I came here Monday with my mom and grandma. They have a deal where a burger and fries is $10.49 for lunch and you also get 6 free boneless wings when you spend $10. However, it is only one per check on the free wings. The burger was huge and it was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of fries and the bbq boneless wings were very good. My mom and grandma both enjoyed the fiesta lime chicken lunch special. They also had garlic Parmesan wings. The service was a little slow, but they were very busy because it was Veterans Day. Social distancing is required. The restaurant is clean, employees are nice, and we sat down quickly. I went to the gym across the street, so my husband and I decided to eat dinner here. I wanted salmon, so I had double broccoli, grilled salmon, and strawberry lemonade. My husband ordered wings and pretzels. He always order that, since he love Applebee's wings and pretzels. I like this Applebee's. The food is always decent. I got the new grilled onion and mushroom burger with 5 wings for a dollar. The wings were dry. It's better than that POS Thyme Craft Kitchen. The duck there was so fuckin shitty it tasted like my co worker rubbed his balls on it.

Don't know how the food would have been we didn't stick around to wait any longer for it. We waited over 30 minutes for a side order of broccoli and side order mashed potatoes and chicken tenders. We ordered things that would be quick because we already ordered for my 2 year old that was rambunctious. When we asked for the check the manager came to the table and told us it would be another ten minutes to make it. Called the Peru IL store at 9:48pm to place an order was told the restaurant closed at 10 and they couldn't place the order! Asked to speak to a manager and was hung up on at that time! Busy as hell here on a Sat night...clearly indicicative of the lack of dining options in the area. Kudos for the fellow managing the que....he said a 15 minute wait ant it was nine minutes exactly. Now for the main event... I expected a higher quality beef in a ten dollar hamburger, and fresher, plentiful toppings. I have had better beef st a Wendy's. As the photo indicates, the bun was burned around the edges and I had to tear off the burned parts to eat it. The middle of the bun was sopping with butter or more likely, veggie oil. I had a bit of iceberg, three discs of pickle, a thin, sorry pale slice of tomato and two..count em....two rings of onion...not two slices...not even one slice...two hard exterior rings of a single onion slice. I got cole slaw instead of fries, but had some of my grand daughter's fries and they were under cooked. My spouse added a sleaser salad and it was very good with high quality, crisp romaine and fresh shaved parm; it was best in show, but I wish it had a boiled egg and some tomato. In fairness it was supposed to come with rye croutons, but she is on the crazy atkins die-et. The chicken strips were real chicken tenders, but not fresh, but frozen. My wife had steak with shrimp parm and she said it was cooked perfectly. I was so upset with my ten dollar burger that I didnt even try her steak. Should have just stayed home clearly this is good for the area....but then again it is the middle if the midwest where you just cannot get good fresh beef and it is sooooo expensive! Just an average place in all aspects. Ordered a loaded baked potato and Got about a teaspoon of cheese. I joked the kitchen must've ran out of cheese. Later the manager came by and asked how it was and I said did you run out of cheese in the kitchen and she confirmed they were low. Altho seems negatives abound... my family & myself alone have frequented Applebee's often for years.. IF STEAK isn't cooked right, immediately remedied.. admittedly have had few bouts ofperson's meal missing being brought out, usually my son's from out of state, but remedied in several ways... Greg & Brian have always gone out of their way to make our visit good & complete. My people come from all over to eat with me there. We ALL enjoy the food & will go there each & every time. Anthony has been our favorite waiter! And for the record , the prices ARE reasonable.. ALSO. only have eaten at few other places over time here & in Ottawa & in burbs but sure could have had complaints on both service & food! read more

I ate at your Peru, Il resturant on 10-06-12, Your greeter was efficient, I ordered the riblet with red potato as a side dish, The food was medium warm. This is my favorite dish. If I could give negative stars on this place... Ordered appetizers, French onion soup and steak nachos. "Do you want pico and jalapeño on that"? Yes. Comes to the table 10 minutes before the soup, with neither on them. The waitress says " I'll bring your soup but I'm waiting for a clean spoon for it" Are you kidding me?! Invest in a few soup spoons Applebee's!! Needless to say, the soup arrived with my entree, still no spoon to eat it. The rest of the meal was so ridiculous I couldn't help but laugh. We walked in and the manager was up front and was very snoty to begin with. Sat down for over 10 minutes before a waitress even came to get a drink order. I had ordered one of the "three course meals" which includes an appetizer and a salad. My wife ordered an appetizer, four kids all ordered from the kids menu. After over an hour, never receiving any drink refills on drinks, which for my wife and I would have been water, the table behind us recieved their appetizers after only having been seated for 15 minutes, while we still sat with just our empty cups. As we walked out after never getting food, a waitress we passed on the way out told us "have a good night". We ended up just going to Arby's at almost 9pm! Dinner at Applebee's was special tonight because it was with my youngest daughter "just because. " Applebee's is one of her favorite places. I was very pleased with the service by Lainey... she was very pleasant and accommodating. The other staff and managers seemed engaged as well. The food was their typical good quality with good flavor and presentation. The shooter desserts were better and larger than I was expecting. We purchased raffle tickets to benefit a local girl through make a wish foundation, which is a nice gesture for a local business to be part of. I called for carry out today. The young lady who took my order had horrible phone skills. Instead of saying, "Excuse me, could you repeat that?" , she honked, "What?!?" at me, and seemed impatient when I asked questions. The food was terrible. My daughter's mini burgers were stuffed into a small carry out container and there was only about 10 fries in the container. The buns were soggy and broken, and burnt. My chicken was undercooked...I mean pink, in the thickest part and it was charred on the outside. The cheese sticks were ice cold and they gave about two tablespoons of sauce for the entire order!
