My husband and I dined here on June 1, 2026. Our bill totaled $79.32, and we left a $12 tip. We arrived around 7:14 p.m. At the time, the restaurant did not appear very busy, with fewer than 20 tables occupied.
When we arrived, we stood reviewing the menus for several minutes before a waitress approached and told us someone would seat us within five minutes. A few minutes later, another waitress came to seat us but became engaged in a conversation with two elderly women seated at the table in front of us.
The women were expressing concerns that they had not seen their server for approximately 30 minutes. The waitress explained that their original server had left for the day without informing them or introducing the person taking over their table. What surprised me was the waitress's response after listening to their concerns. She said, "What do you want? I wasn't the person helping you, and I don't know what you ordered." The women explained that they were still waiting on items from their order and wanted them so they could leave. After waiting a few more minutes, they got up to find someone to help them with a to-go box and their missing items.
My husband and I looked at each other, and I commented that I hoped we would not experience the same issues.
After assisting the women, the waitress came to our table and took our order, which was another seven-minute wait. She then asked if we would like water, and we said yes. The water and silverware arrived about five minutes later.
Throughout the evening, the staff appeared unhappy and disengaged. Looking around the restaurant, I noticed that several employees seemed unusually downcast. I even commented to my husband that it looked as though someone may have quit, been fired, or that the restaurant was severely understaffed.
We ordered our food and drinks at the same time. About 15 minutes later, I noticed the bartender preparing my drinks, but they were not delivered to our table for another 10 minutes. What really surprised me was that the server who brought my "Pretty in Pink" drinks carried them on a visibly dirty serving tray. I looked at him and then at the tray, expecting him to remove it, but he did not. I showed my husband and took a photo. The tray was dirty enough that I immediately removed my drinks from it. The condition of the tray is clearly visible in the photo I took.
Approximately 15 minutes later, my husband became frustrated because his onion ring appetizer had still not arrived, and he had not eaten all day. He asked about it, and the waitress quickly retrieved it and brought it to the table. He noted that the onion rings were hot, suggesting they had been ready but not delivered.
I ordered the ribs with cheesy mashed potatoes and cheesy broccoli. Unfortunately, the meal was very disappointing. The ribs were dry and cold, with some burnt pieces. The mashed potatoes, despite being described as cheesy, appeared to have little or no cheese and were cold. The broccoli was warm, overly salty, and also lacked the advertised cheese. Overall, the meal looked and tasted as though it had been sitting for an extended period before being served.
After our food arrived, the waitress passed our table several times but never checked on us or asked whether we needed anything else. I even made eye contact with her to provide an opportunity for a follow-up, but none came. At that point, we decided not to raise our concerns during the meal and instead planned to leave feedback after requesting the check.
I had high hopes for this restaurant, but the experience was a major disappointment. In my opinion, management should consider evaluating both customer service and kitchen operations. An anonymous visit by management or a quality-control review could help identify training opportunities. The kitchen may need additional support to ensure food is served promptly and at the proper temperature, while some staff members could benefit from customer service retraining.
Despite our experience, we paid our bill and left a tip because we did not know what challenges the staff may have been facing behind the scenes. However, we adjusted the tip to reflect the overall quality of the service and dining experience.
This restaurant has the potential to be a fun, welcoming place to enjoy a meal or a drink. Unfortunately, our visit fell far short of those expectations. I own a home behind this place and should walk over and get a job to show them how to improve service. I win awards for great customer service all the time in my full-time job and this place fell flat but I say, help them get better and let them know in writing. Sending positive thoughts they will turn it around. read more
