(Both living within 15ish minutes of the location) I asked why she didn't have a scanner or anything to determine our ids. wasted over 60 dollars to Uber there to meet another friend. if you're not an older individual or a "local" don't waste your time or your money there. not worth it. I understand the ny state policy but this was embarrassing, rude, and simply a huge waste of my time. Very disappointed and felt extremely targeted.

No one ever came over afterward to follow up. We were later told there was a large party, which is understandable--but that's not something customers or servers can control. A simple check-in or acknowledgment would have made a big difference. Instead, we were told we "should have said something," despite no one coming to the table. At the end, we waited again for the check, and when my daughter calmly tried to explain our frustration, the server spoke over her and said, "I'm almost 50--I've been doing this since I was 17," which came across as rude and unprofessional. The food was good, but the lack of communication, attentiveness, and management involvement made this a disappointing experience.

I recommend going to Applebee's in Herkimer. My family and I eat there all the time. We really like it. I eat the steak every time I really like it. I drink the strawberry lemonade also. The sweet potato fries were glommed together and cold, also totally tasteless, as if they'd just been defrosted from a package of frozen fries. On reading other reviews it appears that we are not the only ones to complain about the food quality, as well as missing items on to-go orders. After our first visit we had hoped to make this a regular place to eat, but after today's experience we don't want to risk it.
