So we were at Applebee's in Logansport Indiana last night. They have their half price late night appetizers. We order some pretzels and beer cheese along with each having a meal. We were drinking water. After the waitress puts our order in she comes back and says we have to at least order one beverage in order to get the half price appetizer. No where does it state this. It was late and we were hungry so we just went a head and ordered a sweet tea. Well the tea was barely sweet enough to be called sweet tea. Lol. When we got our food I had ordered the bourbon street chicken and shrimp. Well the shrimp was very over cooked and the chicken wasn't evenly cooked. It was cooked all the way through but you could tell one half of the chicken was cooked longer than the other. How this happens I still don't know. Wasn't very impressed and to make us buy a beverage to get the half priced appetizer still amazes me. The corporate office needs to change the advertisement tent on the tables to state that. Won't go back that's for sure. Have went to other locations and was never told to buy a beverage to get half price appetizers. This location is a joke. read more

I travel for work and love to stop at this franchise for meals. Logansport location was worst service I have ever received at an Applebee's. Was there during slow time of day (2-3pm) and despite having counted five staff members near me, I wasn't greeted for over five minutes. Staff thought it more important to stand around in clusters and talk rather than greet a new customer sitting at bar. Bartender came out after 6 or 7 minutes from someplace in the back, she was pleasant enough, but only engaged me enough to take my order - only contact I had with her or anyone else in the building. Lost my appetite, took order to go, I am sure it will be satisfactory, but so disappointed in a crew that doesn't seem to understand the concept of hospitality. read more

I eat here quite often. Today was the worst service. Had a server named Alexus S. Took my order and we waited and waited. Finally the food arrived. Soup and Salad and a Chicken sandwich with fries. 30 min to wait for that. After she brought the food never came back except to deliver the bill. The French Onion soup was cold and so were the ice cold fries. All I can say about the server....lazy!! Next time we will sit at the bar where they have almost always got it right!! read more

Came for the 4th of July, management has 2 brand new employees hosting, people are getting seated out of order and lots of unsatisfied customers. Get sat, specifically ask for no lemon with water, it comes with two. Order a beer, was sat for 15 mins and the sever has brought water and soft drinks but no beer; even the appetizer came but still no beer. Appetizer was garlic breadsticks and the cheese sauce bowl was filled about 20% at best. Managers are going a little too far with cutting costs . There's been 2 four tops behind us sitting empty and yet there's approximately 15 people waiting to be seated. Ordered a steak rare and came out med/well. Management needs to get it together and learn know to run a restaurant. Will be leaving a comment card so hopefully this will be addressed and fixed. I don't like writing reviews but this experience is unsatisfactory as a whole. Strongly suggest going somewhere eating out somewhere else. read more

We ordered boneless wings, they were overcooked and the original wing sauce was terrible. The fries were cold and soggy. We ordered pretzel sticks and the beer cheese was gritty and sour tasting they also only filled the cheese cup a fourth of the way full. It's an Applebee's. What more needs to be written? It's moderately decent food, that is exactly the same as you'd find in every one of the thousands of other Applebees in the US of A. I had an 8 ounce sirloin steak that I asked for pink in the middle, but was served fully cooked and closer to being incinerated. This was AFTER our server asked us all how we wanted our steaks done. It was also a teeny, tiny bit TOUGH. The side orders were completely forgettable. But again, it's Applebees, so it's exactly what should be expected. Our server was a very nice, sweet, cheerful young woman who brought us our food, and other minor requests, like extra napkins and drink refills, without even one complaint from her. I left the restaurant not hungry, and I didn't get sick from eating it, so it rates two stars. Actually 1-1/2 stars, but the happy-go-lucky waitress bumps it up a half star. read more

Good food. Good beer. Terrible service. Terrible management. It took a long time to give us our appetizers. The people that came in after us got theirs before us. We felt forgot about and no one apologized. When it came time to pay, I asked if they gave a military discount, which they did. On a $60 bill, they gave $2 off. I figured out that they only discounted my meal, which is not normal even for Applebee's. So I showed my wife's military ID, and the manager said "it will only be another $2 off." There were 3 people in my party. The waitress was very friendly. I ordered the bourbon street steak with no mushrooms, medium rare. When my food arrived, there were mushrooms on the plate. I didn't complain, no big deal. The waitress came over and asked me to cut into my steak. I did, she said it wasn't right and took it back. Said they would make a new one. Got it back and it was the same steak( my cut was still there) and it was over cooked. Inconsistency is the big reason why I don't go there very often. read more

Bad service. Bad management. Very bad customer relations. Stopped in here on 6/15/2019 to have an early dinner with my husband. We sat at the bar. Only us there at the time. I waited for 20 minuets then finally asked for something to drink. Denise however, had my husband, a drink and an appetizer before I got that. Then when we ordered Denise act like I wasn't even sitting there. I had to stop her to get her to take my order after she took my husbands. Our food came out and she was standing on the other side of my husband and asked him if he need anything else. I said we need silverware to eat with. And she said, I gave him his silverware. I said well I don't have any. She walked off and another woman gave me my silverware. UNBELIVABLE. Then when I went to pay the bill she AND the manager started laughing and said, Oh you are making her pay the bill and they both started laughing. What kind of place are they running here in Logansport. Are they both so hard up for a man they lost all of their self control and respect for themselves and decided to treat a woman customer like crape to amuse their selves for the day. I think this is the last time I will ever eat at this restaurant but since there are not many restaurants in Logansport I may have to relent and go back. This is the third time I have eaten there in the past month. The first experience was a takeout which I waited 20 minutes for to receive so they gave me the meal for free. I will not rate that meal. The meal that I took my husband out for was cold and the steak was tough. The best thing was the appetizer which is sad. I just got a $46.00 take out meal and again the best thing was the appetizer. My fish tasted like they had been fried in old grease the French fries were cold and tasted like they had been sitting around for awhile. Then I got to the apple fritter dessert which cost almost $7.00. There were about 4 canned pie apples and a burnt fritter that looks and tastes like a brick of charcoal. What a waste of money!!!! I hadn't been to an Applebee's in quite some time. I could not believe all the great additions they've made to their menu; alot of tasty choices. However I went back to my favorite, the Riblet Basket. It was better than ever! The amount of meat was generous and very tender and tasty. read more

I really like your review Jim C. It's realistic people like you that can be understanding that help make the world a little better. I was in there on the fourth and it was busy! I don't work at Applebee's but I felt bad for the people working. It's their job to make sure your happy, they work for tips and know that, the last thing they want is for you to be upset but when your rude or have negative energy it makes it that much harder for them to help you. Jameson L. clearly stated that the person hosting was new yet had no mercy. He was also there the same time I was, on a holiday! You can assume they probably were short staffed already so they had to use the newbies. Complaining about getting two lemons is pretty petty, if you've ever worked in the industry it's better to give someone a lemon when it slips your mind weather or not they want one as opposed to not giving them one and then have to go back for one. The worst thing you may have to do is touch a lemon. I also waited for my drink, but this is why they make sure something is at least in front of you, water etc. It was busy and the bartender makes your drink not the server, and they are making everyone's drinks including their own bar guests. As far as the appetizer, I get feeling jipped on cheese and I have had to say something before too but they have always been able to bring me a little more, given it's addressed right away and they know it wasn't just eaten. Remember they want to make the guest happy. The steak is a legitimate complaint, it is applebees but still...I understand that, you just need to address it and I know they will do something. As far as the 15 people waiting was it a party? We don't know? Two four tops equal eight not 15. And Rhonda L. your husband must be one heck of a hunk, you might want to just keep it at the house from now on and make life easier. I say all this because I know it's not an easy job and people need to think more before they go writing reviews about a job they have never done.
