The food is always great. Out of the around a hundred times I have gone it never gets bad. The salad bar also has plenty of options. And for someone that always orders the same thing, it is always amazing. The only complaint it's the parking is kinda bad as it is lots of people crammed into one spot so you have to be going very slow around this area. read more

A neat little place literally in middle of cornfields. This is a place where the farmers in Wedron frequent because there isn't anywhere else to eat in the area. A friend told me about this so I took mom to lunch. It is a tiny little building and not much to it. There is a big salad bar to the side which I hear is really good. We were just getting lunch and didn't want salad but it looks great. The dinner menu has grilled fish and shrimp so I may venture back sometime. There wasn't much in terms of vegetarian or fish other than salad or a fried fish sandwich. I got the fish sandwich and it was battered and fried. Not that amazing but my mom loved her cheeseburger so that's all that matters. We had super friendly service also. read more

Has the look and feel of a roadside tavern. Parking and exterior inviting for what I'd say is a very cozy experience. I suggest reservations for dinner as seating is limited. Met by a very positive and warm hostess. Specials tonight were ribs and fried chicken. Full menu also. I went with the 1/2 fried chicken. Salad bar was intense. Fresh, chilled, huge variety. If that does not entice you, perhaps stay away. Started with a perfect Manhattan and an app of large fried mushrooms. I am returning here solely based on these alone. Served HOT, crisp, and bountiful. My fried chicken served the same. This place is a gem. Well worth the meandering road to get to, but I have traveled worse. Thanks Yelp for helping us find this dynamite spot for dinner since we're staying nearby and don't live in the area. This place was great. Essentially, it's a bar, but they have a full dinner menu that is not "bar food" and a section of seating for mealtime patrons. In our foursome, one person chose the salad bar (great) , two had burgers (yum), and I had chicken tenders and fries (delish!). Our waitress was DeAnne and she took really good care of us. The food was piping hot (I hate food that has been under heat lamps) and she brought me cocktail sauce (homemade) upon special request-it's what I like on chicken tenders. The regulars at the bar turned to look when we walked in, because we aren't from here, but everyone was really chill, we were treated so friendly and had a great time. Also, the name of this place is great. Ask about the T-shirt that says "Honey, I'm going to the office". My husband bought one so he can wear their slogan back home. Hard to find, tough to beat. Previous reviews give you the nuts and bolts, so I'll confirm: Great food, esp the tenderloin, smiling friendly service, clean, inviting. we were there on a sunday afternoon, and it was full. Luckily we found a table but nest time I'm making a reservation! They are one of the highest rated places for breaded pork tenderloin in the state, and they've earned it. I'm sure the locals at the bar are getting used to seeing strangers wander in. read more

Great local owned place for lunch or dinner. We ordered the Broiled Cod with baked potato served with butter and sour cream, and a 10oz Ribeye cooked to a perfect medium rare with sautéed mushrooms and baked potato also with butter and sour cream. Dinner included their salad bar (try their house garlic dressing it's excellent!). Soup of the day was Homemade Stuffed Pepper Soup. The service was as good as the food. This place has been around a long time. It's out in the country, but definitely worth the drive to LaSalle County. read more

This place gets an extra star for the service. We had a server named Jose I think who was not only attentive but he was also a blast. We came here because friends had recommended we check this little local place out. So glad we did. Good food, my husband and I had steaks, the salad bar was decent, drinks were strong and service was good. They have good drink specials too. I found this place on Yelp. It is out of the way and nothing fancy from the outside.But the parking lot was overflowing on a Saturday night. We didn't have a reservation, but only had to wait about 15 minutes. The place was filled with locals! My ribeye and my husband's fried chicken were both excellent. Great little soup /salad bar. Took the advice of fellow Yelpers and made a reservation on a Sunday at 4pm. There were already a few tables eating when we arrived so that was a good sign. Our waitress, Debbie, was fantastic! She was great from start to finish. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer...highly recommended. One of our party of 5 members ordered the $1 wings on special. Wow, did they look good ( huge ). Hubs ordered the prime rib sandwich special with skinny fries, and he said it was amazing! Mom and I ordered the mixed fried chicken and agreed it's one of the best we've had. Dad ordered a burger and loved it! Soup was delicious ( goulash). And, the salad bar was very good. The house dressing is definitely homemade and delicious. The gentleman who oversaw the salad bar kept coming out every 5 minutes to replenish and clean...impressive. The only complaint would be the well water. But, I ordered an Arnold Palmer so that's not an issue lol. We will absolutely be back. I do recommend reservations on a Sunday. It was packed by the time we started eating. read more

Due to the amount of parking space this place does not have, my daughter and I were put in danger of being run off the road after driving past this buisness. They have cars lining the road on the enge lines constantly. We were driving past past "riding the center line mind you so not to put anyone opening a door in danger on a 55mph road, when a white sedan creeps out. Doesnt look and forces me off the opposite side of the road as to not hit them. This type of parking situation should not be tolerated by the public. Its pathetic, dangerous, and irresponsible of the owners of this buisness to not improve their parking situation. read more

This cozy place has great food and great atmosphere! Had the prime rib and it was very well seasoned. It came with a really delicious but small salad bar. Definitely try their pea salad, but the potato salad was bland. I enjoyed their spicy Bloody Mary, it comes with beef jerky, an olive and a pickle and had great flavor! The only negative we experienced was the kitchen took a long time to make the food, but it was clearly related to the place being jam packed. If you want to visit on a Saturday, definitely make reservations, but don't expect to be seated right on time. read more

What I find appealing about this restaurant is the ambience and welcoming nature of the staff here. We came on a Saturday night and it was packed. One could hardly find a parking spot and when you entered the restaurant, hardly any room to move - but it was warm and welcoming. Despite being packed, it wasn't so loud you couldnt talk with your company. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan with Tortellini. I thought the CP was probably the best I ever had. The rich, thick coating of the CP had rich, buttery flavor and the chicken was tender. The tortellini's were good, but the sauce seemed overly salty. To each their own. Days later, the leftover food of tortellini's - tastes great! I got the twice baked potato and this was a gem of a side item to order. Tasted fresh and overflowed with flavor. The stealer of the show here is their salad bar. Fresh ingredients for a solid salad experience. The have chopped up egg, cheeses as well as various other salads. I loved their pea salad but found their potato salad to lack any real flavor. They also had a soup alongside their salad bar which is rare and shows they care to give theri customer the best. Service provided by the server and the host was great. I really thought the host was superwoman here bc she kept every table pleased and was impressed with her professionalism. Prices are great for a lot of food. You may want to make a reservation here before coming. Cant wait to sample more of their menu next time. Photos to come. read more

Came here on a random Saturday night and were LUCKY they had a table top open, make sure you make a reservation for a Saturday night. I had the prime rib and husband had a NY garlic strip.
