Staying at Starved Rock Lodge with my minions and 12 yo pipes up with "what's for dinner?" After checking on site options (plentiful) they still wanted Pizza. Leap into the Yelp-scape for something close but not a chain. Boom CortiLeno's pops up. 10" Pie for $12? We are all in. Walked in about 6pm Monday night quiet. Great bartender took order of one extra pepperoni sans cheese and one traditional pepperoni and cheese. "I'll be back in 20. Should I pay before I leave? No thats fine." Back 20 mins later a bit more crowded and pizzas ready to go. Ambience of space is not my vibe because I dislike the electronic gaming. Thats a me thing On way out chef/owner/dude.."I killed that one pizza with pepperoni." He did indeed. Happiness all around. Great sauce, amazing crust (soft so if you want crispy give them an alert) perfect amount of cheese and toppings. Great job! read more

The food is 5 stars. The service is 5 stars. The ambiance with a cool sports bar vibe is 5 stars. My wife and I dined in at the bar on a Monday afternoon. The bartender provided good service! I ordered a cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese with fries. My wife ordered a cheeseburger with American cheese and fries. My wife had a sprite to drink and I had a water. The soda is 1 dollar!! Both our burgers were fantastic, tasty, and juicy! The burgers are 1/2 lb burgers! The frozen fries here are awesome ! We loved our lunch and we will be back! read more

We enjoyed out first meal there so much, we went back a second night! We we're only in town for 2 nights and both nights we hit up CortiLeno's. This is a very local unassuming place - which makes it so nice. No airs or pretensions here. It's a place by the locals and for the locals, but had no issue with us out-of-towers visit it as well. It's a typical American Midwestern sports bar/pub, serves a number of beers on tap, and with a decent selection bottled. Food was perfectly fine fir the price. Don't go there expecting fine dining, go there because you want to help support a local establishment for the locals. read more

We would've given this establishment a 3.5 rating if possible, but we rounded up due to the female employee working very hard to serve everyone (short staffed) and the reasonable pricing. We grabbed our table outside and enjoyed the 80 degree summer evening as we waited for our meals. The local police officer driving by in his police truck honking at us and some locals was entertaining. Meal breakdown: Our burgers were good. Nice sized beef pattys but nothing exceptional overall. We tried the mushroom swiss and cheddar bacon burgers. The fries were above average. The taco salads were also in the 3 to 3.5 star range. Nice sized salads with good sized portions of diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, etc. The seasoned ground beef was basic. I would recommend this joint if you're looking for reasonably priced tavern fare. Don't set the bar too high and you'll likely come away content. I can coming here just for a drink. Again, our server (the only staff serving meals and poring drinks) was great. She was awesome. Decent visit overall. read more

My husband and I were camping near by and went here for dinner! The service was wonderful and we got great recommendations for what to order. Our food was hot, quick, and fresh. Every single item we ordered was delicious, would absolutely recommend. We're all the way from Nebraska and if we're ever near by again, we will make it a point to stop here again, especially for the beef roll. read more

A group of 9 had dinner. It took over an hour and 15 minutes for everyone to get their food, it came out in 3 separate deliveries. The waitress was very good. To my knowledge, the pizzas, beef roll, chicken strips, wings, and cheese curds were very good. Those having fish were not impressed with the flavor and the fish was cold while the fries were hot. We were in a back room and it was absolutely freezing. Not sure if there were any heat vents in that area. read more

We were visiting the area and stopped at this pub. We thought the food was excellent, considering we were having "bar food." We ordered hamburgers and fries. They were well cooked and very tasty. The portions were generous. The service was good. And the prices were low compared to what we are used to, probably because it was in a small town. We won't go back, because we live too far away, but we urge others to go there. read more
