We had to wait to be seated for a few minutes but not terribly long. We were seated and then greeted by our server, McKinzie, who was great. She got our drinks while we perused the menu. She brought refills before we even finished our first drinks and we had onion rings delivered very quickly after ordering. The ambiance is a sports bar type decor. Multiple TV's were up and playing a variety of sports and other shows. My food was delivered hot and sizzling. I had the waffle fries with a chicken sautéed with onions and mushrooms and a spicy sauce. It was delicious. My husband had the ribeye, redskin mashed potatoes and broccoli and he also said was a 5 out of 5. We both took home boxes of leftovers. read more

I searched the Internet for restaurants serving corned beef n cabbage in my area and found an enticing St Patrick Day ad by Applebees.. HOWEVER, when I was seated, I was told they werent selling that. I checked my ad, enlarged it.. and sW the fine, fine print: 2020! ‍ Sooo, since I was there and had apologized to me sweet server, I ordered the chicken taco appetizer ( photo, when I find it), which was not only served promptly; but also, was crispy, hot and tasty. I'm not a fan of any spicy hot sauce like these had, but it was subtle enough to allow my throat to tolerate. It was a pleasant St Patrick lunch, after-all. I confirmed.. DONT believe everything we SEE in large print on the Internet! ‍ read more

The hostess was friendly and immediately sat me at a booth of my choice. Things were looking good. I ordered "bone in" wings as an appetizer and a sirloin 8 ounce, med rare with a water. My wings make it to the table quickly. But these were boneless chicken nuggets, not bone in. Fine, no complaints, they were good. (Still waiting in my water) Sirloin comes out, double broccoli which was green but just a hump of "broccoli leaves", no real broccoli stalks. Fine. I cut directly into the tougher than expected sirloin... It was not pink but it wasn't brown on the inside. It was chewy and tasteless, unfortunately. I thought i could detect a hint of spoiled meat but I chalked it up to being all in my head. I ate it anyways. Waitress was friendly but never checked on my table or refilled my water. There were maybe 6 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. I wasn't expecting exceptional food but i wasn't expecting below average. It happens, i suppose. read more

For the second time and last time my family has gone to this restaurant. Seems as the hostess said "we have really bad cooks" is very true and also poor management to boot. Both times kitchen has been blamed for not seating anyone for ever. Servers there and available, tables available. This time we had to wait until what little patrons were there had their food or were leaving. Hostess kept saying manager would not let her seat anyone not even at bar stools at actual bar. Btw no one was setting anywhere in bar. Unacceptable. Patrons who were waiting were leaving. Mind you this was at 2:30-3:30 on Sunday. read more

Came in after a funeral with my brother to get some food and ordered a whiskey sour. The bartender never brought it and was just hanging out with other employees laughing. When our food came I just said whatever and assumed she had forgot and I didn't want the drink this late into the visit. She never came back to check on us and we eventually paid in the kiosk at the table. She brought our receipt and the whiskey sour was on it. I said something to her and she smugly laughed that she could give it to me now. I won't be back here after being cheated out of $9. Check your receipts and beware. read more

Two months ago my husband and I had a meal and our waiter was awful and tried to double charge us. We did not tip him. Yesterday we came in and had lunch with a different waitress ( one we have had since our bad experience). However when the food came out( the ribs) the waiter from our bad experience delivered our food while she watched from the kitchen door. The restaurant was not busy at the time. The food tasted fine but on the drive home and for 24 hours since we have had diarrhea and vomiting. We believe this waiter tampered with our food as we felt perfectly fine prior to our visit and became violently ill shortly after!!!! Beware of Kokomo In Applebees! read more

Meh. It's Applebees. Mediocrity at its most mediocre. I was starving and didn't have many options. You know what to expect. But it was worse. read more

Service and food was good and our server was fantastic and the wait wasn't long at all .

Brought my family in for dinner on 10/20 around 11 pm after the haunted house in Peru (which was awesome). Just 3 of us and when we walked in the hostess tells us there is a 30 minute wait in the kitchen because they have a party. I see empty and clean tables available so I said okay that is fine can we be seated though. She says "Well the thing about that is if I seat you then the waiter will be obligated to serve you and we are really busy!" So she said we had to wait by the door for a half hour, we were the only ones waiting. This is poor service. There are waitress's and waiters who work different sections of the restaurant and empty tables if someone is willing to wait then why not seat them and give them drinks while they wait! Could have been a great tip to make someone's day a lot better considering you literally work for your money when you wait tables! Sad I will NEVER go to that Applebees again. We went to IHOP instead and had breakfast for dinner! read more

Ok, so this is my 4th trip here within 3 days. 3 days straight at lunch time; 2 managers sityong on thier butt, in the bar area, doing nothing. Same 2 people. Older man and female with glasses. WTF? Do something! At least great your guests or answer the phone thats been ringing. ....still ringing....and ringing. Lead by example people! Chicken penne pasta was decent today. Well presented, hot and timely today. Pretty good job by bartender (Kassandra) and kitchen staff. ***Keep your drama in the back of the house. If i wanted BS on my lunch; I'd go home.*** Seriously, 3 days in a row, at lunch, for over an hour each time, and both managerssitting on thier butts in the bar area. FIRE these wastes of space. Much room for improvement here, overall. read more

Dont go to Kokomo Applebees. Went tonight bar tables empty except 1 lots of tablea open. However we were told it would be a 40 minute wait. I asked why the long wait i was given it would overload our waitresses. Wow with what they get paid an hour you would think more tables more tips. Said they were practicing social distancing really hostess wearing mask wrong and people waiting in lobby no masks. Manager said people waitng in cars dont think so parking lot empty read more

Service was great as always food was nice hot and came out quickly. All the staff was friendly managers made sure to check and make sure nothing was needed. Excellent place will always be go back. read more

Love their 2 for $20 deal-- especially since they added the option of two salads instead of sharing an appetizer. Hubby and I always get Caesar salads, and he almost always gets the chicken fingers basket (but pays the upcharge for sweet potato fries). I usually get the cedar grilled chicken, and I love the cranberry rice that comes with it. Today, our Caesar salads were extremely light on dressing, but everything else was perfect. read more

Did the curbside to go for the second time. First time last year and vowed not to go back but we thought we would give it another try. Ordered the chicken Caesar salad with two extra breadsticks and also a dinner with a full rack of ribs. Paid 1.99 EACH for the breadsticks and they were hard and inedible. The ceasar salad was good and really liked the dressing. The ribs were so tough my husband or I could not eat them. Even after cutting the meat off with a steak knife it was too tough to eat. I really should have brought it all back but at that point I gave up. Now I know..never again! read more

I stopped in for a bite after a great day with friends. I ordered the pork chop and requested that it be cooked to a medium. The server look apprehensive and said she would have to ask the manager. In a short bit she came back and said he cook and the manager said no and stated that they had to cook it well done because it was a health code violation to do otherwise. I spoke with the manager while waiting for my server to come back for me to change my order and I explained that there was no health code that prevented them from fulfilling my request. He instantly became defensive and stood over me in a bit of menacing manner. He said that he could tell from my facial expressions that I was angry. I explained that I was just unhappy that I was being told an untrue statement as an excuse. I suggested that he say it's company policy, but he insisted that he was right about the health code. Well Mr. Manager, in may of 2011 the USDA - recommend that pork be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees, 15 degrees cooler than the previous standard. That is about medium in doneness. Please see: http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-05-24/health/chi-usda-changes-guidelines-for-cooking-pork-20110524_1_cooking-pork-pork-chops-national-pork-board I don't like being lied to and then treated in such a manner and will make sure to tell everyone I know about how your store treats it's customers. read more

I was very disappointed. The steak came raw and not medium rare. The riblets, fries and appetizer were all cold. And after having to send it back it did not taste very good. As another reviewer said the slaw was quite lackluster too. There really is nothing to recommend this place for. Texas Roadhouse every time from now on. read more

Me and my wife have been to this Applebee's in Kokomo several times we love it there the food is always hot drinks are always ice cold and mixed well and are one of our favorite things about going in there is the waitress's especially Marissa not one time have we ever had to wait on anything when she's waiting on us,its like she is always 2 steps ahead of what we need. Thanks Apple Bees fir training your staff so diligently. read more

I will not be returning to this restaurant any time soon. We ordered a burger plain with cheese, it came out with some nasty sauce on it. When we pointed it out to the waitress she says"plain means no tomato and lettuce" I'm sorry plain is plain. When the new burger came out it had onions peppers and mushrooms hidden under the cheese. At that point we decided to leave. Had to wait several minutes for the manager to take the burger off our bill. (Who never came by our table) We were given excuses trying to pass the blame onto us. The Pepsi was watered down and gross. When the onion rings came out there were no plates to use, we had to use our napkins. Needless to say, poor service and the rest of the food was nothing I'd order again. read more

The Salmon is always good, service was excellent. They know how to make a good Captain & Coke, and desert this time did not arrive melted as before. The waitstaff had nice clean uniforms, but they appeared hurried and a bit frazzled, something management should address. All in all, a good visit. read more

The food was normal Applebee's, but I wanted to give a big shout out to this location for its service. In addition to our great server, the General Manager was walking around this afternoon asking if any of the patrons were veterans to thank them for their service and handed out gift cards. They had a table set out in remembrance of POWs. It was a really sweet tribute. read more

Service was terrible. Waitress was inattentive and spent more time playing on her phone then helping us. Waited 3 times for refills and had to wait to pay check so long that we ended paying at a kiosk. Also wifi didn't work initially and hard to ask 2 times for help and have them reset. They roll their silverware wrong... but overall a decent meal. Wings are great. They have A1 sauce! The service was pretty good but not especially friendly. Also had some heating/cooling issues at our first table. Good portion sizes, we felt full afterwards for a decent price. read more

We went to Applebee's (Kokomo, Indiana) with our family and friends to celebrate but mood soon turned to sour. The greeter at front by door didn't want to be there and didn't say anything to us, after we requested a booth (which was available) she seemed most put out. No smile and promptly told us to follow the Waitress, who was more concerned about her blue fingernails. Will not bore you with a details account of the evening except to say that anyone who likes Applebee's is either very stupid or naïve or both and the serving staff are morons. In summary, the food was bad, the service rude and shoddy at best, needless to say we did NOT leave a tip, and have HIGHLY discouraged all of our friends and family (through social media) to avoid it AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! read more
