We had chicken bites with dipping sauces, onion rings, burgers with fries. The burger pattys are thin and flat so only cooked one way. The meal was really good! Food was excellent actually. The atmasphere is kind of off putting- as there was "Lets Go Brandon" flag on display which is a political statement for sure. We will be eating other places and skip this one.

We were greeted by the hostess who took us to our seats. (We sat inside because it had been on and off sprinkling). Our server, Mia, was AMAZING. Sweet, professional, attentive, always had a smile and exactly what you would wish to have as your wait staff. My daughter is 18, so she got the Cos-No-Politan haha. Love the pun and she loved the drink. I got a classic margarita which was made very well. We decided on apps to share. We got the meatballs, arancini, truffle fries and calamari. The meatballs were ok, but we felt they were under seasoned and a little on the dry side, even with all the sauce. The Arancini was delicious. The truffle fries were good (we really enjoyed the garlic aoli) and they came in a cute fry box on a plate. The calamari was fantastic. It also came with fried jalapenos mixed in. I did not see note of that on the menu, so for any allergies I would note that. However, that little spice mixed with the honey they had made for a great bite and we would order this again. Afterwards, we walked down to the Sam Adams beer garden where there were fire pits, music (a live band) and a great time to be had. Overall, the place was a great dinner choice for my daughter and I to celebrate this special milestone.

As someone who enjoys rooftop bars and a well-made martini, I came in with high expectations. I…read moreeven looked over the menu beforehand and planned to order the "Dirty but Classy" martini. The experience started off great. The hostess downstairs was welcoming, friendly, and gave clear directions to the rooftop--10/10. After taking the elevator up, we were greeted by another equally warm and professional host. Another 10/10. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. We sat at the bar, and the bartender spent most of his time with his back to the guests. We waited... and waited... and waited before finally having to get his attention ourselves. That's never a good sign. I ordered the "Dirty but Classy" martini and was told they didn't have the ingredients--but they could still make it. What does that even mean? Either you have the ingredients or you don't. After a confusing back-and-forth, it became clear they couldn't make it at all, so I settled for a standard dirty martini. It was terrible. No olive oil-infused vodka. No prosciutto & Gorgonzola stuffed olives. Poorly balanced and badly mixed. If you're someone who actually enjoys martinis, you know immediately when the person behind the bar has no idea how to make one. This bartender may be handsome, but the lights were on and nobody was home. He lacked both the personality and the skill to be working behind a cocktail bar. We also ordered the wagyu dumplings. Calling the filling "wagyu" felt generous--it tasted like ordinary ground beef. Any flavor the meat might have had was completely buried under an overly sweet sauce. The wagyu certainly wasn't the star of the dish. Overall, I left more annoyed than impressed. The hosts were fantastic, but the bar experience completely overshadowed the evening. I'll probably give the place another chance because first impressions aren't always the whole story--but I'll absolutely make sure I'm sitting with a different bartender next time.

Drink was a non alcoholic Guinness. I loved and recommend this dish. Our server came back and checked on us regularly and offered dessert at the end. Now was it worth a $100 lunch after tip? Yes it is. Life is too short to not enjoy yourself. Now eat some great food.

You sit there for 30 minutes and you lose your appetite, causing the restaurant to lose money. Watched multiple people walk in and directly back out even with ample bar space. If you don't make a reservation, don't bother sitting anywhere but the bar. They have 6 hostesses on a given night and not a single one will greet you or act professional. Can't get an accurate wait time aside from "X number of people ahead of you". No communication that upper and lower level seating waits are different. They went above and beyond to make sure our group was well taken care of, which made hosting a large event effortless and enjoyable. As someone who loves authentic BBQ, I can honestly say the food made me feel like I was back in Texas. Every bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. If you're looking for a great venue for a private event, business gathering, or just an excellent place to enjoy amazing food and drinks, I highly recommend Border Brewery. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back!

Never have I had a more awful BBQ experience. Went here with my family on a Wednesday, their first…read moreday open after Father's Day the prior Sunday. Our server was a nice girl but didn't exude intelligence or personality. I don't say those things as insults, I know a lot of people like that but I don't think that was what we or most people hope for when going to pay an arm and leg for a specialty cuisine like BBQ. We ordered the BBQ sampler for $63 (1/4 lb brisket, 1/4 lb pulled pork, 1/2 rack ribs, potato chips and 2 sides) we added an extra 1/4 lb of brisket and for the sides we chose baked beans and cornbread waffles. The menu said "out of ribs" so in lieu of ribs we ordered Burnt ends which I have been in the mood for and in search of for a while (a lot of bbq places in this area of NH don't have burnt ends) but wait! They had ribs! They didn't have burnt ends... so good job keeping up to date on that menu! So, we got the ribs. The food looked okay when it came out until you looked closer. The whole meal was heavily drizzled with bbq sauce in what I assume was a last ditch effort to make it look appetizing. Usually the moist smoked meats should speak for themselves. They very likely seemed to serve us the leftover Father's Day Brisket and if not, they have really awful, dry, jerky like brisket the entirety of which literally broke apart into dry flakes the second a fork touched it. The pulled pork was also pretty bad. It was charred as if after they pulled it they threw it over an open flame or back on the smoker which isn't commonplace in bbq as it's supposed to be smoked, pulled and served nice and juicy so I assume this was also leftovers. There were sections of it that were charred so bad it was like a burnt chunk of wood that was inedible but a little more than half of the serving was edible with bbq sauce. The Ribs were actually quite good! They were juicy and fell off the bone which is key for good BBQ but they did not redeem the meal yet only added an extra star to this would-have-been 1 star review. The cornbread waffles were floppy and cold, seemed more like an undercooked eggo than a modified cornbread from a good BBQ spot. The beans were fine, nothing to write home about but not disappointing in any notable way. The chips were very good and seemed like they could have been made in house but didn't see or hear anything to confirm this and I wasn't there for chips anyway. My Wife and her Mother both ordered cocktails at $16 a piece, when my wife tried to modify the type of liquor in her cocktail she was told they were batched (pre made In large quantities) with a certain brand of liquor which is not awesome but I guess acceptable for a brewery as it's specialty is supposed to be beer, I did not try any beer as I don't drink much especially on a Wednesday so unfortunately I can't judge the place's brewery ability which also lends itself to the 2nd star. When my wife's cocktail was served the server came out with a shaker and did the performance which I thought was also weird as we had just been told the cocktails are batched so we know you just poured pre batched cocktail in a shaker and shook it. We made our feelings known about the brisket and they were nice enough to refund the extra 1/4 lb we ordered which we did not ingest. The whole meal came out to $147 and we tipped fairly as we really held nothing against the server. They take your card at the door and put a $1 hold on the card which I don't love. After the meal the whole transaction turned into 2 separate transactions for the full amount of close to $200 one of which was taken right out of my bank the other pended for THREE DAYS while my bank held the funds. They should just charge you once the meal is complete. I really question the owners ability to run a business and make smart business decisions including hiring a good Chef. I will not go here ever again and I advise others to stay away unless a change is made. I hope the owner re evaluates his business model and his seriousness to be good because as the only actual bbq place within a high traffic big retail market they really have all the reason to be great. 2 stars. If you read this and say "food costs are high so they can't afford to throw away the leftovers from Father's Day and it's hard to run a small business!" Then maybe should volunteer to be their holiday leftover eater, as the only BBQ place in Salem I'm sure they are not struggling to make it as a small business and it's absolutely unacceptable to serve 3 day old meats. Brisket should be an absolute shining staple of a BBQ restaurant and they should take it very seriously. If these meats weren't leftovers and were in fact prepared the day we dined there then this place really is 1 star and needs to fire its kitchen and get someone serious in there.

While that may appeal to some customers, it created an extremely loud environment that felt more like a bar than a restaurant. Between the amplified music, announcements, and crowd participation, it was difficult to have a normal conversation at our table. For diners looking for a quieter meal, it's worth knowing that Wednesday nights may not be the best time to visit. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening, and most of the food was good. We ordered the Caprese Salad, Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread, Grilled Chicken Pesto, and a Mango Poke Bowl. I understand there was a recent menu change, which is why my daughter decided to try the poke bowl. Unfortunately, while the ingredients seemed fresh, she felt the sauce didn't complement the dish well and threw off the overall flavor. Given the $26 price tag, that was disappointing. The pricing was another area that stood out. Most of the menu is on the higher end of casual dining, but what really caught my attention was the $5.99 charge for a bottle of San Pellegrino. Restaurant markups are expected, but nearly six dollars for bottled sparkling water felt excessive. Overall, Dreo has friendly service and some solid food options, but the combination of premium pricing, the disappointing poke bowl, and the very loud trivia-night atmosphere made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. I would consider returning on a quieter night, but I think customers should be made more aware of how loud trivia nights can be before being seated.
