Food was cold and unseasoned...drinks were way watered and it was empty but the service was EXTREMELY SLOW

The kitchen was slow and backed up causing an 1 and 1/2 hour wait with the Restaurant only 30% seated at 8pm on a Saturday night. They did not have any of the advertised drink specials and the manager Jasmine Bigalow would not allow guest to be seated for drink only orders until the kitchen became caught up. Haven't been to Applebees in years and had never been to this location until now. Met a friend for a happy hour drink. I ordered the top shelf Long Island and the bartender Chris made it is stoned as I like it. I end up have 2 more before leaving. I also order the double Fried wings with honey bbq sauce. It was decent. The regulars here are entertaining and they seem to enjoy playing music on the jukebox app. Chill environment. Would return to see Chris for drinks. read more

Applebee's has never been on my list of places to chow down, but things change. My mom suggested we all went and what a pleasant surprise! I had no idea it was so popular, especially late in the evening. It was jam packed! The music was loud and people we enjoying the bar. I was actually shocked. Applebee's has been under my radar. The quesadilla burger is amazing. The pretzel stick appetizer is great and the buffalo wings are pretty impressive. We've been twice and have had excellent service with perfect food. It's a relief when the food comes out just right, especially when it's a full house. I really had a great experience. There's plenty of parking and is off to the corner of the shopping center. The menu is extensive, so it's easy to find something you'd like. It's great for nightlife and feels almost like a lounge. Almost. But it's a fun weekend or evening spot. read more

It's my second time ever eating at Applebees. The first time we went..... The Alfredo tasted like chalk, the spinach artichoke was bland, the wings and burgers were so good! Just know that your meats will only come out well done, because the cook does what he/she wants. That is literally what our server said. The drinks are basically juices but so good. After our first visit we learned to only get burgers wings and drinks, everything else just go somewhere else. Second visit lasted 10 min. Server was rude and nonchalant she seemed to not like her job. Given the sub par food choices we grabbed our coats and left! Never to return. My standards and expectations of casual dining restaurants is rather casual (not too high), largely based on experience, price point, clientele, menu, etc. While we did arrive minutes after opening on a Sunday morning (as that's what our schedule warranted) we were disappointed that we were discouraged from sitting at the bartop (not that we were looking to drink at 11am, we just like to sit at the bartop). As we were escorted to our table I was disappointed to see all the dirty tables and dirty floors. Food was about as expected. Mozzarella sticks were not gooey, they were rather solid. Steak was over cooked. Our server never checked on us to ask how the food was and never refilled or drinks despite offering and starting that he would. Service was slow, especially for 11am, and considering that we were the only table (of 2) when we entered and 1 of 4 tables when we left.. Bottom line, even for Applebee's it was not a good experience. Will not return. read more

So this used to be a great place for Happy Hour; it felt like a real neighborhood bar! The bartender, Melvin, was great. Everyone loved him and the other bartenders! What a great feeling -/ sitting at the bar and the bartender knows your usual drink and serves it without you having to say one word! However they are now gone. The regulars have left too. Ok, I see hit or miss reviews. So let's discuss this in categories. For starters, I am a regular at this location due to the service of the bartender who goes by the name of Stephanie. Her specialty strawberry cocktail is definitely a seller at this place for the regulars. It has multiple liquors similar to a long island. She has me coming back to this place. She was very friendly and bubbly when I first met her. It has been a few times when I have came and Stephanie was not there and other people was behind the bar, my experience was OK. So let's talk about why this place can be hit or miss. Service- Service is usually good depending on 'who you have' to be honest just like any place. Service here is usually nice. The manger Ron is usually walking around checking on guests. 8/10 Atmosphere- Usually a good 'home feeling' type of atmosphere. A bunch of TV's to watch if you ever come alone. 8.5/ 10 Cleanliness- 8/10. Bathroom can get a little unsanitary due to female customers being TRIFLING. But, I don't know apple bees cleaning schedule as far as how often these bathrooms get cleaned..lol. I always sit at the bar and the bar is usually clean. Stephanie and Mo' always wipe down the bar take away dirty dishes, drinks etc. 'Regulars' - Has their days when they can be rowdy. They sometimes have inappropriate conversations at the bar. But I'm used to it, they don't bother me and I don't bother them. They come for good drinks, BUT who wouldn't though? From the perspective of new comers being around the bar by the regulars can come off as a TURNOFF. I honestly, feel like if you cant handle inappropriate conversations at a bar where drinks are served maybe you should drink at home. 5/10 Servers- I don't really sit at the tables to eat but when I have, I was accommodated by Tona and Tijuan before. Both were great, very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. 10/10 for these two servers. Overall, Try it out. See for yourself. read more

Yikes! Saw a commercial for all you can eat riblets, chicken tenders, and shrimp. Sounded like a fun idea (Applebee's has never been my definition of fun but to each their own) so my friends and I decided to pop in. After all, how can you mess up chicken tenders? Things started off strange. There were definitely 20+ tables open but we still had to put our name in and wait about 10 minutes before we were seated. Finally we got a table and our waitress took our drink order. I got a rum something or other, my one friend got something fruity, and our other friend got a beer. The drinks took a bit but they tasted alright. I wish our waitress brought us water, but you cant have it all. We placed out order for all you can eat riblets, chicken, and shrimp and patiently waited. We drank our drinks and that was that. Twenty minutes later the waitress checked back in and we ordered more drinks (we still don't have our food mind you). I ordered a vodka soda (like the easiest cocktail to make) and our waitress seemed to acknowledge that she knew what it was. 10 minutes later (still no food, we're now 35 minutes post ordering) and she brings me my vodka "soda." Imagine my surprise when I realized she actually just brought me a straight vodka on the rocks. Not complaining I guess but I still don't have ice water and I wasn't about to start doing shots at an Applebees. Anyway, the riblets finally came and I was horrified. The plate came with *one* riblet with BBQ sauce smeared all over and about a dozen of the saddest and most flaccid fries you've ever seen strewn about the plate. Although my inner Gordon Ramsay was shouting "what's wrong with you man!? this looks like cat food," I was very polite (perhaps too polite) and smiled and ate it, paid the bill and left. Luckily I finally got that water to cleanse my pallet of the most awful (but hysterical) dining experiences I've ever had. If anything I'd like to thank Applebee's for giving me the chance to compare their riblets advertisement to the real thing, because I laugh every time. I guess I'll give two stars because parking was easy and there's at least a Taco Bell next door, which is a huge step up from the food at Applebee's. read more

I called the restaurant and asked for their appetizer "artichoke and spinach dip", and the person taking my order asked me, "which one?" I said "it's one dip, not (2)." She proceeded and said, "no its 2 separate dips." She got angry with me and I asked for the manager. The manager understood my position and gave me a discount. For some strange reason my man likes this place so we go sometimes. I always order the same thing cause it's actually kinda good. The food is otherwise bland and subpar. The only thing worth getting excited about is their Dragonfruit drink. It is so good. Anyway our waitress just didn't wanna be at work and you could tell she been there for too long. I showed up at this place first time took till the end of my dinning experience to get the waters we asked for at the beginning. I ordered a drink at last call the bartender ignored my request for another request a person at my table made. My food was brought out wrong each time after I said I had an allergy and was still served the food. They argued with employees in front of us. They ignored me and listened to the men of the table not me. I'm very annoyed. I told them cancel my order and they still brought it out. I came here for their 3pm special for dine in. The food was great until I asked for a to-go box. The waiter gave me two stacked. I went to take the both apart to find 2 baby roaches crawling in the inside. Perplexed and shocked I went to take a picture but the waiter came and brought it to her concern. Let me tell something to you. I've lived in this area for decades and never crossed the threshold, but I'm glad I did tonight. I had the pleasure and luxury of dining under the service of the handsome bearded waiter, Jose. He was very attentive, accommodating, and he is the reason I'm returning. I don't really eat at chain restaurants however, I was celebrating a born day with colleagues. The establishment was filled with the happy hour crew. I don't think rap music with curse words are appropriate for restaurant settings. We order food, the service was slow to the point that the waitress forgot the birthday person meal.she did comp the meal though. I ordered the 2 for 20, my chicken tenders were drenched in BBQ sauce and my colleagues were dry. For main course I had a steak, mash potatoes loaded and broccoli. Went in on Nation Burger night. My server was extremely slow. It took him over ten minutes to bring me my soda pop. The boneless bbq wings were okay nothing to write home about. Now what made up for everything especially the super slow service was the cheese burger! I used almost never like my burger medium well, but this time I was ok with the exception. That burger was so juicy and tasty that I thought I was at "Shake Shack". I would go back again just not get that server. read more

I don't even want to give one star. We try to give the establishment the benefit of the doubt. Not anymore! They never have two things that match. They offer specials and can't fulfill them. Once we asked for a salad... NO Lettuce. Like how? Shoppers is right across the parking lot. They offer specials to where you can mix and match but take so long to check on you you don't even want anything to eat. The wait staff sits with other customers but don't check on the people they are serving. I'm done with the mediocre service but you expect a tip of over 15%. Oh and not to mention they have drink specials and get their favorites so drunk fights begin when a customer comes in to tell an already seated customer they need to move because it's their seat. Like wait a minute Shirley yo name isn't engraved on the chair..where do they do that at... oh wait here at this ghetto vibes apple bees. And no I won't take the review down. I sat there for 10 minutes with no server and when one finally came over he left and it took another 10 minutes for him to bring water and menus. I'm very much so pleased with this location two month ago the service was terrible but my wife and I decided to give em another chance and boy I tell you this restaurant has done a complete turnaround with customer service, food and staff. Before I arrived I called . When I got on the phone I wasn't professionally greeted the phone attendant was rude as well . I was told my meal was ready for pick up , waited 40 minutes to be served burnt and dry chicken . This place is rather hit or miss--unfortunately it takes trial and error to know what's good and not. The bar won tons are just gross. We couldn't even finish them. The service is spotty depending on who you get. We ordered blue moons one time, and what we got was definitely not it. Turns out they had switched the line but did not inform the bartenders.... with that said: their burgers are decent, as is their wings, and that's usually what we go for. Monday's are $6.99 burger night and Wednesday are $5 wing nights. Oh. And the shiracha shrimp is pretty fantastic -- reminds me of the dynamite shrimp the used to have years ago. If you go during a happy hour, or when something is discounted, it's more worth the trip. read more

So My service here was wonderful. I didn't Love the wait time but it was a Friday night so I guess that's what happens. My daughter and I needed to Kill sometime because my son was at a football game. We were waited on by Christopher and he was such a gentleman. I could really tell that I stepped over the Baltimore line. I got a chance to experience that southern Hospitality. I let him know that I was kinda in a rush because I wasn't sure when I had to go and get my son. He was on it! He came to the table like every five minutes to check on me. I also wanted to try the $1 Margarita and he was swift with bringing that to the table as well. When he bought the check he also brought some candy.. I guess for Halloween... But nonetheless he was an absolute sweetheart and I could not have asked for a better waiter. read more

Came here for a beer before the Redskins game at FedEx Field and I have to say I was surprisingly impressed! The facility was clean and the staff were very friendly. The service for beers and bar snacks was incredibly fast. The highlight was the automated tablet ordering system that is installed at every table which allows you to order food and pay your bill at any time with the touch of a button. The tablet also features trivia games which you can play at your table. I know it seems weird to give this place 5 stars, but within the casual chain restaurant category, this Applebee's really stood out from the crowd! read more

The wait is long (even though they're not crowded), some waiter's can't seem to get it together (don't listen, you have to repeat yourself, hardly ever come back for follow-up, take a long time to take orders, don't relay issues to manager so you're repeating yourself), the brown skin female manager with natural hair need to quit (she doesn't act like she want to be there, don't know how to handle a business/customer's, have poor customer service skills). The food was tasty, the service started out slow but got better. The troubling part: I was there from 7 pm to 9 pm on a Friday evening. The manager had her 2 young sons seated in a booth eating, playing, stretched out on the bench, shoes off. The children entertained themselves, occasionally interacting with the person in the next booth while their mother sat with friends and then returned to her work duties. She sat down with them to eat her dinner and then went back to work. It was sad to see the children there all that time, mostly alone. I know their mother could always see (except when she went to the kitchen) but they appeared unsupervised. It was unsettling and distracted me from fully enjoying my meal. Today was the worst. Waitress greeted me and my guess, took our drink orders 20 minutes later we received our hot tea. It gets better, order main meal received the salad after another 20 minutes, ask for more dressing received that after 10 minutes, received main course after 20 minutes from the salad, a simple hamburger no condiments, refused to ask for them because I know it's going to take another 10-20 minutes for ketchup. Asked for the manager and to go boxes because now the food is ruined and I have condiments at home. No manager, no to go boxes after another 7minutes. I go to get the manager myself to get my receipt and to go boxes. Manager offered nothing no even and apology for all the delays, however she sent the check over. I paid, LEFT NO TIP and I am a good tipper. I understand the time we are living in and that staff is short but that amount of time is not understandable. Instead of the waitress completing my simple request she continued to take other orders which made her forget the little things we needed. BY FAR MY WORST EXPERIENCE. Try at your own risk.
