Sad, small, chicken tenders with soggy waffle fries.

I could've made better food at home.. and to preface, I didn't dine at this Applebees, I ordered food online from this Applebees for my girlfriend and I and I'm very disappointed with the food. 16 dollars for 3 chicken tenders the size of a kids finger. Quite literally the smallest chicken tenders. and soggy waffle fries. If my girlfriend weren't as hungry as she was I would've drove back and returned the food. Not to mention I also ordered a Tex Mex shrimp bowl and it was also cold. Safe to say I can't trust Applebees after this and won't be eating there again.

I wouldn't order the steak from here.. it's this big no mash potato's or cripys onions

    Half apps.

Im unpleased with this Applebee's. This has been not once BUT TWICE... Everytime I come to get 1/2 apps there is always an issue. Online it states chicken wonton tacos are a part of 1/2 apps and I have gotten it before. Brett states it's not. You think if you were unsure you would ask a manager instead of arguing? This was my final straw with this Applebee's I will be taking my business elsewhere.

1:15 Monday afternoon not real busy. I don't get why they have it so FREAKIN COLD in here, we need jackets. I think the thermostat must be in the kitchen........ regardless of the food I won't be back unless I have a winter jacket. Food was ok but OMG $1 more for sour cream.

Imagine you're at home on a rainy Wednesday evening. The clouds are bleak like your mood, so you…read moredon't really feel like cooking. You insouciantly scroll through your Yelp feed, not particularly sure what you have an appetite for because making decisions is about as difficult as adulting. This, ladies and gentlemen, is my wife to a T. Although, she highlighted this place to me and I was instantly hooked - so, I can't complain too much. Now, it isn't clear to us how long this place has been in our midst. But judging from the lack of photos, I'm willing to bet that it's either not yet well known enough or it's a fairly new place. In any case, O'Brien's Sports Bar deserves far more recognition than it's getting at the time of me reviewing this. I've been to plenty of Irish pubs. Some good, some rather meh. I've only tried one meal so far. But based on that, plus the copious menu selection, I can already tell you O'Brien's is possibly the best Irish pub I've tried food from in a long while. I was quite disappointed when they permanently closed down Waxy O'Connor's in Lexington. But I believe O'Brien's will be a more than suitable replacement to satisfy my yearning for Irish cuisine. So, as the intro infers, we ordered take-away via DoorDash, of all things. Which implores me to bring up this caveat: there's a vast difference between ordering from DoorDash versus what's actually available on the O'Brien's menu via their website. Basically, DoorDash represents a severely gutted version of their menu, in my opinion. Certain items, you just can't order from DoorDash...for SOME reason. A few examples include: the seafood chowder, chicken marsala, and pretty much any burger that's more complex than your traditional cheese burger. Not really a ding against the restaurant itself. I'm just ranting here to state that I really hate DoorDash sometimes. They're as overpriced as they are underequipped. /endrant Anywho, I kept things simple this evening and tried the fish n' chips. Upfront, I gotta tell ya....they give you a shitload of fish! Like...at least 10 to 12 ounces (or 6 huge nuggets), if I had to guess. And whilst the fish itself was delicious and meaty, the batter could have benefited from some type of seasoning. Let's just say...this is the type of fish that requires tartar sauce. Oh, speaking of which.. I didn't get any tartar sauce with my order. No idea why. But it's a good thing we always keep some at the house (and it's the fancy kind, too). Now, their chips are like nothing I've ever seen. The best way I could describe them is....well seasoned boomerang fries. Hey, I don't care WHAT shape they are, so long as they're tasty as hell! Overall, the dish gets an 8 out of 10, despite them forgetting the tartar sauce. We've already decided we'll dine in at this place apropos for a date night. I mean, based on our DoorDash experience, it seems clear to us this will be the only way to experience their complete menu. And I've already got my eyes on the aforementioned chowder, chicken marsala, and/or one of their delicious looking burgers. And then maybe, just MAYBE...we can get some more photos onto their page already. I have a feeling this rating may get adjusted upon revisit. But for now, I'm giving O'Brien's Sports Bar 4 gigantic fish nuggets with tasty boomerang fries out of 5.

The Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Caper Risotto that came with the salmon was just as exceptional as the salmon, and the street corn and real mashed potatoes that came with my wife's steak tips were also delicious, and of course the steak tips are always good! We have both been talking about our meals since we left the restaurant, both meals were excellent, and the best we have ever had, not that their other meals aren't good, but these 2 plates were top notch. We also enjoyed the Arronchini Balls, would recommend them as an appetizer as well. We love O'Brien's Sports Bar, it is one of our favorite places in downtown Nashua!

The wait staff was very accommodating with our need to split the bill across multiple cards and double checked who was on which check before we were ready to pay. Our food came out reasonably quick after ordering. I had ordered the steak tips and substituted the mashed potatoes with the Parmesan fries. The fries were good by pub standards, though they either weren't recently cut or they were frozen. The broccoli was pretty overcooked and lacking seasoning. The steak itself came out cooked a perfect medium rare (as requested). The only issue with the steak is that it was lacking tenderness. Good quality steak tips should be tender when cooked medium rare and these had a few tough pieces that had to be cut around. Overall it's a reasonable amount and quality of food for the price paid. Service was great and the restaurant was quiet, clean and enjoyable to be in.

The place is order/pick-up at the counter or eat-in, scan QR code for menu. There is a casual dining room to the right and a full service bar/lounge to the far right. There are flatscreen TVs in the dining room and lounge showing sports. I stopped by Zo's Place in Manchester on opening day since I wanted a Northshore roast beef sandwich and pasta for takeout. The place was not too busy when I arrived here around 3pm. After scanning the menu, I quickly realized that the Nashua and Manchester locations operate on different POS systems and the pricing is generally lower in Nashua. I ordered a Eggplant with Spaghetti ($13.99 plus tax) and a Jr Roast Beef ($6.49 special) with cheese (add $1.00), horseradish, mayo and James River BBQ sauce. My order was all set to go in about 12 minutes. I raced home to enjoy the food. The Jr Roast Beef was a bit messy from being wrapped, a decent mound of soft medium well roast beef topped with an American cheese slice and smothered with mayo, horseradish, spicy James River BBQ sauce between a toasted brioche bun. I know some folks would prefer the roast beef bloody rare, but I was all good with the medium well roast beef. The pasta was packed in a foil container with soft spaghetti, thick marinara sauce and small pieces of thin breaded eggplant. The baked garlic toast was buttery sub roll halves. The owner was actually in the building. They did a great job making this place feel inviting and relaxed. I would definitely come back again to order one of their hot subs and a specialty pizza.
