After a visit at the Dungeness spit we halted at Applebee's for lunch. The menu was very tempting and had my expectations soar high. They sure had a great food photographer. We ordered for a Wonton , Prawn stir fry served in rice and veggies and a Chicken steak served with Prawns. The food was so so.Nothing that deserves specificity from me in terms of how it tasted. The cutlery that was provided to me was soiled(had a few crumbs on it). The rice slightly hard and the sauce was the worst. The steak was however way better. We paid a sum of 33$ . If you are around the area , skip foo you have Ihop and a few other restaurants that may be better. read more

Well, we ordered the American Standard Burger and Chicken Lime Fiesta. Burger was bland, lacking the promised pickles that might have given it some crunch and zip. We asked for pickles, waitress said she'd bring but didn't. So the kitchen erred by not providing them, and the waitress erred by neglecting our pickle request. The chicken breast fillet was overcooked but the sauce was tasty. It was served with Spanish rice that looked like leftovers in our home refrigerator--and we went out to dinner to avoid that rice! I have always been a fan of Applebee's! This place is conveniently located close the highway and served as the perfect spot for lunch on our way to Seattle. The surf and turf steak with shrimp is my number one recommendation as it has yet to disappoint me! Being 21 in the US for the first time, I felt like I had to try out 'the perfect margarita' and it was a great decision. Don't want to be punny but it really is perfect. Prices at Applebee's are always very reasonable in my opinion especially for what you get! The waitress that was serving us was also great and just made it all even better. Overall, this Applebee's definitely lives up to the brand standards and is worth anybody's money may that be for lunch or dinner. read more

Even though the food took over 30 minutes to come out, that wasn't the problem. As our food was getting served to us, the bartender came to help. She made very unnecessary comments to my hungry toddler, such as "calm down bro, were gonna feeding you." Though what she said wasn't the worst thing to say, her tone of voice said otherwise. She spoke to my baby as if he was her own child. As a buisness owner, I would never let one of my employees talk to anyone like this, especially a child. I spoke with the manager moments after our food was served and she barely has anything to say. Minutes after she left, the bartender came to apologize. But instead of an apology, she came and told us that she had four kids and tried saying she just "didn't want the baby to touch the hot plate." They would rather push 2 tables together than accommodate our request in a restaurant that was partially empty. My request for a manager was also denied. Given the cheap prices, this was pretty decent. All our normal haunts were closed on Monday so we came here. Not bad at all. Reasonable portion sizes, some of the places we go to have gigantic portions (you also pay for it) so this is a nice change. read more

I had to eat here for lunch with coworkers while on a trip to peninsula. I usually avoid chain restaurants but it was lunchtime, we were limited on time, and needed something quick. We all got versions of soup and either salad or sandwich. I got the fiesta salad and tomato basil soup - both were surprisingly good. Service was fine. The manager did come by to check on us - something I always appreciate. So as much as I hate chain restaurants, I enjoyed my meal here at Applebee's. read more

Amazing service but food was mediocre at best. Mom had to have a new plate of chicken made, the first was overcooked and dry. The manager came out shortly after receiving the second plate to ensure it was done right this time. He said he personally cooked it. My burger was dry and bland, not at all enjoyable but decided to choke it down since I knew it was typical for this chain. The Perfect Margy is a great deal at about $8, don't be afraid to order it. Twice this month my wife and I have walked out because of a lack of acceptable seating. We are Seniors and like to dine early ~ 3 PM. At this time half of the restaurant is closed because of only one wait person. Business appears good and we could have been seated in the bar but not a regular booth ~ 10 feet away? Far be it from me to tell Applebee's how to run their business but it sure appears another wait person should be added during the 3 PM time frame. I went to Applebees for dinner around 9:30pm. We were seated promptly by a wonderful greeter named Mark. After we ordered our drinks from our server they were really slow at coming out, we never got the water we also ordered, then we ordered our food and waited 25 minutes for 2 basic entrees, our server informed us there was a delay in hanging our order due to "spacing out". The food was very bland and seemed like it was sloppily made. When our server dropped the check we were informed that we were the last customer needing to pay before their shift was over and they could go home. We were being encouraged to hurry and pay. I have a lot of patience for wait staff because I was once a server and understand, but my experience here was worse than I have patience for. This is the first bad experience I have had at an Applebees and I was disappointed. I'll try again another day. I ordered a "7oz grilled onion sirloin with stout gravy" and it was cooked perfectly. I was really shocked! I also stole food from my other table mates. Came for a family dinner with 7 people (two 4 year olds and 2 teens). Everything was perfect! Our service was fast and our server Drew W. was great. Drew was there when we needed him and not when we didn't. He put up with all our requests and not a single part of our order was wrong! Always had a smile and was super nice! Among the orders were the chicken alfredo which was "amazingly awesome". The shrimp alredo was also good with plenty of shrimp and a large portion size. The kids meals were also sized well with just enough for little bellies. The drinks were a bit slow to come from the bar but we had a few ordered and considering how busy it was there are no complaints! The house salads were huge! Plus it wasn't just lettuce and dressing; lots of tomatos, cucumber, cheese, bacon bits and croutons. Very much worth the 4 bucks or so to add it to an entree. Overall I was impressed with how clean it was, the food and the overall experiance. The next time I am visiting the area we will for sure keep this as one of our dining options! I was served RAW steak while 8 months pregnant. I told the server, and the manager came out and said they would cook me a new one and pay for my meal. They lied. They paid for the second steak instead although I got a 2 for $20+ meal. By that time, I didn't even want to eat any more. Eating raw meat is extremely dangerous while pregnant. Great service! Yummy food! Our waitress was very friendly, and most helpful! Thought I lost my prescription sunglasses, they checked twice and even moved the table just to make sure. Applebee's seems to scream chain - but unfortunately the food hasn't been perfected like it is a chain. I find the food very bland and uneventful. It also seems loud - fine for a bar - but the restaurant / bar makes it a bit more difficult to do either well. Went went last night for our "final chance" for this place. The last couple of times, it was not good so this was the decision visit. We order the riblet platter and a chicken wrap. Two vodka and seven's. First off, the drinks were ordered before the end of "happy hour". We didn't get the happy hour price for them, and they were "weak" to say the least. Riblets were OK and plentiful and there ends the good news. The chicken wrap had so little chicken in it, I could barely FIND it. And it was wrapped so poorly, it had to be eaten with knife and fork. Could NOT pick it up. Fries were not terribly plentiful and so over seasoned, they were hardly edible (oh, and cold). All in all, the "last chance visit" was a fail.
