Sat at the bar and the bartender was almost nonexistent. I am not sure if this was because management tasked her with other duties, or if she was just texting behind the wall. I think the former. I probably would have asked the manager, but I don't think that there was one on duty tonight. If there was a manager, I didn't see him/her. I felt like I was being rushed out, after I finished my wings my bill was slapped in front of me, however my intention was to have a few beers before going to bed. This has been the oddest Applebees that I have ever been to, usually the bar area is fun, however this site seemed to treat the bar patrons as a nuisance. Be wary of the Curbside Pick-up. I've done it twice and waited well beyond the time provided at the online order. The Curbside Pick-Up sign says 10 minute limit; after waiting 9 minutes past the ready time on my emailed order receipt, I called the number to make sure there was no ramifications of sitting there longer than 10 minutes. The hostess apologized and said my food would be out shortly. Another 8 minutes later the nice girl brought out my food, apologized and handed me a 50% for next order. First experience not good ... I think y'all already know about this Applebee's if you live here. I'm sure you can catch them on a good day and I have once but I was sitting at the bar. The service is slow the managers and unknown and the environment all together is hectic because nothing is managed properly. This place has the potential to be so much better as well as an environment good enough for a college town but no they continue to hire mediocre management and so they continue to hire mediocre employees and thus the mediocre environment. I honestly was going to give this place two stars but as I was writing this review I realized how bad it is. I feel bad for the employees especially the servers. As someone who works in the service industry if you don't professional training then you're not going to make professional money so I always leave a nice tip. I really hope that this place gets better. Also I decided to go with 2 stars because on Thursday's they have karaoke night and honestly it's really fun but I suggest sitting at the bar if you don't want to wait for food too long. read more

Worst service, lack of etiquette, no clean silverware so they tossed to-go plastic ware on the table, set to-go packets of salad dressing on the salad (with no shredded Parmesan or croutons..literally some lettuce and watery something that was supposed to be Cesar dressing)that was brought out(after our meals), drinks were filled once the whole time we were there, no croutons because they were out, no ranch because someone "made it wrong in the kitchen"?! The only reason I'm not trying to give 0 stars is because they're refunding me part of my bill. This restaurant is a nightmare, a disaster. My family ate in restaurant; they received the wrong items with their meal. They also charged my dad a tip but did not tell him until after they'd ran his card. (He always gives a cash tip and was not going to give a big one because service was awful.) I got a to go order: oriental chicken salad wrap & steak. The fries were missing from the wrap. The steak was supposed to be the bigger size, rare, but was barely a 4 Oz and tasted like jerky. My sides were supposed to be a Caesar salad & mac/cheese. I got garlic mashed potatoes instead. Was on a work trip to Marshall, Tx. Needed somewhere to eat and although I don't normally eat at Applebee's but figured a major chain would be a safe bet. Our waitress was clueless. She told us they were all out of steaks but they did have sirloins, huh?? My Ceasar salad was missing the croutons and was made of equal parts lettuce and salad dressing. So soggy o couldn't finish it. When entree comes they brought me broccoli instead of the baked potato I ordered. Waitress said she would fix it. I finished my steak and some really bad garlic green beans before my baked potato arrived. I will say the baked potato was great and the best part of the meal. While all this is going on the couple at the table across from us we're having similar issues. He ordered house salad but got Ceasar salad, his did have croutons. He ordered bone in wings but got boneless. I didn't hear what he ordered as an entree but it was wrong as well. They asked for the manager who actually seemed to make it worse not better. Totally poor customer service. The whole back and forth between this couple the waitress and then the manager really made my dinner uncomfortable. Just overall poor experience. So so food. I really would leave no stars if I could. Our food took forever, and then once we got it both of our dishes were over cooked . Extremely crunchy salmon is not appetizing, very charred and on the burnt side. Very disappointed because I was excited to eat there! The burger we got was honestly one of the worst we've ever had. Been there once and that was one time too many. Right after we were seated, the couple in the next booth was leaving. The gentleman leaned over and whispered to me, "Good luck!" I asked him about what and he replied, "Everything!" We soon discovered what he meant. The service was terrible. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the manager, introduced to our server and immediately seated. Our server, Odyssey, was very helpful and explained the numerous specials on the menu. My wife and I ordered the 6 oz. sirloin, medium. Drinks were promptly delivered and the food arrived shortly after. I would have preferred the steak to be a little less done, but is was slightly pink in the middle, so no complaints. Odyssey was great! She was attentive, pleasant, and courteous. Last weekend they screwed up our to go order again so for probably the first time I called back and talked the manager. This was by far the dirtiest nastiest restaurant I've ever entered in my 48 years of life. I feel sure the health department needs to shut it down. I arrived around 10:30pm after a college football game and literally if the table wasn't occupied by customers, it was covered in dirty dishes. The service was the slowest I've also ever experienced in my entire life. I wanted to leave but my husband was starving and nothing we knew of was open. I went to the restroom and it was equally as dirty as the restaurant, I decided to "hold it" until I could find a cleaner bathroom later. I went to the sink to wash my hands and there were black curly hairs in the sink bowl. I came back to my table and on the floor was mashed food into the carpet and again, all tables covered in dirty dishes and no one even looking to attempt to clean anything. Been here three times (never again!) and each time has been terrible. The service is ok, but something nasty is going on in the kitchen. They can't get orders right, the food comes out very slowly, and it's not well cooked. Think they can't screw up a steak in Texas? Think again -- they ruined three steaks in one order. Not only were they lukewarm, but they were strangely rubbery. Think you can get away with ordering a salad? Think again -- the produce is old. Think a sandwich is safe? Beware of mayo overdose and greasy "toasted" bread. Think food poisoning is not so bad? Maybe you should eat here and find out the truth. --UPDATE-- Two coworkers didn't get my warning and recently visited. One was pleasantly surprised at the mediocrity of his Philly cheesesteak. New dishes are tasteless. Empty restaurant and still takes 20 minutes to get your check. My husband ordered his steak cooked medium, it came to the table mooing. They recooked the same steak. It came back with cold potatoes and still bleeding. They offered to throw the SAME steak back on the grill AGAIN. I ordered my dish without bacon and received the whole pig.
