I don't even know where to begin. Our waitress was horrible. We ordered our meal and appetizers. One of the appetizers came out after we were finished eating. We would have told them to take it back but it was the salad appetizer and meal combo. My husband ordered the boneless wings. It was raw. She offered to make more we declined. Could not and probably will not eat chicken wings for a long time. I had the ribs and could barely eat them after that. Probably wouldn't have eaten them anyway because they were burnt. We had to ask multiple times for more water. Instead of bringing a pitcher she brought 4 new glasses but not on a tray. Three of the glasses were up against her chest and one of them was at her armpit. We were so disgusted we couldn't help but laugh. The manager didn't even come to table after the raw appetizer and pretty much avoided us. I will never eat at an Applebee's again. read more

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. The service and food here have gone down the drain the last few years. Last time I went, it took an hour to get our food, and the place was practically empty. When we finally got our food, I had no silverware to use and it took 10 minutes longer to get that! You get what you pay for..and it's chain restaurant food. The portions got smaller from what I was used to in the past with Applebee's. The service was slow. It was post lunch time and it wasn't that packed. However, the waitress still managed to take her time (almost 30mins)getting our orders. She never checked how we were doing until she gave us the bill. We tried flagging her down but she was busy chatting with a coworker. The food was less than impressive; I had some chicken concoction that was very rubbery and dry. Let's just say if I had to choose our next dining experience, this place will be at the bottom of the list. read more

It's a pretty standard Applebees but I always get great service, probably because I tend to know my servers (mostly college students from where I teach) and we're super nice/chatty with them throughout the evening. They are super willing to swap things out to meet my dietary restrictions. We often get the cowboy burger, no bacon, no cheese, no meat (swapping in seasoned portabellos instead), add jalapenos. After placing our order and our initial waitress leaving, we basically had to order again. Our food came back messed up and had to be fixed not once but twice. Then we had extra things on our ticket, luckily the waitress caught that. It felt like a neglected atmosphere with little to no attention to detail. We sat for nearly 15 mins with the dishes neatly stacked in the middle of the table so there would be room for dessert. Which came out as a teaspoon for ice cream and a tablespoon size brownie. Then after all this, full price with little to no apology. It has been a while since I have eaten at an Applebee's and this reminds me of why. My wife and myself paid $30.67 for this kind of experience. Seems they are all about money without care for customers satisfaction. If you're looking for a place to get mediocre food, partially burned onion rings, a dessert fit for a baby and quite possible you will have to send your food back for corrections, this is your place. If you're looking for good food, good service and an enjoyable atmosphere where the staff acts like they care, please pass this place up and go somewhere else. Wonderful service! Bryant was our waiter and he was phenomenal. The food was delicious; my steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. If we lived closer we would visit more often, but will definitely make it a point to stop every time we pass through when we're traveling. The manager on duty was friendly, as well as the other staff, he made it a point to greet us like he'd know us forever when we walked in. I was surprised to see low ratings on the other reviews, things must have changed for the better. I recommend this location to anyone who's near Marshall, Texas. read more

What should we have expected when we were not greeted properly?? That should have been a cue to run. This place doesn't even deserve a star. We've been to numerous Applebee's and this was the worst thus far. The tables were barely clean. The silverware wasn't washed properly. We ordered water and alcoholic beverages. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity we finally get our waters with a bug inside and then they have the nerve to say they were out of the beverage we ordered. I'm a nice person so I decide to just order another. Great! After waiting forever! I get my drink and it's watered down. The food finally made it after an hour. Let's be clear, the place was not packed. We receive our food piece by piece. That means our sides came out much later. We requested butter for a baked potato and the waitress advised us that the cook was confused as to why one would want butter for a baked potato. Are you serious??? The food taste burnt. I lost my appetite. We had to constantly ask for straws, napkins, condiments. Basically, the service was terrible! I would not recommend, nor eat here EVER again. I don't mind tipping very well for customer service. The waitress, bless her heart. She kept saying sorry over and over. I'm thinking she saw my facial expressions. She can't be totally blamed and I will not insert her name. Oh my this place needs to get people who really wants to work and takes pride in serving people. This was totally ridiculous. Arrived and were seated at a dirty table. Asked server if he would mind wiping it down, he sighed loudly, got a washcloth and wiped part of the table down, leaving it wet under our arms. Asked for iced tea and water with light ice, he returned with two water glasses full of ice. Asked about food suggestions, couldn't answer our questions. Placed our order, still waited an additional 5 minutes before tea arrived. One meal out of the two arrived a full FIVE minutes before the second one. I had to sit looking at my food get cold until my buddy's food arrived. Asked for the unlimited refills on green beans and potatoes, was charged for both. When my buddy went outside to smoke after he ate, server came and sat at the table and started cleaning the table while I was eating. I asked if he'd like to get comfortable. He said he was just cleaning up. I asked why he couldn't clean it before we sat down, but he was able to come clean it while I was still eating. He informed me that he already yelled at the hostess for that. Wholly unprofessional, poor experience at best. Disappointed that our stop after ten hours on the road ended with service like this. read more
