I will miss ordering the Peking Spaghetti from Grand China, which I will have to get at Meihoo up the road. The place was converted/renovated inside into one large room comprised of 20 gaming tables, 14 flatscreen TVs (different sizes), a full long bar with soft back high chair seating and four small high top tables near the front.
The food menu was streamlined offering American pub fare and a limited selection of Chinese food including such things as chicken tenders, flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, jumbo hot dogs, Chinese style wings, crab rangoons, General Gau's chicken, Asian beef noodle soup, caesar salad, Asian salad, pad thai, lo mein, and fried rice. Desserts ($6.99) include Devonshire sweet potato maple cheesecake, and Belgian Waffle with Richardson's Ice Cream. & toppings The prices here are fair, appetizers $6.99-$10.99, flatbreads $9.99, and entrees $8.99-$13.99.
I stopped in at Lim's recently for late night food around 11:20 pm on a Sunday night. Denny's was closed for renovations, so this was my only choice in the area. The place was fairly busy with several gaming tables filled up. I was not here for the gaming, just for the food only. I took a seat at a high top table in the front of the place. There were already laminated menus at the table. They were serving only the American items (blue menu) and not the Chinese food (red menu) during late night. The bar server made her rounds from the gaming tables and took my food order.
I ordered the Asian Tacos ($6.99) and the Dealer's choice Steak & Pepper Wrap ($10.99). The food came out in about 15 minutes after ordering. The 2 Asian Tacos were filled up with marinated grilled chicken, rice noodles, carrots, pickled cucumber, red cabbage, cilantro, lettuce and Asian sesame sauce in a soft flour tortilla. The dill pickle spear was not salty and tasted fresh. The Wrap (cut in 2) with grilled marinated steak tips cut small, grilled red peppers, onions, mild cheddar in a grilled tomato wrap. I chose the Sweet Potato lattice cut fries which were crispy.
Overall, the food I ordered was pretty good and fresh tasting. The check was just under $20 after tax and before tip. The atmosphere here is more of a gaming palace than a sports bar. I will definitely try to get here earlier on the next visit to try out some of the food on the Chinese menu (red) and the Belgian Waffle dessert.
