I came on a Saturday night and ordered the brisket platter ($25) and it came with two side and garlic bread. I ended up getting the last of the brisket which was a bit dry and extremely fatty(and not edible). The wings were Smokey and tasted great with the BBQ sauce. Service was a bit slow and I had to ask for utensils as the table didn't have any. Overall it's ok for a chain BBQ chain, I'm sure it could be a bit better if I didn't get the last of the brisket. Would not recommend eating here. We ignored the three major red flags of 1) no smell of BBQ outside 2) hardly anyone in the restaurant at peak time and 3) didn't check Yelp reviews (Google had a solid rating somehow). All the food was clearly reheated (we had the Brisket combo platter with a Mac n cheese extra for toddler). The service was quick as the restaurant was nearly empty, but the waitress showed no care - never asked if the food was good, just minimal required service. Another waitress that was also the hostess was very friendly. Restaurant was decently clean, restrooms gave sticky floors. Not award winning meats. I thought the prices were ridiculous! For a 6 oz steak the price was cheaper than one of your BBQ dishes. The waitress tells me that all those dishes are prepared there. I find that hard to believe. They probably come in and all they have to do is cook them. Not only that, we were seated next to a party of 14. They could have put us a couple of booths away from them. It was very busy and a bit noisy. I also used the ladies room. I walked in and heard my sneakers sticking to the floor. I went into a stall and sat down. Needed a good dinner. Had a Jack and Coke before dinner. Well mixed. We had whatever they call the rib feast for 2. It was enough for 2 adults and a 15 year old hockey player and there was some left over. That was a lot of ribs. Ribs were decent. I like that they were rubbed and not slathered and they had sauces on the table. Thought the chipolte sauce was the best one. Could use more smoke but that's me. When I seen very little cars in the parking lot I should've known better... as soon as we sat down our waiter came to our table to order our drinks and we felt kinda rushed as he was like why don't I just grab waters and come back, it was the way it said it though that seemed as if he was rushing us. We had literally sat down, don't even know what they had served from the bar or wether it was coke or Pepsi products. Food came out pretty fast, my salad was very good though everyone's meat in my party was extremely dry. Broccoli seemed to have needed to be cooked a little longer and was flavorless. Im always traveling and Smokey bones tends to be my dinner of choice, so I've been to quite a few to say the least. With that being said the service and cleanliness of this restaurant really stood out to me. I'm not sure if it was just the environment overall but even the food tasted so much better! I am so done with this place. Only my 3rd time, but will be my last. First, our server was more interested in chatting with the table next to us, so we couldn't get any attention. My husband and I ordered the blackberry iced tea........mistake number 1. It is so sweet that it's disgusting. I ordered the nachos as my entree and had them add pulled pork. My husband got a combination that had dry rub ribs and wet ribs. Food arrived so quickly that our friends hadn't eaten more than two spoonfuls of their soup. This is a server problem, not a kitchen problem. Who wants to be rushed like that? My nachos were enormous, but had likely sat in the oven too long as the cheese was like a rock, and the pulled pork (what little there was), was as dry as anything. My husbands ribs had so little meat on them, he couldn't understand what animal they had come from. When food is this bad, I normally complain, but we didn't want to make a fuss with our guests there. They each got a sandwich and weren't saying anything, so we felt they were ok with their food. Came here for dinner with friends after seeing a movie. Long story short, my friend ordered chicken and waffles and when she cut into her waffle she found a long blonde hair inside... There was also another hair wrapped around a sausage. Half of the meats were either dry and crumbled apart or were rubber, like they've been microwaved. Not a tasty dinner. I complained and the waitress told me this was the third complaint of the night regarding the brisket and it was only 6:00 pm. We ordered 3 burgers, all different and from their specialty menu medium-well, 2 of 3 were medium still a good bit of pink plus one was not the specialty burger that was ordered. The soup my husband ordered came out as 1/2 a bowl with a spoon the had food hanging off it and a greasy film. The waitress was nice but didn't offer anything more than a sorry when we brought it to her attention. This was one of our go to restaurants when we went to the Pittsburgh Mills, not any more. Service was extremely slow, at least 20 minutes before we got our appetizers, which we had to ask for plates to share. Apparently this Smokey Bones does not do Yelp check in even though the Yelp app shows checked in. Now instead of 15 minutes it will be 45. Waited 20 minutes for our food. Brisket was terrible. I know brisket is somewhat fatty but both mine and my wife's brisket were about 1/2 meat and 1/2 fat. Very poor quality. And to add insult to injury, prices are outrageously high for a restaurant like this. Have not been there for about 6 years when it was reasonably priced and the portions were generous and the food quality was good, but I will not be returning. Very disappointed. read more

This is a LONG review. The name/initial of a minor who was working at the time has been retracted: Yesterday afternoon, my stepfather ordered dinner for the family and had it delivered via Door Dash (check number ---------). One of the items that he ordered (ironically, my food) was listed on the website but had been - apparently - offered only for a limited time and should not have been on the menu queue, the Brisket Poutine. When we received our order, we noticed that the poutine was missing. I called the store and spoke with a hostess, ___., who I later found (via Scott) was a minor. She was very apologetic because it had been her intention to advise the Door Dash driver as to why the item was not in the order. She was not at the hostess stand when the driver arrived and missed her. However, she was very helpful and offered to swap the poutine for an item of equal value. I ordered a burger and asked if it could be delivered to me. Because ____. was unsure as to whether my burger could be delivered, she put me on hold and inquired from her manager (Scott) as to whether I would need to pick it up. She returned to the phone after having spoken to Scott and advised that I would need to come and get it. I agreed and even made the decision to purchase dessert when I got to the store. As I was preparing to leave, my stepfather's phone rang. It was ____., who indicated that "she" made a mistake and that her manager (Scott) told her that in order to get my food, I would have to go to the Door Dash app, request a refund (which he erroneously suggested would be remitted immediately), and order the burger (the one that I had just ordered) via Door Dash. I was a bit confused - by the sudden change of mind by Scott and by the reality that he had ____. call me to deliver that news, rather than, as the manager, do it himself. For clarification, I asked to speak to the manager. Immediately upon Scott taking the phone to speak with me, he raised his voice. I calmly asked that he stop yelling, which prompted him to both deny yelling and subsequently yell louder. He told me that I was asking him to make me a "free burger" and that he was uncomfortable with doing so. I clarified to him that I had - in fact - paid for a food item that was not available and merely wanted an item of equal value to replace it. He insisted that I was asking for free food and that in his experience, customers sometimes claimed that they didn't get orders, received replacement orders, and then got a refund from Door Dash. He suggested that he wanted to ensure that I would not get the burger and later request a refund for the food. I attempted to explain to him that I would do no such thing and asked him to confirm that I would not be able to get my burger because he was afraid that I would engage in fraudulent activity. He confirmed that to be the case. I reminded him that my not receiving my order was not my fault, and I reiterated that I merely wanted to get what I had paid for. He then brazenly - and unprofessionally - told me that it was the fault of the underage hostess that I was unaware that the item was no longer offered. He also blamed her for my being "incorrectly" told that I could have the burger as replacement. I reminded him that it was not ___.'s fault that the website was incorrect and that she had - in fact - conferred with him before finalizing the order for my burger. He became even angrier and continued yelling. I finally said, "Scott, what can be done to ensure that I am able to be made whole? I will not use the Door Dash app." He responded by saying, "I guess I'll make you your free burger!". I thanked him, hung up the phone, put my shoes on, and went to the store to pick up the burger. If all of this wasn't enough, there is more. When I got to the store, I spoke with ____., who looked embarrassed when I identified myself. I assured her that I was in no way upset with her and I thanked her for her professionalism. I then asked to speak with Scott and to retrieve the burger that I had ordered. ____. walked to Scott's office, which was in clear view of the front door, and told him that I was there. The two individuals who happened to be seated in the office - one of whom I presume was Scott - looked in my direction but did not move. _____. returned to the hostess stand with a different manager, Tony. Tony indicated that he would help me. I thanked him and asked again to speak with Scott. I calmly indicated to Tony that Scott was very accusatory, condescending, and disrespectful on the phone. I also expressed my concern that he attempted to lay blame for the incident at ____.'s feet. Tony went, just as ____. had, back to the office in clear view of the hostess stand and spoke to the individuals inside. When he stepped away from the office door, one of the occupants closed it. Tony indicated that Scott was otherwise occupied and that he would be the one to assist me. Scott never spoke with me. read more

I've eaten at this Smokey Bones several times and at different locations. I really want to give them a higher rating but I can only bring myself to say that it is average. The atmosphere is that if a sports bar with lots on TVs playing a variety of sporting events. There is both bar and dining area drains available. Most of the menu consists of BBQ recipes like pulled pork, brisket, ribs, etc. Other options are available such as pasta and salads and most restaurants offer. At our most recent visit, we were made to wait for 15 minutes before being seated, despite the fact that the place wasn't even half full. They were clearly understaffed at the time which was the problem, but I do think this is unacceptable. At the suggestion of the waiter, we tried the buffalo chicken dip app which was a new item on the menu. I thought it was weird because it was made of cut up chicken tenders with the cheese and hot sauce layered on top. I had the BBQ chicken meal which consisted of half of a chicken so if you order this, make sure you're hungry! It was moist but I wasn't overly impressed with the rub. I've had better experiences here is the past which is why we stopped today, but I will probably go elsewhere in the future if I have other options. read more
