The food and drinks weren't even correct. Ordered a Kona Big wave that is supposed to be in the glass not a bottle. They didn't even bring me that. Sunday, May 21st: I ordered Neighborhood Beef Nacos WITHOUT jalapeños, because my medical conditions do not allow me to eat hot, spicy foods. However, when I received my food, my nachos were loaded with jalapeños. I called Applebee's, and the0 manager, Paul, said he could not do anything about it because the food was ordered and paid through Grubhub, and I didn't pay Applebee's directly. So I am left with no meal for the $149+ dollars I paid for 3 orders of nachos, three artichoke dip w/nacho chips appetizers and 3 strawberry lemonades. To top everything off, the drinks were PLAIN lemonade, not the strawberry lemonade I ordered. But Applebee's will not do anything about it, even though they are the ones who FILLED the order...Grubhub took the order and delivered it, and they may have gotten paid, but from what I understand, Applebee's will be paid for the week's delivery orders on Monday, which is tomorrow. read more

I had a burger where the top bun could be used on any construction site and my wife had some chicken and shrimp which she actually enjoyed. Calling this place pathetic would be a compliment, they should pay people to come eat there. My eyes were opened to a new experience though! Who new a simple salad could leave such a horrible aftertaste. 10 minutes later I'm still tasting that crud. By far the absolute worst Applebee's I've ever been to IN MY LIFE. Randomly stopped by on our way home and I don't even know where to start with my review. The most ghetto restaurant I've EVER been to. Our waitress wouldn't even know what tact was if it smacked her in the face. The table next to us sat two EMPLOYEES (not even sure if they were on break) flirting, touching, giggling and almost kissing. The bartender kept asking people "what can I getchu boo". Ugh so much no. Our waitress, quite frankly, didn't give a shit about her job. Very pushy on getting us to order. We have 3 young kids I told you I needed a minute. I'm pretty sure she times a minute then came back. One lady (if you want to call her that) pulled out a pocket mirror and made kissy lips, messed with her fake ass weave and ignored everyone around her. Our waitress had acrylic nails at least an inch long and HOT PINK lipstick on. I'm too nice. I gave this particular Applebee's restaurant 3 chances before going this route. I don't know if the staff is getting worked to death or if there's something in the water, but the service ALL THREE TIMES **STUNK**. The first time, my waitress introduced herself and took my and my wife's drink order, only to bring the drinks almost 10 minutes later, took our orders, and then we never saw her again. The food was good, though. The second time, we were asked to switch tables so another waitress could accommodate a larger group of people who appeared to be friends, possibly family of hers. We were placed almost directly under an AC vent. Another 10 minutes went by when the waiter realized we were in his section. This LAST time, we were seated immediately, made our drink order, the waitress even made nice and cracked jokes with my daughter, and she, too, ended up seating a group of people behind us (WHOM SHE KNEW), and spent much of her time socializing with them. In fact, THEY got their food before WE did, and we were there 10 minutes before they showed up! I'll give it to the hostess though. I wish I could remember her name. She is a bubbly, polite, and concerned African-American girl who has mastered the art of reading body language. She, EACH VISIT, came to check on us when she realized we were waiting to be served. The first and third times I actually reached out to her for help when no one else would. Promote her. She's the ONLY one who knows what she's doing. As for the restaurant as a whole? Due to COV-19 the pick up service is unorganized. Once you place the order online there is a estimate on pick up. Upon arrival we are to stand around outside waiting for our name to be called. Management is extremely poor. if you go to the window they tell you to call your order in but I've called nine times and nobody answered the phone. so I ordered my food and still had to wait 45 minutes to get a wrong order. how is it this possible to be this slow with zero customers in the restaurant? management needs to figure this out because people are going to get upset at the waiters outside and they have nothing to do with a slow wait. This has been one of the restaurants that I like to go to every now and then. Seems like this location is satisfactory at lunch, but supper is a different story. We stopped in yesterday after doing a little shopping in Hampton. It was Sunday and very busy. A customer coming out even told us that if we were hungry, that we should go somewhere else cause it was slow. And it was!!!!! We didn't receive our ice water at all that we had asked for and our sodas arrived later than they should. It was very packed and uncomfortable in there. We got one of the two for $27 specials. It was ok. Our bill was shockingly high when we left (sodas only, no alcoholic drinks at all). Granted it was Sunday and busy. The wait staff wasn't but so accommodating in the friendly dept. They need to up their game to keep customers better satisfied. read more

My delivery order tonight was stolen by some random person because of this locations complete failure to verify that the order was indeed being picked up by the rightful person. So when the delivery driver arrived at the location and was told that the order apparently had already been picked up, she explained that she is the actual delivery driver and was the person to pick up the order. At that time she was refused by staff and management in an extremely rude manor to have my order remade even though the error was due to their lack of capabilities. I understand if coping with the additional responsibility of managing delivery orders is not what you signed up for but as management I suggest you rise to the task or resign so your boss can find someone who is able to. The server took our orders & then came right back to sat she lost our order book & asked if we had it. Why would we have your order book? The manager finally got out drinks, but we were brought out dirty appetizer plates. We asked for silverware but were told they didn't have any clean silverware in the restaurant. I am never going to this apple bees again! Holy crap was our order a shït show. We ate inside the restaurant. My mom, my dad, my husband, my 3 girls and myself sat down ordered food for everyone. The kitchen only got 2 dishes correct. When the plates started coming out, the kids got theirs first. They got their main dishes correct but their side dishes wrong. Apparently another table ordered the same thing and we got their plates. Then my husband got his meal and it was completely off. He ordered the endless rib-lets and fries but got chicken tenders. Sent that back immediately. Didn't even let them put it on the table. My dad and me ordered the same thing, only mine was supposed to be 2 ounces more. My dads came out super juicy, cooked medium. Looked great. My plate came out and it was cooked well done. I didn't really care so much as I like meat cooked any way but rare. But here's where the most horrific thing of trying to cut back on money and stealing from the customers come in. My 2 extra ounces of meat was COW MEAT! NOT SIRLOIN STEAK! That's why they cooked it well done because they didn't think I would see a difference. Then the waitress at one point, while we were telling her that our order is wrong, she went back to what she wrote down and had to "verify" that what we got was far from what we ordered! Other than that, all she kept saying was "I got you, I got you" no yes, right away or even the pleasantries of yes ma'am or sir. Just, "I got you" my parents paid so not even sure what they tipped. Server was fine, the kitchen is a frantic mess. While we were there we did hear them yelling at each other cracking blind joke. When did Applebee's become a nightclub? The loud hip hop/top 40 music seems out of place for the daytime crowd that is older and mostly 30+ years in age. I thought Applebee's was a family friendly restaurant and not a 20 something club. Imagine my dismay to discover I was scheduled to work until close on Valentines day-- So the significant other and I decided to catch a movie and eat out a few nights early. The significant other had never been to Applebees, and it was close to the theater, so I was up for going. When we walked in the place was busy. I could tell the staff was trying to keep up with the demand- as no one was just standing around. I think they may have been a little short handed, as the hostess was also acting as a waitress. She walked by us as we entered and told us she'd be right back to seat us. She returned with in less the two minutes and sat us. Our server Lemarc was at our table in under five minutes with menus and asking what he could get us for drinks. Upon being informed that I am DEATHLY allergic to black pepper, he began to make this an experience I won't soon forget. He was very attentive with my food and even made several trips to the kitchen cheerfully to find out what could be made for me to eat. He followed my food from the start making sure it had no contact with pepper what so ever. I had the Oriental Chicken salad (with grilled chicken substituted out for the fried- since the breading had pepper in it.) The salad was fantastic!! The portion was large enough that I had spare to take home and he was more then willing to package some dressing into sauce cups so I would have some extra to take with me. My significant other and I opted to share a dessert, (Triple Chocolate Meltdown!) and he dressed the plate up very nicely for us. The cake was sinfully good!!! On the edible side, the only disappointment was the Martini's. While the proportions are great for the price, the drinks were not very flavorful. My pomegranate martini (he ordered a raspberry martini) was by far the worse of the two. I was so pleased with Lemarc I asked to speak with his manager, (who was very unimpressive, underwhelming, and not at all as enthused as he should have been to see his worker get such a glowing review) to tell him how impressed we were with him. We will go back, and we will call ahead to make sure we get the same server again. I definitely recommend the combination of Applebees and Lemarc to those in the area!! read more

I though this place was pretty ghetto because they had a bunch of people outside begging for money but inside the staff is incredibly nice and friendly. They give you updates on food and drink orders. Fiesta Chicken Chopped Salad Chopped lettuce tossed with black bean corn salsa, roasted red peppers & onions, tortilla strips, white cheddar and spicy jalapeño dressing, mounded nicely with chimichurri-glazed grilled chicken. It was Good! But I found a HUGE lettuce "butt" as my friends called it, was in my salad. I'm talking 3x4inches here, not a tiny clump. It was probably 1/4 of my salad. Alright, in one word I can sum up the Applebees in Hampton: sketchy. This place is packed at night and it tends to be a rather rough crowd. I'm not sure how this restaurant has been turned into a late night club-esque bar but it seems to have happened at this location. Thursday night I was driving by at 11:30pm and this place was absolutely packed with a ton of cars in the parking lot. If you're in the area I would honestly say you should probably avoid this place, there are much nice restaurants in the area and even better Applebees locations around as well. They still have all the specials that the other Applebees have such as the 2 for $20 and drinks specials but it's just not worth the overall creepy feeling you will most likely have while dining inside. read more

The most random part of the night was that the celery with the wings was cut super thin. The service was nice although I wasn't a big fan of the waitress smashing whatever bug was bothering the table behind us. I'm just going to assume it was a fly and keep moving. It's nothing fantastic and probably nothing you haven't tried before! Hubs and I went here for Veteran's Day since he is military and received a free meal. So I do like the fact that Applebees honors the military and vets. I had my favorite meal from here, the fried chicken salad. It was fresh and yummy. I also tried one of my hubby's shrimp which was great. Breaded and fried so def not healthy, but it had good flavor. The service was good for how busy the place was. The very, very worst! I placed an order to be picked up and not only did I get my "pick up" order late (20 minutes late to be exact) it also appeared to be rushed through. They use these little cardboard boxes for your to go meals and it just looked horribly assembled. I just feel like if you wouldn't eat it why do you think I would? I ordered chicken fajitas (which came with cold fries) and a chicken salad that had lettuce pretty much tossed in the cardboard box. I could only eat or should I say stomach only two bites of the salad. The fajita wasn't too bad after I had to put it in the microwave to warm it up. My husband and I took one of our daughters for dinner last night. As we were waiting to be seated we observed 2 of the waitresses wrapping the silverware. They weren't wearing gloves, they were wiping the knives with a napkin, but then picking the forks up by the fork, not the handle. They then proceeded to wrap them together. We were sitting in a booth where the window looked like a toddler sat and threw food all over it. Mashed potatoes were instant potatoes and the burgers weren't that good. Went to the restroom before and leaving and it was so gross, I walked out! Toilets and sink looked like they had not been cleaned in weeks! all 3 of us woke up in the middle of the night, sick to our stomachs! We will never eat at this location ever again! read more

I arrived here with my family at about 1:45 pm, it was busy but the hostess cleaned a table and got us seated. We waited a few minutes for our server to come, she took our drink orders and we continued to look over the menu. A few minutes later, she came back with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order and we did. We got the 2 for $25 special, my niece and I got the mozzarella sticks as the appetizer and the four cheese macaroni with honey pepper chicken tenders. We waited, the food did take awhile to come out to us and when we got it; we were not impressed because the sauce for the pasta was on the bottom and it tasted bland overall. The chicken tenders, however, we okay. We finished our food, the waitress was nowhere to be found(never checked on us nor anything) and we waited a good 40 minutes for the check.
