Pulled in off from a raining highway for some food. Extensive menu, got spaghetti with meat sauce, which came with garlic bread and side salad. Pretty good food, even late at night. Priced right and generous portions. Good roadside diner. In a gas station rest stop. read more

Restaurant inside the Shell truck stop at exit 93, I80, Ottawa, IL. Really neat place to stop on your way by. Service is always fast and friendly, food is top-notch and the restaurant is very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The food is good and a good value Today I had the Chicken Parm and a salad. The chicken Parm was great! Nice grilled chicken on top of a generous portion of spaghetti, smothered in a nice thick, robust sauce, and mozzarella cheese and served garlic bread. read more

This is a very comfortable, clean restaurant. The wait staff is wonderful. If you've been there once, they'll remember you the next time. Their breakfast is wondeful any time of the day. My dad loves liver and onions and walleye. Both are very good, reasonably priced, and SO MUCH FOOD! All the dinners come with soup or a salad and come with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Give it a try! read more

This is a very convenient location right off the interstate. It is clean but a bit older and worn. Service was above average and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was a very good breakfast. read more

Nice selection, solid food and amazing service. We appreciate the large portions and the fresh food.

Dingy, lackluster diner attached to a gas station. Pretty bland looking, which also describes the food. Waitstaff is cheerful, attentive and on the ball. Menus has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Ordered a Gypsy skillet -- ham, cheddar, mushrooms, onions and peppers -- with two eggs over medium and "toast." No options on the bread. Asked for American fries, crispy, which did not happen. The veggies were wet and hot, but not seasoned. Eggs were perfect. On the plus side, the prices are fair and the wifi is good. Apparently the garlic parm chicken tenders are the thing to get; made in house, they looked pretty epic! This is a good second or third dining option, if your first choices are too busy. I won't be in a hurry to come back. read more

First time there today for dinner. Really nice and clean inside. Staff was nice. Our server was Jayna ( I think that's what she said) was spot on and very friendly. I had the meatloaf dinner, which is made there, and hubby had veal parmesan. Both were really good and big portions. Hubby had the chicken and rice soup also and he said it was excellent. Place got busy and I can see why. Good food, clean place and good staff. Keep up the good work!! read more

When traveling to Iowa after a flight, and searching for a pork tenderloin sandwich, The New Oasis popped up on a Google search. What a delightful surprise! The portions are plentiful and flavorful. The homemade soups are worth a second trip, which we did on our return east. Service is friendly and a quick! Highly recommend! read more

Good food and really nice staff. Food is hot and well seasoned. Sweet tea is phenomenal.

Great stop for breakfast! Friendly staff & fast service. Everything we ordered was delicious! The skillets were lacking a little flavor but with a little added salt and pepper it was just right. We will definitely be coming again! read more

Love this place. Awesome food and service. The waiter was very kind, attentive, and consistent. He knows what you want to drink when you come in there often. I come here every Thursday because of the ribs or farmer steak but I go there in the mornings because the breakfast is so good and my favorite server is there. You definitely can't miss this place because it's off of I-80 and Route 71. Come on down and try it! read more

Very disappointed. Their Covid protocol was useless. Masks apparently not required as some of their servers wore a mask and others didn't. We didn't appreciate getting one of those servers who chose not to wear a mask and she was in our faces. The place is huge yet they allow people to sit basically anywhere they want to without any thought of how close together people are. We have been to other restaurants, much smaller, in which not only do they space out the seating arrangements but they go so far to have a sign on one table that says do not sit here with the next table saying table sanitized. Plus, all of the servers wore a mask as did the cooks. We will give them our business. I would have only given a 1 star but the food was good. read more

the food is to die for especially the mozzarella sticks. the waitresses are funny and good looking. the place is clean.

The place seemed cleaned and my friend raved about the breakfast. I think he is easily pleased with any food. Lol Its definitely a small town little truck stop dinner. He got some kind of skillet breakfast and I got a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg. The food was good. Nothing mind blowing. But it wasnt awful. I'd stay away from the house ranch. Not my cup of tea. Price was fair. My only complaint is that is literally took about 30 minutes to get our food. Now maybe it was due to me getting a cheeseburger at 8am or maybe it was because there seemed to only be one cook. But good lord, I've been to places busier and have gotten my food faster. Everyone seemed to have their food aside from us. But the waitress was friendly and kept coming around making sure everything was good and we didn't need anything. Probably won't go back. But, only due to how far it is from where I live. If you're in the area and want some quick lunch that's decent for a decent price. Check it out. read more

My first time eating at this restaurant yesterday - my hubby and I stopped here after a wedding at about 1 AM. I had the BLT club with chicken bowtie soup, and he had berry banana crepes. I'll admit that my expectations weren't high, but the service and quality blew me away. We both really enjoyed our food, and would eat there again while passing through this area. I am very picky about restaurants, and the promptness of our server was just as good as if it was lunch rush. If you go in there and see a pleasant blonde lady with a pink bow and chest tattoo, she will take very good care of you. read more

The Oasis is an excellent place for the family to go to eat. there service prompt the food comes out quickly. they have a nice selection for their menu. even serve grits which very few places in the area will even try. they have a number of daily specials. Good locally owned restaurant. Staff very nice. Good food. Open 24 hours. Inside a Shell gas station.

Stopped here on a whim, after striking out trying to go to a state park and another place that we had seen on the way. Much to our delight, the Cobb salad that we ordered was delicious! The kitchen even split it in half for us even split in half, each of us ate only half of that and have enough for another meal that we brought home. I rarely have had a cobb salad so full of chicken, bacon, avocado, etc. It was really delicious. And, the service was outstanding. read more
