THIS DAMN APPLEBEES IS RIDICULOUSLY SLOW‼ Me and my friends went in at 7:00pm and it's currently almost 10pm and we haven't received anything EXCEPT our appetizers. Our waitress is so nice and sweet but the kitchen sucks so fucking bad that it takes away from the entire pleasant experience she is trying to give us. We ordered burgers and shrimp. It already took the appetizers an hour to come out. We are highly upset. read more

Sat at the bar and the bartender was almost nonexistent. I am not sure if this was because management tasked her with other duties, or if she was just texting behind the wall. I think the former. I probably would have asked the manager, but I don't think that there was one on duty tonight. If there was a manager, I didn't see him/her. I felt like I was being rushed out, after I finished my wings my bill was slapped in front of me, however my intention was to have a few beers before going to bed. This has been the oddest Applebees that I have ever been to, usually the bar area is fun, however this site seemed to treat the bar patrons as a nuisance. I am willing to bet that the individuals in the bar spend a lot more than the couple spending 19.99 for 2 entrees and a glass of water. read more

Terrible service! Waitress sitting at bar visiting when we arrived & another server came to seat us. 3 handicapped patrons left standing at door! Messed up our order but replaced it. Burgers were delicious but service was not great. Then she told us tip automatically charged on machine. No amount or percentage on ticket so don't know how much tip Justice gave herself! Had to wait for to go order to be cooked. Won't be back. read more

Be wary of the Curbside Pick-up. I've done it twice and waited well beyond the time provided at the online order. The Curbside Pick-Up sign says 10 minute limit; after waiting 9 minutes past the ready time on my emailed order receipt, I called the number to make sure there was no ramifications of sitting there longer than 10 minutes. The hostess apologized and said my food would be out shortly. Another 8 minutes later the nice girl brought out my food, apologized and handed me a 50% for next order. First experience not good ... I gambled on a second chance and lost. Food was OK .. luke warm at best, but I ate it all. read more

Won't be going back anytime soon. We ended up leaving because never got waited on. Three tables seated after us were waited on. Waitresses laughing and playing around with each other rather than working. Maybe more supervision and training of staff would be appropriate. This Applebee's is notorious for slow service and we knew that going in but thought we'd give it another try. Oh well, another reason to go to Longview. read more

Literally the worst apple bees I've ever been to. Do not come here, just skip it. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. Not clean, utensils came out dirty, food came out undercooked. Even the waitress said we should have gone to chili's instead. read more

This is one of the most worst restaurant in the city of Marshall. How do you place a order for curve side and end up wait in the restaurant an hour. And they still was unable to get the order right. As for customer service, the store manager has no definition of it. For the price of the food and service, you better off going next door. At less that way you are expecting a whooper. read more

We visited here late last week and we ordered, received our drinks, and continued to wait over 45 minutes for our food. Very bad customer service, won't be returning again any time soon. Also, yes, we did leave without paying for our drinks due to the fact that our server paid no attention to us. read more

I think y'all already know about this Applebee's if you live here. I'm sure you can catch them on a good day and I have once but I was sitting at the bar. The service is slow the managers and unknown and the environment all together is hectic because nothing is managed properly. This place has the potential to be so much better as well as an environment good enough for a college town but no they continue to hire mediocre management and so they continue to hire mediocre employees and thus the mediocre environment. I honestly was going to give this place two stars but as I was writing this review I realized how bad it is. I feel bad for the employees especially the servers. As someone who works in the service industry if you don't professional training then you're not going to make professional money so I always leave a nice tip. I really hope that this place gets better. Also I decided to go with 2 stars because on Thursday's they have karaoke night and honestly it's really fun but I suggest sitting at the bar if you don't want to wait for food too long. read more

Applebee's Grill + Bar - American Near Me - Marshall, Texas

This is our favorite place in town. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. The wait staff is very friendly and doesn't rush you out. read more

Do NOT eat here! Worst service, lack of etiquette, no clean silverware so they tossed to-go plastic ware on the table, set to-go packets of salad dressing on the salad (with no shredded Parmesan or croutons..literally some lettuce and watery something that was supposed to be Cesar dressing)that was brought out(after our meals), drinks were filled once the whole time we were there, no croutons because they were out, no ranch because someone "made it wrong in the kitchen"?! I asked to speak to the manager and was told they were "too busy" to come out and speak to us! NEVER AGAIN!! read more

The only reason I'm not trying to give 0 stars is because they're refunding me part of my bill. This restaurant is a nightmare, a disaster. My family ate in restaurant; they received the wrong items with their meal. They also charged my dad a tip but did not tell him until after they'd ran his card. (He always gives a cash tip and was not going to give a big one because service was awful.) I got a to go order: oriental chicken salad wrap & steak. The fries were missing from the wrap. The steak was supposed to be the bigger size, rare, but was barely a 4 Oz and tasted like jerky. My sides were supposed to be a Caesar salad & mac/cheese. I got garlic mashed potatoes instead. Will NOT be going back. read more

Wow, what a great experience. We both had the $10.99 3 course meal. The appetizers were good and the burgers were off the chain. Then the brownie bite came, sinful, but delicious. The server was both friendly and attentive. All and all, a 5 star experience. read more

Dude, I can't even start with this place. Cold cheese dip, broken chips, over cooked salmon, congealed butter on green beans, literally it took an hour to get our appetizer and it was the wrong thing. Our waitress sat my drink on someone else's table then moved it to mine. DONT COME HERE!!!! :((( read more

Was on a work trip to Marshall, Tx. Needed somewhere to eat and although I don't normally eat at Applebee's but figured a major chain would be a safe bet. Our waitress was clueless. She told us they were all out of steaks but they did have sirloins, huh?? My Ceasar salad was missing the croutons and was made of equal parts lettuce and salad dressing. So soggy o couldn't finish it. When entree comes they brought me broccoli instead of the baked potato I ordered. Waitress said she would fix it. I finished my steak and some really bad garlic green beans before my baked potato arrived. I will say the baked potato was great and the best part of the meal. While all this is going on the couple at the table across from us we're having similar issues. He ordered house salad but got Ceasar salad, his did have croutons. He ordered bone in wings but got boneless. I didn't hear what he ordered as an entree but it was wrong as well. They asked for the manager who actually seemed to make it worse not better. Totally poor customer service. The whole back and forth between this couple the waitress and then the manager really made my dinner uncomfortable. Just overall poor experience. So so food. Except for the potato. I'm sure there are plenty of better places to eat in town. read more

I really would leave no stars if I could. Our food took forever, and then once we got it both of our dishes were over cooked . Extremely crunchy salmon is not appetizing, very charred and on the burnt side. Very disappointed because I was excited to eat there! The burger we got was honestly one of the worst we've ever had. We ordered chips and salsa and were given stale chips. All of the booths were dirty when we came in. Waitress was nice, but doesn't make up for a trash $40 meal. read more

1st time to eat here, we'll, we did curbside. It was fantastic! Get the garlic mashed potatoes, add sour cream and cheese and you will hurt yourself eating them! Ribs and steak were great! Huge portions!! We will definitely eat here again!! read more

This is great restaurant IF you want the following.... 1. To hear complaints from other customers as soon as you sit down. 2. Have your drink spilled in your lap and all over the table. 3. Move table cause that's faster than cleaning the current one. 4. Finally get your drinks and the waiter hands you the container of sugar packets from the tray that still full of spilled tea and drips it across the table. 5. Get your appetizer and the chips are sooo stale they hurt your teeth. 6. The wait staff are arguing on the floor over who gets what table. 7. The wait staff and cooks are partying it up in the kitchen loudly! 8. Sit there for 35 minutes waiting on your food, people come in and sit down behind you and get there food in less than 10 minutes and your still waiting on yours!! We ask for the check for our drinks and appetizer and the waiter says but yalls food is up...but he's never brought it to us so that tells me it's probably cold by now. We are out!! But not before the Manager comes up smiling wanting to know what happened. So we told him then got to leave without any charge. So if this is what you like be my guest. This is not the first time we have had bad service or food at this place but it will be the last!! Doesn't deserve but tip of star. read more

Anyone that knows me knows that I don't complain about anything hardly. We get to go orders quite often. Last weekend they screwed up our to go order again so for probably the first time I called back and talked the manager. Manager took my name said it would be there for other managers so they would know to give me a free appetizer. Tonight I phoned in my order and picked out my free appetizer. Get to the bar and they told me they didn't have any caramel for the caramel appetizer I ordered. Ordered something else. Guy then tells me the manager told him to tell me he didn't know anything about my name.and a appetizer. I told the server to please be sure to tell the manager that didn't have the nerve to come tell me themselves that I literally will never set foot in there again. We spend a lot in this store. The server said he was very sorry. I told him I knew none of them were sorry or we wouldn't be where we were tonight due to a repetitive problem. I said as soon as I walk out I am sure I will be called a son of a bitch. APPLEBEES MARSHALL, YOU HAVE LOST ALL RESPECT AS A SO CALLED RESTAURANT AND YOU SUCK SOMETHING FIERCE. PLEASE JOIN ME IN NEVER GOING BACK IN THERE. read more

Is no stars a category?! This place is the pits! My group and I waited for over 2 hours for food. You know its bad when the appetizers arrive with the main dishes. The last person in our party received her food about 15 minutes before closing time and in addition it didn't taste good. This was my first time coming to an Applebee's and I am from Los Angeles, CA. I hope this location isn't an indicator of how these restaurants are across the country. read more

I've tried this place time and time again. I want to like it because it's close to my house and Marshall doesn't really have lots of options. But for the life of me, I haven't been able to find much to like, including the truly bad food very spotty service. read more

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the manager, introduced to our server and immediately seated. Our server, Odyssey, was very helpful and explained the numerous specials on the menu. My wife and I ordered the 6 oz. sirloin, medium. Drinks were promptly delivered and the food arrived shortly after. I would have preferred the steak to be a little less done, but is was slightly pink in the middle, so no complaints. Odyssey was great! She was attentive, pleasant, and courteous. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dinner and left satisfied and given some of the other reviews, pleasantly surprised. They appear to be making significant progress and improving on every level. read more

This is one of the most un appetizing eateries in the area. Super slow service, and food that is poorly prepared at best. Consider yourself lucky if you even get the food you ordered,as the student wait staff couldn't care less if they get it right. read more

Been there once and that was one time too many. Right after we were seated, the couple in the next booth was leaving. The gentleman leaned over and whispered to me, "Good luck!" I asked him about what and he replied, "Everything!" We soon discovered what he meant. The service was terrible. There were very few people in the restaurant but our server couldn't manage the time to check on us once except to bring the check. The food was not appetizing at all. Appeared to just be thrown on the plate which showed they didn't care, so we don't care to ever go back. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. Stopped in out of town and service as the worst ever! We were here 2 hours and it was not by choice, this is how long it took for us to get our food. read more

Not the best Applebee's around...kind of dirty, food was very sloppy and tasteless and the bartender pretty much sucked.

Literally worst service ever. I drove 20 minutes to get this order and they forgot my entire meal and messed up my families meals. I called to tell them about it and the girl on the phone laughed at me for telling them that the order was wrong. Really takes someone with no brain to forget an entire meal and both sides that came with the steak my dad ordered. Trash read more

I had a very pleasant experience at this Applebees. I was seated promptly and had a very friendly and attentive waitress, Kyleigha. Food was very satisfying and fresh off the skillet. Would come here again if my travels bring me through there again. read more

This was literally the worst dining experience of our lives. The waitress made at least 10 mistakes in a row, from forgetting what drinks we ordered and bringing the entree before the salad to forgetting our dessert and not knowing how to operate the checkout/payment device. Then when we had had enough and asked for the manager, he didn't want to hear what had happened but just wanted to buy us off by giving us a discount. We never even received a sincere apology... just a sarcastic "sorry the service was substandard." It was WAY below substandard. Stay far away from this Applebee's!!! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. The table had straw wrappers on it my tea tasted old had to go to the bar and ask for sweetener. We ordered and got half our appetizer so after almost an hour we left. Avoid this place at all cost. I have been to other Applebee's and had a great experience. Whoever runs this one needs to be fired. read more

This restaurant doesn't even deserve one star. Service was horrible. We waited 15 minutes before we even got water. After that, no one even came by take take our order. We left. Worst service I've ever experienced. Shame on you Applebee's. Truly gross. read more

Needless to say, there aren't many restaurant options in Marshall. Applebee's seems like a safe choice, but this is the worst one I've ever eaten at. Been here three times (never again!) and each time has been terrible. The service is ok, but something nasty is going on in the kitchen. They can't get orders right, the food comes out very slowly, and it's not well cooked. Think they can't screw up a steak in Texas? Think again -- they ruined three steaks in one order. Not only were they lukewarm, but they were strangely rubbery. Think you can get away with ordering a salad? Think again -- the produce is old. Think a sandwich is safe? Beware of mayo overdose and greasy "toasted" bread. Think food poisoning is not so bad? Maybe you should eat here and find out the truth. --UPDATE-- Two coworkers didn't get my warning and recently visited. One was pleasantly surprised at the mediocrity of his Philly cheesesteak. The other decided to eat 4-day-old Bodacious ribs rather than his lunch. read more

This has to be the worst Applebee's in the chain. Service at this location was terrible. Restaurant was not busy on a late Saturday afternoon but the waiter acted like he was so rushed. He had 3 tables! Every time he made a mistake he blamed someone else. There were 3 people in our party and they brought out 2 plates of food and I assumed the other would be be out in just a minute. Kept waiting and finally had to tell him and he acted like he didn't realize that he had brought out only two orders. Wrong drinks were brought and he blamed the kitchen! Food was ok - nothing great. Will not return to this location. read more

New dishes are tasteless. Empty restaurant and still takes 20 minutes to get your check. My husband ordered his steak cooked medium, it came to the table mooing. They recooked the same steak. It came back with cold potatoes and still bleeding. They offered to throw the SAME steak back on the grill AGAIN. I ordered my dish without bacon and received the whole pig. They took the dish away, pulled off the bacon, and returned it. Add insult to injury, the bread was stale and cold too. The manager NEVER made an appearance. read more

I'm just sad, hungry looking for a Bowl of soup... hearty &filling like Grandma use to make....NOT here read more

This was by far the dirtiest nastiest restaurant I've ever entered in my 48 years of life. I feel sure the health department needs to shut it down. I arrived around 10:30pm after a college football game and literally if the table wasn't occupied by customers, it was covered in dirty dishes. The service was the slowest I've also ever experienced in my entire life. I wanted to leave but my husband was starving and nothing we knew of was open. I went to the restroom and it was equally as dirty as the restaurant, I decided to "hold it" until I could find a cleaner bathroom later. I went to the sink to wash my hands and there were black curly hairs in the sink bowl. I came back to my table and on the floor was mashed food into the carpet and again, all tables covered in dirty dishes and no one even looking to attempt to clean anything. It really needs a LOT of impromptu visits from the health department. It should be closed. Oh and the food!!! Cold and took an hour to get!! read more

We went there tonight. Was a disaster. We were there over 1&1/2 hours. We got our chips and salsa and asked for more. He said it would come out after our food. Which never came. We finally left money for our drinks and the chips and salsa. We asked for the manager but he didn't come to the table. We just left. We heard other tables complaining also. read more

Ordered online, when got to hotel part of order was missing. Call the restrant they wanted me to drive back up there to get the other half. After having to drive half hour to go pick up the order and half hour back to hotel. Needs to improve on getting order right the first time. Needless to say, i lost that amount of money for part of my order! Very frustrating when you spend money for something and not get what you paid for! Do your job right the first time. I also might add that ordered (2)two 8oz steaks and both wear only 6 Oz after paying the difference for the up grade as well. Guess lesson learn make sure you check your order very carefully before leaving, since employees aren't doing there job completely fulfilling orders half ways! read more
