As of late, I've become quite the fan of Applebee's, since they have or had, some super deals on some tasty food. The latest promotion was this Big Easy menu, sort of a take on Cajun Now Orleans themed food. My super fave dish, the Cajun sauced chicken with andouille sausage over penne pasta with a nice mix of green and red bell peppers and onion was my go to dish, priced at just $11.99. Now that I guess that promo had ended, the same dish is now $18.00! Gezees that's a big ass price hike. Not worth $18 in my book! Some of the other items on the former menu didn't go up, but were kinda pricey already, like the sizzling shrimp and chicken with mashed potatoes at around $18.50. It's still the same price. All I can say is the saving grace is the Really Big Meal Deal is still available, though, not listed on the table menu. You have to ask for it. I got that $9.99 deal with the big bacon cheeseburger and endless fries along with a refillable drink. That's a deal compared to the rest of the menu. My friend had a new dish called the Tex Mex bowl with shrimp and chicken. That was around $15.50 ... not super bargain, but I guess those are all gone these days. My friend actually like that dish a lot. My burger was fantastic as usual, lots of bacon and cheese and a decent sized patty. I even got some fries extra to go. Refilled my drink too. Applebee's is not quite the super bargain deal it once was, but at least they still have the 1/2 off happy hour appetizers from 3pm - 6pm everyday, not just weekdays! read more

Visited October 21st..see receipt as always. While visiting in Oroville I like to stop in here for appetizers or early dinner. They have a trio appetizer advertised for under 15 bucks and I ordered fried pickles ( new on menu)..boneless chicken wings and chicken wonton tacos. You also get 3 sauces with it. Although the portions are smaller it is still plenty for 2 people to share. I never tried a fried pickle fry but they were pretty good! Happy hour starts at 3 pm and I was able to get a glass of wine and my friend got a margarita. Its always a fun place to go to in a relaxed atmosphere! Tanya and Ginger and Ally are the best! Ps. They will be remodeling for about 6 weeks starting this sunday to incorporate IHOP as their partner ( will be able to serve breakfast as well). Happy times! read more

My family and I came in on a Saturday evening. Not quite a full house but the server took over 20 minutes to bring water and another 20 to get the food ordered. They did not get us any forks and knives and we had to go to the counter to get them. When another server came with the utensils, they were CONFUSED as to why we needed utensils when we had not gotten any yet. Wont be returning. read more

I got there a lower specials because one time by wendy there and it was like fifty bucks just for For breakfast for 2 people, but it was my birthday so I did it. Went for my dad's 76 birthday. There were 5 of us. They tried to sit us at a table that the floor under the table was atrocious. I asked for it to be cleaned before we put our feet down there. She swept out fries,tissues,a baby snot bulb sucker,crayons and food. We ordered and we sat there from 11:45 am and at 12:50 asked for the second time where our appetizers and food were. She walked back to the kitchen and 1:13 pm we walked out!!! Such a poor experience for such a great celebration of 76 years for my dad!! The location is neutral and SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. Was in Oroville today with the misses to stop by our storage unit and decided to stop by here for breakfast and a Bloody Mary. We got seated and didn't get any waters and had to ask for them. It took another 15 minutes for someone to take our order. We ordered 2 bloodies and 2 "bacon sensation" omelettes and it took them so long to make our drinks that they literally showed up with our food. Mind you, the place was not busy by any means. We've both had upset stomachs and diarrhea since an hour after eating there. Looking through other reviews, I see the effects we have from the food seems to be a thing. They were also incredibly overpriced for what we got. Never again. Next time we're in town and want breakfast, we'll go to Ethan's. Better food, excellent service, and no diarrhea. read more

We decided to try the 15.99 special shrimp, chicken strips and riblets ayce. It was a joke. They give you 6 shrimp at a time and 2 riblets strips only came out once. They were incredibly dry and hard to get through the breading. Fries never came out again after first plate.and with the shrimp only wait for 10 minutes for every 6 after first order We ate late because of heat but probably should have gone earlier because we hit late happy hour so alot of drinks coming out but food service sucked ambiance same as all the other Applebee's it's a chain read more

Overall, the services wasn't bad. However, the quality of the food was not the best. It was very greasy and it was just really not done properly. The ambient was nice family oriented with children. They average Applebee's type of crowd. I will not come back here for dinner. read more

I recently visited this Applebee's location two nights in a row on 8/9 & 8/10/23. I took advantage of the AYCE Boneless Wings and Fries for $12.99. My absolute favorite wing sauces were the Classic Buffalo, Extra Hot Buffalo, and Honey BBQ. As far as the drinks, I had a $5 Tipsy Sunset Drink one night and I tried the Strawberry Banana smoothie another night. Both drinks were on point. The service was also pleasant and attentive. Well I gave them 2 tries and both times ended up walking out the first time that sat us down and never came back and opon leaving that thanked us for coming, the second time we came in it took for ever take order and I order a soup and wings I did not get my soup it came out after the wings when I asked why did the bring the soup out after the wings I was told that it was my responsibity to let my server know at any other places that ask you if they don't the soup always comes out first this is the first I have walked told them I was not pay for such poor service and I did not eat any of it and they could keep it I don't think this place is going to make it I just go to one of the local mom and pops that care about ther customers read more

Tried the new IHOP/Applebees since they just reopened to see, and the waitress was very rude never came to the table and we waited an hour or more for our food. I ordered a breakfast and it was the most bland and tiny tiny little sausages (the cheap ones at Walmart in the pack are bigger) I mean I've never seen a breakfast sausage so small in my life lol. everyone else's food at their table wasn't so great either and check your soda machines all our sodas were flat! read more

If I could go lower than 1 star a absolutely would! They open at 6:00 am, we got there just after 7:30 am. Place was empty except for one table with 4 people. When I say empty I mean other than the 4 at the table there was no one in sight! After calling out a few times my friend I was with went to the back and found someone who told her he was getting drinks and to seat ourselves. I watched as one worker came out with a mop bucket, a little too late place messy with unwashed table tops. Then the kicker.... adult male, not a kid, comes out holding a tray with the drinks for the table of 4, with his thumb in one of the drinks holding it on the tray!! Never saw another employee other than the guy with the mop and thumb guy. Plus thumb guy looked Ike he had just rolled out of bed and didn't bother to look in the mirror before heading into work. One time in the past we were there, waiting and waiting for our order to come out when I finally went to figure out what was taking so long and was informed that our waitress had quit. Daughter or ldwrex fiord for delivery- 3 males- ice cold. Fries weren't even warm- had to warm them not fresh and hard to chew. Ordered a plain burger they added the lettuce tomato onion, the shrimp were ice cold and no cocktail sauce. No condiments for the burger. Wings were also cold. All three of us suffered a tummy ache shortly after eating- not sure why. She doesn't live here and her Applebees in Fairfield is good- so many restaurants in oroville lack pride and taste at least decent! read more

Applebee's Oroville has new owners and they have ruined Hoppy Hour by removing certain happy hour menu items just went in today and got the bone in wings and they were over cooked so dont order the bone in wings and forget Happy Hour prices the new owners dont care that regulars are there for the Happy Hour prices. the new owners greed will cause the demise of Applebee's Oroville. Hopefully someone opens a new family restaurant where the owners appreciate the patronage of local regulars that cooks their wings that are worth eating. He took forever to get to our table, the food took forever to be delivered and then, like a ghost in the night, he was gone. I noticed him sometime later bartending a full bar. Short staffed?
