Dingy, lackluster diner attached to a gas station. Pretty bland looking, which also describes the food. Waitstaff is cheerful, attentive and on the ball. Menus has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Ordered a Gypsy skillet -- ham, cheddar, mushrooms, onions and peppers -- with two eggs over medium and "toast." No options on the bread. Asked for American fries, crispy, which did not happen. The veggies were wet and hot, but not seasoned. Eggs were perfect. On the plus side, the prices are fair and the wifi is good. Apparently the garlic parm chicken tenders are the thing to get; made in house, they looked pretty epic! Love this place. Awesome food and service. The waiter was very kind, attentive, and consistent. He knows what you want to drink when you come in there often. I come here every Thursday because of the ribs or farmer steak but I go there in the mornings because the breakfast is so good and my favorite server is there. Very disappointed. Their Covid protocol was useless. Masks apparently not required as some of their servers wore a mask and others didn't. We didn't appreciate getting one of those servers who chose not to wear a mask and she was in our faces. The place is huge yet they allow people to sit basically anywhere they want to without any thought of how close together people are. We have been to other restaurants, much smaller, in which not only do they space out the seating arrangements but they go so far to have a sign on one table that says do not sit here with the next table saying table sanitized. Plus, all of the servers wore a mask as did the cooks. We will give them our business. I would have only given a 1 star but the food was good. read more

The place seemed cleaned and my friend raved about the breakfast. I think he is easily pleased with any food. Lol Its definitely a small town little truck stop dinner. He got some kind of skillet breakfast and I got a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg. The food was good. Nothing mind blowing. But it wasnt awful. I'd stay away from the house ranch. Not my cup of tea. Price was fair. My only complaint is that is literally took about 30 minutes to get our food. Now maybe it was due to me getting a cheeseburger at 8am or maybe it was because there seemed to only be one cook. But good lord, I've been to places busier and have gotten my food faster. Everyone seemed to have their food aside from us. But the waitress was friendly and kept coming around making sure everything was good and we didn't need anything. Probably won't go back. My first time eating at this restaurant yesterday - my hubby and I stopped here after a wedding at about 1 AM. I had the BLT club with chicken bowtie soup, and he had berry banana crepes. I'll admit that my expectations weren't high, but the service and quality blew me away. We both really enjoyed our food, and would eat there again while passing through this area. I am very picky about restaurants, and the promptness of our server was just as good as if it was lunch rush. Stopped here on a whim, after striking out trying to go to a state park and another place that we had seen on the way. Much to our delight, the Cobb salad that we ordered was delicious! The kitchen even split it in half for us even split in half, each of us ate only half of that and have enough for another meal that we brought home. We pass by this restaurant on our way to and from our son's house, always say we want to stop. Being a truck driver, although he's never tried it, our son had heard that the food was good. I'm not sure if they were under new owners or what but I don't ever intend to go back there again. We stopped for lunch and all I wanted was soup and sandwich. The waitress was very friendly and we chose the special with cheesy broccoli soup...yuk!!! The cheese had a strange color to begin with but also a powdery artificial taste and although the waitress said the broccoli was fresh I think it had been sitting in the fridge too long. She very politely exchanged it for the chicken noodle soup when I told her I didn't care for it. That soup was not much better but I brought that home with me and was able to "doctor it up". My sandwich was not bad but my husband ordered the "Italian" beef...nothing Italian about it. The beef also had a flavor like it had been sitting in the fridge too long and the au jus had absolutely no flavor but we brought that home to "doctor it up" too. Most truck stops have really good food and I usually like to give a restaurant at least a second chance before giving up on them but not this one! read more
