The issue with Applebee's is a corporate mess. You cannot go online and see a normal restaurant menu with prices. You have to "order", select type of order, and then they have everything chunked into blocks so you could have had dinner elsewhere by the time you click on each type of meal and part of meal. No one wants to click and click and click. A total FAIL on website design. And when you call Applebee's "customer service," they say, we hear you loud and clear and thank you for your input. Clearly not. read more

The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is excellent never have I had an issue. It is a very friendly and casual place to go to. Prices are very reasonable. read more

I am not sure what is going on with this restaurant, but it's severely gone down hill. While the waiter is attentive, the food failures are NOT his fault. In the future we will unfortunately be passing by this restaurant in the future. read more

I decided to give Applebee's Grill + Bar another shot . I ordered my usual Shrimp and Parmesan Sirloin . I once again explain I want it well done no pink . There's an add shrimp for a $1 so I tell her to add it the same as it comes. She brings out the plates and I tell her this isn't what I ordered. An as I'm talking I " try " to cut the steak. I said " you can't even cut this " and she agreed with me . You mean to tell me you know it's inedible yet serve it to me anyway. I told her I took a few sips of the Pepsi so I'll pay for that but not the meal . As she took the plates away I stuck $5 under the cup and walked out ... NEVER AGAIN I'M DONE I didn't mention this little tid bit , she kept saying " honey " and I'm pretty sure I've asked her in the past not to when referring to me ... Here's something I just learned today - Terms of endearment are defined as an example of sexual harassment by the U.S. Department of the Interior's Office of Civil Rights, which cites "honey," "dear" and "sweetheart" among the unprofessional expressions, even if the speaker means no harm in saying them. read more

I love our Applebee's. Great food, excellent service from our favorite waiter, Lee and just all around fun. Thank you!

When we arrived, we were sat by the hostess. When the waitress came over to our table, she states this is not my station, but I guess I can take care of you. I told her that we were sat here by the hostess, and she's like well I don't know why because there is no one working this table. Once she noticed that I was a little irritated, she tried to be nice, but it was too late. I ordered the new chicken Parmesan on the menu and it came out very dry and crusty. When the waitress came back, she says that does look dry. Would you like for me to get you some more sauce? She then said if you would like I could get the manager to come over and see if we can give you a discount. The manager came out with a cup of sauce and asked me would that be OK? I told her no. She then asked if I would like for her to have the kitchen remake it. I said no I would rather you just take it off the check. With attitude, she snatched the plate up from the table and walked away without saying anything. She really needs a reality check. Needless to say this is my second visit to this establishment and the first one was amazing but this one has pretty much been my last. read more

If you're looking for a quick lunch, the Asian chicken tacos are my favorite. Just plain crunchy deliciousness! We don't go very often because we'd rather support Local, mom and pop places, but when I'm in the mood for one of those chicken tacos, you can't keep me away. read more

Our waitress was great but the food sucks. I asked for a medium well steak which was still bleeding when it got to the table and the fried shrimp were still white on some sides. The broccoli and mashed potatoes were cold. My daughter's steak was also bleeding and should have been medium well and as for my niece's steak, she basically said she couldn't swallow it and spit most of it back into her plate after she tried to chew it. I am not one to complain but patrons should get what they paid for and we still paid for our $91 meal and left the waitress a tip. They don't ever have to worry about me spending my hard-earned money there again. read more

Here is a summary: 1) 4 people 2 menus 2) No Napkins until we asked after meal serviced 3) No plate brought with appetizer, when we asked for them they threw them at us. 4))No silverware until after food serviced and asked for a manager. 5) No waitress checked back. 6) Only half a serving of spinach dip. 7) Ordered a dozen shrimp did not receive with dinner. When manager returned with them only received 10. 8) Not even going into how weak the drinks are. 9) Waitress only took our order and did not show up until time to drop check. If you like Applebee's I suggest you drive to Brooksville or Crystal River location. read more

Service was fine. Like the 2.99 margarita all day. The Chicken Won Ton Tacos we're crispy but I remember in the past there being more filling inside. Same thing with the Oriental Chicken Wrap. Not much to it for the price. It used to be my favorite wrap on the menu. Bavarian pretzels were good. Soft. Beer cheese. I'd say that the chain if definitely cutting back on everything but price. The service was fine so I'd probably return but sit at the bar in order to get the half off appetizers. Cause that's about what they're worth: $5-6$ read more

I went to the Applebee's in Inverness today, April 14, 2022 about 5pm. The hostess sat me immediately. The waitress came over about 5 minutes later and I ordered a drink from the bar. After she brought me my drink, I ordered. In the meantime, she never came back and brought me napkins, etc and never asked how everything was. Later a cook brought my meal which was ok! I would not order again . The waitress NEVER CAME BACK TO ME!!! I had to ask the cook that after I got his attention to please order me another drink. The waitress finally came over and brought me my drink. I asked for the bill. I left her a $2 tip! I am a good tipper, however with such service as this I could not justify leaving her a tip when she never even asked me my meal was! I will not be returning. Filthy tables inside and outside. Inside smelled like urine, outside like an ashtray. Walked out after first being seated for inside seating, then asked for outside and just had to leave. Tables were not wiped off. The patio floor was mildew and had food stuck on it. Too dirty for me in this pandemic. Too bad because I wanted to get their fish and chips which were fabulous the last time I got them here before COVID-19 closed things down. I hope they clean things up for the next time I give them a try. Fear None, Love All, and Eat Well. read more

Good Service and great food when we went there last week. We got our drinks almost immediately and appetizers within 10 minutes.

Just all around not very good :( staff doesn't seem trained properly even tho they are nice. Stood for quite a while waiting to be seated even tho several people saw us standing there. No line.. just no one wanted to be the one to seat us, I guess. We ended up just seating ourselves and then flagged a waitress. Waitress got my order wrong and food was not very good. Would just get drive thru burgers and save your money if I were you. They do have some fun drinks, if youre into sugary drinks (which I was lol). But would deff pass on this location. There are other food options nearby, so I really think someone in this Applebee's needs to at least pretend to care‍ read more

My boyfriend and I were at this Applebees last night. I wasn't particularly impress with the hostess and the 2 girls at the rrone with her. We had to ask to be seated. We got an eyeroll from her. She say 'this way' and walks us to a table in back. Lays 1 menu down for 2 of us and goes back up front. We sit and realize the table is still dirty. Not set up for guests. I was ready to leave when this waitress asked if something was wrong. I explained and she said 'Hang on just a second' she got a nice booth cleaned up for us quickly just made everything better . Ashley P. was full of happy energy, Quick to solve our dilemma, Quick with a drink and had our food was out in a flash. She checked back often and was friendly. Felt like we'd known her forever! Thank you Ashley P. for saving our Christmas Eve! I gave 4 stars. 5 stars for Ashley P. And I subtracted 1 for the poor start. read more

Applebee's not good. Took Forever to get our food and was not busy. The few people at the bar had a little too many and were loud. Was there with the family and I don't feel it's a family restaurant. The overall food itself not good. My son-in-law, grandson, granddaughter had fries. They were freezer burnt and tasted awful. We said something and all they said is with a smile do you want more fries with that. Will not go again. read more

went there recently with my boyfriend and my daughter, we all were in the mood for steak. was seated fairly quickly, took about 10 mins to get our drinks and place our order, after waiting over 25 mins I said that's enough and left, my boyfriend stayed behind to pay for the drinks, as I was leaving I made a complaint to who I think was the mgr, and was told there was such a delay because the cook had severly cut his finger and was being rushed to the hospital, yet the kitchen was still open and serving food. So sorry to give a poor review. I worked in the restaurant industry so I understand the challenges of running a good restaurant. The coffee we ordered was cold. Took 30 minutes to get a hot cup of coffee. Our French fries were cold and soft. They brought out a fresh batch in 15 minutes. The booth had burnt out light bulbs. The cover over the bulbs was dusty and had some small dead bugs on the cover. We might have caught the restaurant at a shift change but this was not a good experience for us. read more

This is a favorite of the family, and we usually go here when we have get togethers such as for birthdays and what not. The appetizers are consistently yummy and the entrees are almost always on point. The menu sometimes feels a bit limited, but that's not this particular locations fault. We rarely ever have a problem here and the staff is always friendly. read more

Best grilled chicken Sandwich and French fries...ever. Really great service. Went again and had chicken strips and they were delicious.

No place other than outside in the heat to take someone in a wheel chair. Had elderly person with me and no where he could go other than outside. It's 94 degrees today! Waited 11 min for someone to bring water-after informing the hostess Twice we were waiting outside at a table. Just stopped for a drink and desserts at 12:30 pm while waiting for a dr appointment. Our dinner group of 8 went to Applebees tonight. The only place for a group that large was a very uncomfortable roundish table with bench seats so we had to shimmy all the way around the seat to get to the back - not an easy task. I had a hamburger. It was dry and tasteless. The lettuce was an outer leaf that I would have thrown away - didn't even eat it. My husband's quesadilla was over priced with very little filling. The rest of our group did not do any better. The piece of chicken was so tasteless, our friend had to ask for some kind of sauce to help the flavor. The french fries tasted like they were made hours ago. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal. Will not go back. read more

Went here for lunch Tuesday. It was early; they were not busy. However it took almost 5 minutes for the hostess to come out of the kitchen to seat us. Then no one came to wait on us, although there were 2 waitresses sitting at the bar talking. I finally went over and asked them to take our order. When the food came, my 2 friends food came and the server asked me "are you not eating today?" I told her I had placed an order but it didn't come out. Finally my food order came out but wasn't exactly all I ordered. For a restaurant that wasn't busy there was no reason for terrible service. Obviously the waitress didn't care to make any tips, and that's exactly what she got from me. 0. Too bad Ashley D. read more

My family and I have visited this restaurant many times. We normally enjoy the food and service. Tonight was not that time. A family of 5 should never be sat at the bar thats 1. The server forgot your drinks several times 2. And thin lied able having to make the tea fresh but it came to the table room temp, when you dont use ice its easy to see the bs in that story 3. The other staff was nice to share the story drama with each other while standing behind us. Girls coming out the kitchen with food and playing with thier hair. I feel the professionalism in any business with people under 30 is gone. We were very disappointed read more
