeseburgers: the meat was cooked nicely, it was juicy, had a good amount of veggies on there- overall a really simple, yet good burger. The mac and cheese was unfortunately not as good. The chicken was well cooked but the pasta did not have any flavouring and all its flavouring really came from the sweet chicken. The bourbon chicken and shrimp was also solid, the chicken was slightly overcooked but the taste was there nonetheless. Kiddo wanted Applebees, so we stopped here on our way to the Walmart Vision Center (no Walmarts near where we live). We arrived shortly before the lunch rush (11:30am) & were able to be seated right away. It wasn't very busy yet, with only a few other tables occupied. Our server was friendly & brought our drinks to us right away. She also informed us that they served Pepsi, not Coke when we ordered Cokes. That seems trivial, but they're required to do because of trademarks, yet so few do. So kudos to her for remembering. We ordered the 2 for $22. We both got the cheeseburger & fries. We chose the mozzarella sticks for our appetizer. The mozzarella sticks didn't take very long & were hot when they arrived. The meals, however, seemed to be taking longer than two cheeseburgers should take, especially considering that it wasn't crowded. Please not that if you order the cheeseburger, it doesn't come with any sauce on it. There's ketchup at the table, but you'll have to ask for mayonnaise or mustard if you like them on your burger. Otherwise it will be plain and dry. The burger was really thin, but large. It hung considerably off the bun. Personally, I prefer the fatter burgers. They're not as dry. But that's me. It might not be your preference. We both found the fried to be too salty. I ate a few, but left most of them on the plate. Same with the kiddo. Considering the meal cost us about $23 (incl tax), it wasn't bad. Two fast food burger combos would almost cost that much & wouldn't come with the mozzarella sticks. I've had better (looking at you, Burgatory), but I've also paid considerably more, so it all evens out. For the price I paid for the meal, I can't complain. read more

We ordered pickup at 7:00 today for pickup at 8:00. We sat outside for curbside and were told several times that our order was being packed up. We arrive at 7:50, and LEFT AT 9:30! It wasn't clear at all how to cancel and get a refund from the app, or we would have left. The icing on top? The manager finally brought our order out - no apology for the delay, no explanation...nothing at all. I realize that you'd have to be Nostradamus to foresee that on Mother's Day, during a pandemic, when no one was cooking that it would be very busy. But this location could be operated more efficiently by 2 or 3 ambitious 8-year-olds. Just had dinner at Apple Bees. Not happy at all. First I wanted a drink in a tall glass and got it in a short glass. Second had to use my "smart" phone to access a menu, which I have know idea how to scan the bar code before I walked into the place now I have to squint to read a menu. This apple bees is located near the mills mall so you can do some shopping and eating. The staff is super friendly and sweet. The food is quite good and a nice variety. Only Pop drinks are free refills unfortunately. The appetizers are filling in itself. The appetizers came quickly and refills were attentive. Also the boneless chicken wings, I'm pretty sure it's breast meat which is fine but confusing. I'm taking off stars because we've been waiting for our food for over 45 minutes. . It's very empty in the restaurant at 8 pm so I'm not sure what's taking them so long. I've experienced tons of busier restaurants. Come on apple bees , what's the hold up. My husband and I stopped for lunch this week and I decided to order a burger - not my usual choice. When it arrived it was dripping with grease every time I picked it up. The bottom bun was soaked to the point it was falling apart. I like a juicy burger, but juicy does not mean greasy. I managed to get through one half of the burger but could not move forward. The fries, which I normally enjoy here, were so heavily salted that I could not eat them. The manager stopped and I told her the issue. She did ask if I wanted anything else but I declined because my appetite was now ruined. She walked away and we got the full bill. We normally go here just because we eat out often at Pittsburgh Mills and need something different but we rarely leave feeling that our meal was great or even good. read more

Typically, when I go to this applebees, I have an okay experience. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's just okay. I'd say overall, it's a solid 3 stars. The food always is your typical applebees food. I've had times where I feel like it just doesn't taste as great (less fresh) than other times. I've been here plenty of times, a time or two more recently, and this still stands. I do like the drink specials for their happy hour. There are good drinks on special, and a variety. They also have a lot of other specials they do, like half price appetizers, that make it worth it to go during this time. It's also nice that there are several healthy options here. Of course, being a chain, you never know where the food is sourced or how fresh it really is, but there are healthy options nonetheless. Overall, definitely not my favorite choice, but I'm sure I'll still head here every once in a while when I'm visiting family in the area. read more

This used to be one of our favorite stops for a couple beers and some unhealthy fried snacks. The bartenders and servers were friendly and fun, the appetizers were good and the place was clean. Unfortunately, many of the employees that we used to look forward to seeing, have left after years of service due to the lack of advancement opportunities here. Understandably, the attitude is now terrible for the most part, not what your looking for when you want to unwind. We decided to give them another shot last night but it ended quickly. As we sat down at the bar, a hideous stench overtook us. I don't know what it was and I don't think I want to know but it was bad enough to get us back in the car and outta there! Went here for my birthday and our server, Dan, was very polite and brought our food at a wonderful pace. Got a free shot glass of ice cream which was delicious. I got the chicken platter which wasn't that great - chicken was dry and fries were over-seasoned.. But our mozzarella stick appetizer was incredible! And my boyfriend got steak, which he said was perfect. 4/5 stars, simply because my main dish was all bad.. But overall wasn't so terrible to give less than 4. So i normally don't have issues with this Applebees, but tonight absolutely sucked. Took my mom out for dinner, we waited for a table (not bad because it was busy. But then....server took our drink orders- took about 15 minutes to get them. Then we gave our order. Our appetizer came out 30 minutes after sitting there. The server went to get a refill for my drink and was suppose to get water for my mom. Needless to say, he forgot the water. After over an hour of sitting there, they came out to us my food was ready but what my mom ordered they dont have. So i asked for a to go box and left. Was still charged for the drinks. I understand that its busy, but geez an hour!! And by the looks of the juices of my food, it was sitting for a WHILE. We normally hit up applebees for special occasions or just good food. This was the best experience I have had at an Applebee's. Our waitress was attentive, very friendly. When my steak arrived, I cut into it and it was how I ordered it. She was very kind and offered several times to replace it which I declined. A few minutes later, the manager stopped by to apologize and again offer to fix it. In the end, I ate what they originally brought me and kindly asked to take home a new one. When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised to find not only my steak, but my entire meal. Ms. Kristen, our waitress started off by taking our order "with a very bad attitude" , and when we ordered our food she disappeared and never came back! Our order was of course put in "wrong", and served by another waitress! When Ms Kristen "with a K", finally showed up we asked her "nicely", to correct the order, her attitude, "(if it was possible)" got worse! She took the corrected order but disappeared again. I'm concerned about chain restaurants and how it's making diners loose their expectations. I'll tell you why....places like Applebees, Chili's, and Eat n Park are really lacking in customer service. Last night, we had a really nice server, but we had to ask for silverware...ask for napkins...ask for multiple refills. These things are the major parts of the job. It's not just about the food. It's the experience. If our standards drop but the prices of food rise people will not "go out" anymore. I went to a fine dining restaurant and had amazing service and food for lunch and paid the same price at Applebees for bad service and ok food. My husband was ready to walk out due to his $14 piece of chicken and a scoop of rice. It wasn't placed properly on the plate and there was no vegetable included. It was embarassing. Great place for lunch and dinner! I am visiting from out of town and the staff is friendly and fast... The only problem I have with this establishment is the yelling coming from the kitchen! Are you serious? I travel 75% of every year and eat out 100% of that time.... I've never been into an Applebee's where there is such loud raucous behavior coming from the kitchen. Food was tasteful but they forgot to cook the vegetables in the entrees ( server acknowledged this was a common observation ).

This is a very good restaurant. We go here all the time, especially for drink specials. We just ordered drinks and appetizers this time at the bar. The bartender, Alyssa (I think) provided outstanding customer service. She provided drink refills in a timely manner. We watched her clean up around the bar while we were there and we were very impressed. You always worry if the dishes are clean and the area is sanitary, but we don't have to worry about this here. Food was good as usual. We've tried most of the entrees here and have never had a bad meal. read more
