I recently tried Applebee's Unlimited Shrimp, Riblets, and Boneless Wings deal at two different locations. The price is excellent and offers great value, but the service needs improvement. The biggest issue was the long wait time between orders. Servers would ask for our next order, but it often took 15-20 minutes before the food arrived. Sometimes they would leave the table and return much later to take the next order, making the experience feel unnecessarily slow. The portions are also quite small, which makes the long wait times even more noticeable. We experienced the same issue at two separate Applebee's locations, so it doesn't seem to be an isolated problem. If Applebee's is promoting an unlimited deal, the process should be smoother and more efficient. The food and pricing are good, but the service needs significant improvement to make the promotion enjoyable for customers. read more

Disappointed. Cane here as a group of 5 (2 being children) and it was a semi busy night. Waited a little longer than they estimated but that's ok. They were training the girl in the front and she was great. But the service overall just wasn't it. Our server was a nice guy but was not good when it came to helping us. He lagged on keeping us updated and our order was taking forever. Then seemed to avoid our table - one friend had to call out for his attention half way across the location when he would go to the other tables but turn and ignore us. Our appetizers didn't come out on time - it took just as long for the to be ready as our actual food. One ordered a drink and wanted to order another but took 10-13 minutes to get attention to place his order. Our friend had to call out a 2nd time to try to get the servers attention when we needed something and he absolutely looked but turned to act like he didn't. The front hostess actually came over to the check on us because she heard him being called and saw the interaction. A manager came around checking in and we hesitated but told her the service was on and she didn't prob to verify was it really - it was an awkward hesitation and slow "yeah" when she asked if everything's been good. We don't want to get anyone in trouble but Applebees just wasn't it this night. L We got overcharged for something and did tell her that so it could be corrected. It took almost another 8-10 minutes for that while we waited to pay. The food was good at least. Because of this I almost gave 2 stars but service is A LOT and it was lacking this night. read more

Embarrassing... we started out with appetizer trio of mozzarella sticks, boneless wings and pretzels with beer cheese. To be honest the flavors were fine; the temperature of the food though was barely warm at best. Then we waited another 20 minutes or so (while the restaurant was not busy) for our entrees which were terrible. I had the whiskey burger which was cooked so thoroughly it was crunchy on the outer part and super dry inside; the sauce was not nice either. My girlfriend had the lemon parm chicken which was over breaded, over fried/cooked, and super oily when it was served. There were about 5 chunks of bad pieces of chicken that were hard and inedible that she had to leave on her plate. Her mash potatoes were just fine, and the waffle fries she got were cold and had barely any flavor to them. It made both of us feel sick after eating. Will not be coming back; wish we had pictures to show of the food but we were in a mood to leave. read more

Had lunch there today. I had the new cheese burger and my wife the chicken. Both were very good and on the 2 for $25. I didn't know what to think of the burger because you can't pick it up and eat like a regular burger but that actually was nice I think I will eat my burgers like this from now on cuz none falls on my shirt and my hands don't get all messy. While our server was attentive and polite the food quality has gone down. The presentation when the food is brought out looks like they plated it in a hurry. Last night my daughter's kids pizza was brought out like it was pushed up against something before they brought it out. No manager on site to speak to about it either. This review is for Jordan. She was the hostess tonight. They were very busy and had a lot of large parties. Jordan was excellent. She was friendly and made everyone feel welcome. There was about a 30 minute wait so I was able to sit and watch her interact with a lot of people. She always smiled and made everyone feel welcome. She is the kind of person every restaurant wants in her position. She really impressed me. And no,I don't know her and I've never seen her before. I'm just a customer who recognizes great employees and think it's important that they are commented for their efforts. It easy to complain about something so I want to acknowledge her work.. I never thought I'd say this but I love Applebees. The ambience is fun and lively yet relaxing very relaxing. The service was outstanding our waitress was fun and kind and knew what to recommend including drinks. I ordered the garlic sirloin fillet with garlic hash browns garlic green beans and garlic broccoli. I also got grilled onions on my steak and it made it heaven. I wasn't even hungry yet I ate all the delicious food my stomach could handle and packed up the rest for tomorrow or maybe tonight. I can't believe I'm highly recommending Applebees Bar & Grill. It'd be a good place for a date. The salads were delicious. Different than others somehow but omg try it please. Don't forget a flavored lemonade and smoothie for the table. As recent returnees we began this time with Brew Pub Pretzels, Beer Cheese Dip & Honey Mustard Sauce as a late-night half-price appetizer, and for a small additional price Diane added Alfredo Sauce for dipping. Then a French Onion Soup for me was well made this time with a very gooey Swiss Cheese cap and an ample amount of broth surrounding well-caramelized onions. Diane found the shrimp in her order of Double Crunch Shrimp and Fries to be a bit spicy, but liked this dish overall, and deemed a side of Four Cheese Mac & Cheese to be "okay". My entree of Oriental Chicken Salad with grilled chicken was large, refreshingly cool, and properly lubricated with an extra requested helping of lemony vinaigrette dressing. Busy nite ... looks like everyone from the Redlands Bowl graduation decided to celebrate here like us. Got seated after half an hour wait time , not bad for 10 people splitting 2 tables by each other! Just ordered an appetizer platter: Mozzarella sticks Spinach & artichoke dip and chips Chicken quesadillas bite pieces Buffalo boneless chicken bites and Celery sticks. My overall perception of this place was Just Ok at first. I could tell by my wait that they were having some issues seating people, due to the vacant tables with dishes from the last parties. The bartender was cool, but struggled with pouring a beer.. All Foam!! Indicating the beer is warmer then it should be (red flag!) He said it's been like that for weeks.. So I got an ice tea instead.. The place was kinda busy and only had two servers for the whole place..Our server was very good, but you could tell lack of servers was a frustration.. I love the portion sizes of their meals. That's something that would definitely bring me back. The cooks do such a wonderful job! I'm just warmed up enough to go chronologically, I called ahead to reserve table and prepare the restaurant for the dinner 5 people, birthday girl etc. it took an hour from our arrival to be seated and seen when there was about a third of capacity at our arrival time. From the jump our waitress was callous to just us. In fact she automatically told me the drink I wanted wasn't available and later pulled it for another table! What's more she asked two of us what we were looking at as she had the drink in hand. The food? Was cold, soggy, and coagulated mush. If I could have paid nothing I would have. The entirety of the birthday was brought down by the lack of service and ambiance. This isn't the first time something was shifty, last time I got over charged and this time it was nothing short of a tire fire. Everyone at the table felt the uncomfortable atmosphere the waitress provided and personally, the manager was not positioned for her redeeming qualities either. Do better and be better people.
