Called to see if we needed to call ahead for a party of 8 and was told no,it would be no problem so when we got there they said it would be at least 45 min so we left, went down the street and they called and said they could seat us....10 min after they said at least 45 min.We wasn't going back and won't go again. read more

I'm very mad! I realize they're taking safety measures for social distancing but we went into our local Applebee's yesterday with my parents and my three children and told us we were going to have to split us up because they had a 7 person limit and we had eight. so you're telling me if I have five kids they would split me up from my children? We haven't been out in months because of Covid and was really excited about sitting down to my favorite restaurant and having some time with my family only to be told that they would not seat us together even though we're family. This is now no longer my favorite restaurant and I will not be going back! People have been cooped up for months now and finally trying to find some normalcy only to be told that you can sit with you loved ones. Their safety measures Are crossing a line. And they will not be getting any business from me! read more

The service was horrible by the bartender she would rather chat then take care of customers and the food was dry

Was told just a little over half hour wait. 1.5 hours later no table.. But a table of another face pulled in 10 minutes after us and was seated before us.. Was told because they was 1 less in party.. When brought to attention of hostess she was rude and said she meant over a hour. When received text we was next 45 minutes later still no table and manager Didnt care at all just starred at me.. If we knew it was over a hour wait with kids we would of went elsewhere which we in fact did and got right in and great service read more

Worst service and food ever. our server was at our table 3 times our whole meal. Our food came out cold.. and dry. We noticed our server sitting at the bar twice. One of the guest in our group actually had to clear plates and take them up to the bar, as other employees were just walking by. The manager did take our meals off. And was very polite, but I think the staff could do a better job. read more

I'm not sure if it's the servers or the kitchen or management, but after sitting for 50 mins and only receiving part of my food I'm not happy, ordered the steak fajita, my wife ordered without onions Ext it comes with everything on it, the server was surprised as she wrote the order without the extras, the manager tells the waitress they can't take off the onions etc because it comes all together, so is the food fresh or prepackaged frozen?!! After asking twice for the tortillas it finally arrived 7 mins after asking and receiving my food after 50 mins my wife's food being remade we finally get to eat. It has been at least a year and a half since we last ate at this location due to the food being undercooked, incomplete or just wrong, we will not be eating here again ever, we figured after this amount of time it would be better but alas it was not a good visit. read more

This was the first time in 14 years I had been to an Applebee's and it will be the last. The only plus was the server and the beer. One hour wait for food, over cooked burger, over done onion rings, dried out, meatless excuse for ribs, dirty table trivia machine, bathroom stall door with a sign saying not to close (apparently doesn't reopen) and the manager apologized to more than just my table. She comped my $13 burger meal. Thanks. But if you're gonna charge the trumped up prices for a shitty menu, at least do something right. Thanks, no thanks. This place sucks. read more

Applebee's is no better than McDonald's. They are living proof that millions spent advertising poor food will bring in millions of sheep to graze on the garbage they sell and bleat about how good it is... A living testament to the lack of taste of the American consumer. read more

We chose to eat at this Applebee's because it as next door to our hotel and we have had decent experiences in others of this chain. We would have been better to venture out in an unknown city and find something else! We waited almost an hour for our dinner to be served. When it was brought to the table it was served by someone other than our waitress and she did not bother to check on our dinner until we were half done. One dinner should have been a medium steak, baked potato and vegetable, it was served well done steak (overly salty) with mashed potatoes and no veggie. The second dinner was a steak pasta dish that was cold. It was as if the second had set the entire time we were waiting. When the server did come to check we told her about the problems and her solution was to bring a baked potato and vegetable out and see about heating the other dish and offered dessert. At that point we had eaten half because we had been there way to long and were hungry. Who wants to have a potato and vegetable brought half way through dinner? The management came after we refused the offer. He stood at the table and looked at us like we were being difficult to complain and not be satisfied with the previous solution. When I said I did not believe full price should be charged for a meal that was incorrect and missing items his reply was that he could adjust the bill after a long pause. The discount for missing and wrong items and an ice cold meal....$5 per dinner. Apparently the management does not value customer satisfaction or want repeat business! read more

Service was terrible! We were seated right away, but never saw a wait person. We waited 15 minutes. They had quit a few tables seated but the were not that busy. Very disappointed. If you want slow service and over priced food, then come here!

I'm currently in town on business and stretched for time, yet I still find this place awful enough to write a review of. I can't say anything about the food, it is probably typical Applebees fare. The problem with this place is the complete lack of service. The first night we stopped by, we spent 10 minutes waiting for a hostess who never showed up. The second trip, we were promptly seated, then ignored for roughly the same amount of time. The waitress eventually did show up but proceeded to bitch to the table next to us about petty issues in her own life, which weren't even current. After listening to her whine about her male kid not making the cheerleading practice squad for five minutes to a group that just wanted their check, we decided to take off. Unfortunately there isn't much going on in this town. I just wish I never needed to try an Applebee's of all places, twice. read more

I have to start this review by saying that I've been to several Applebee's in my life and up until yesterday I've been pretty satisfied with all of my visits. I stopped at this Applebee's with my son, brother and myself. My son ordered lime chicken and said it was pretty good. My brother and I both ordered the Bourbon Street Steak. This is my usual order. This was the worst steak I've ever had in my entire life. It had absolutely no taste to it. Even the texture was off. I asked my brother how his steak was and he said "this is my first time at Applebee's and it's also my last." I told him it's not usually like this. It's almost as if they had put pieces of different meat together with "meat glue" and served it as Bourbon Steak. Yes, meat glue is a real thing. I believe you can see videos of it being used on YouTube. Even the loaded mash potatoes tasted like glue. Except for the chewy fat from the bacon. I'm sorry I felt I needed to write this review and warn anyone else that might be thinking about stopping in here. read more

Truthfully, I've given this place a chance more times than it deserves. This used to be our "go-to" place in Springfield back around 2004-2005. Sadly, it's gone downhill since then. I really can't remember the last time I've had a good experience now. The food and drinks are ok... but just ok (sometimes). There was one time that i was served a steak completely raw (asked for medium). When i say rare, i mean someone seared the sides for about 10 seconds each and sent it out. Overall, it is the service that is really terrible. We've been completely ignored. Extremely slow service when not busy. They have carside to go but never bring the food out. Watched waitresses fight and talk horribly about one another in front of customers... all on multiple occasions. There are just too many better restaurants around the area to waste your time with this one. read more

I used to love this place, especially their spinach salad, but went there a month ago and was extremely disappointed! They've totally changed their menu (no spinach salad available) and raised their prices (a lot). Won't go back there again. read more

Let's start this off with I really DO NOT like Applebees, but this branch may have changed my attitude about it! We ordered there 2 for 20 meal deal and asked for the steak to be RARE, it came out damn near well done. They fixed it, and gave us free desert! Wow that is hard to find anymore! a manager who gives a shit!! This woman said she was sorry and got desersts for us... what else could you ask for other than free food!? read more

Love their 1/2 price appetizers...even better now that they have added soup and salad to the 1/2 price menu. Food is usually pretty good, but service can be slow at times even when they are not busy. read more

Well, at least the bathroom was clean. The air conditioning was barely working. There was screaming coming from the kitchen, and for some reason the steak I ordered came out as chicken. The wait staff is trying hard, but this is a terribly run Applebee's. Avoid. read more

What a terrible experience! We had a large group of 15 people, so we knew it could be tough...but wow, this location had no idea what they were doing!! We arrived at 8pm, but didn't get seated until 8:45pm. We were so frustrated that we reviewed the menu so we could order right away. BUT...our food didn't arrive until 9:30pm. That's right, we got our food 1 1/2 hours after we arrived at the restaurant. We watched disengaged staff mill around. Our table sat uncleaned for 10 mins while they seated smaller groups who showed up 20 mins after us, and discussions with an ineffective manager (Bob) added no urgency. The only saving grace was that they have a jukebox. We put in $10 and selected it to play Rick Astley "never gonna give you up" for 14 straight times when we departed. I hope they all enjoyed being Rick Rolled...it was the ONLY good part of our evening!!! read more

8/9/15--- Went there for the first time for my birthday dinner with my family. Server was so poor not only on the servers but the management as well. while being served the server dropped the pizza sauce on the floor which caused it to splatter all over mine and our family's feet. when we finally got food they handed my father a bacon cheeseburger. He had ordered the classic. Manager came over apologized and retook his order. So everyone ate dinner and when we were finally done the manager comes back and ask my father to clarify if he wanted cheese on his burger. My dad said screw it take it off the bill which they did. Couldn't believe that it was 20 minutes to redo a burger. Spent a total of 40 minutes waiting on a burger. Food was average but it was inexcusable. Sad we spent 85 bucks on a poor meal. read more

Well... here we go. I haven't been to Applebees in 6 years and now I remember why. First off, I need to make it clear that I'm in the food service industry and so is my daughter . We're usually very patient and understanding being that we are in the business. We were sat promptly, no issues there. Waiter arrived rather quickly and was very friendly. W ordered 2 waters and 3 cocktails. Waiter put our drink order in came back with the waters and then came back to take our appetizer order. My water glass had bbq sauce on it when I picked it up. No worries I thought, the inside of the glass looked clean. No napkins So I went to the restroom to wash my hands. Came back out, no cocktails. 15 minutes later the appetizer comes out. Still no cocktails. Also, no plates napkins or silverware. We asked the young lady who delivered our food for plates and silverware and asked about our cocktails. She didn't say a word, just looked at us and left. She comes back with the silverware and plates. I asked again about the drinks. Under her breath she goes "I heard you the first time". Ok... it's been 25 min. And no drinks. My daughter looks at her silverware . Food and grease on the fork and knife. Wow.... young lady cones back with our drinks and lot and behold.... no lime like i asked. I asked her for my lime and she rolls her eyes. Finally our waiter comes back and we show him the dirty silverware. He says" I don't understand why she would not look at it and give that to you" No worries we said... just get her new utensils. We ordered pretzels and artichoke dip as our appetizer. The chips on the Artichoke dip looked like they came from the bottom of the bag. Broken and crumbled up. Definately not good for dipping. At this point I am thinking hopefully the entrees will be better. Entrees come out. Ordered another round of drinks. They came allot quicker. My son in law and I ordered the shrimp and chicken. It was good. My daughter ordered a chicken and pasta dish that she said was cold in the middle. By this time we're not even going to say a word.... just eat. My daughter wanted dessert. She ordered the lava cake with ice cream and 3 spoons. Guess what.... same young lady ran the dessert. Ok....2 spoons. There are 3 of us at the table. Asked for a third spoon. Glare again from her but this time the waiter came back apologetically with the spoon . I have to admit... the waiter tried to please, was pleasant, just overwhelmed. The young ladies attitude and the dining experience were enough to say we will never be back. read more

Food was bad, service was really bad. Will not be going back! Used to be a regular customer, but no more! What happened? Seems like no one cares, never even saw a manager to talk to. It was a Sunday evening, not that crowded, took forever to get our meal, waitress disappeared after taking one bite of my steak it was so salty I couldn't eat it. By the time the waitress appeared the rest of my table was done eating so I got a replacement meal to go. Just was a really sad experience. Too bad, used to be a fun place to go. read more
