Walked in on a Friday night, no hostess. Eventually someone came to seat my daughter and I. My seat was soaked with some liquid... I had to ask the busser for a cloth for me to clean my seat. The waitress took our order, 1st thing I noticed was that she didn't write anything down or input it in a machine... We ordered the $10 chicken sandwich and bacon cheeseburger meal deals. FYI, It was NOT listed on their menu inside the restaurant but is listed online and the app. We ordered the chicken quesadilla app. It was pretty good! I ordered the shark cocktail, it didn't look anything like the menu, no cute shark candy decorations or anything. And it was a whopping $10 during happy hour smh. Once our meals came, it was wrong! My soda didn't come so I had to request it in a to go cup. We got 2 chicken sandwiches instead of 1 bacon cheeseburger and one sandwich. I got the feeling our server was tired and just altogether irritated. I totally understand ppl have bad days, but my daughter was really looking forward to dining out. Came from out of town to meet up with a friend for lunch here. Went at 1 pm on Monday and it was very quiet and slow, great for us to catch up on life. Me & my friend went here to try their Two for $25 menu. Came in and it was less than 8 people in the restaurant, with plenty of waiters but only 1-2 waiters were assisting customers. Overall we waited close to 40 mins for our food (25 mins of that time was just for the chips and dip) . My friend liked her chicken parm, but to me it wasn't appealing. Now the chips & dip, chips were fresh,but the salsa tasted like cheap jar stuff & the Artichoke dip the cheese tasted little funny. Overall probably my last time eating at this location. Also double check your receipts, due to on the tip suggestion, they're going to add $0.20-$0.40 more suggested for the percentage of tip charge. We went out to eat on September 1, 2025, to Applebee's in Hampton on Coliseum Dr. 3-ish in the afternoon. We ordered from the 2-for$25 meal, chose spinach/artichoke dip for appetizer, big burger and breaded chicken Alfredo. The waitress came and asked for our choice of drink, we ordered sweet, iced tea for both. She brought the drinks, took our order and vanished. We started sipping our drinks, waited about 17 minutes before the appetizer arrived. It was lukewarm and not very appetizing. We were hungry, so we nibbled as best as we could. We finished, waited another 9 minutes when the waitress came and told us the food would be out shortly, saying she would bring us a refill for the iced tea. 7 minutes later, the food comes, my husband's food looked good, and temperature was acceptable. My platter was warm to the touch; the breaded chicken had some tomato sauce poured over it with cheese on top. The Alfredo sauce was a bit tacky, and the pasta stuck together. We were hungry, ate, but decided to give a review as we used to like the place very much. The quality of hostess service was zero. Someone stepped out of the kitchen and seated us. The dining area was dirty, the table not very clean and the condiments on the table consisted of catsup, salt and pepper, tacky to the touch. It wouldn't have been bothered by too much else, but the waiting time, cleanliness, food temperature, all a big zero. I will not go back and do not recommend. Omg went in on a Wednesday night at 712PM sat at bar. We ordered 2 drinks and a chicken quesadilla. We asked the bartender about the quesadillas after waiting 45 minutes. Tonight three teachers went to Applebee's because they were going to have a free appetizer as advertised for Teacher Appreciation Week with a teacher badge. When our coworker went in to wait for the rest of us, she mentioned the free appetizer to an employee. The employee (female) said "we ain't doing that". When our coworker said it was advertised, again she was met with "well like I said, we ain't doing that". The bar area was loud and boisterous, and the atmosphere was less then welcoming. Our coworker left, let us know what happened, and we chose a different restaurant. Staff is always helpful and polite. And it stays busy. We had the Riblet Platter. The first order was not made to order, after speaking to Jonathan, the manager, it was quickly resolved. Thank you so much "John"; with these mouth watering sides.. Love the AMAZING coleslaw...it's always fresh and crunchy . The Garlic Mash, that's crazy good! I would give zero stars if I could..... We ordered food from our server and it took a long time for waters, coffee, and a beer to come out.... And when it did come out for the beer it was not the correct one.... The beer my husband ordered was a big wave beer from Hawaii that comes in a glass as advertised and it was first a corona and I told her it was wrong. The server didn't even apologize for the mistake and brought him a beer that was right but in the bottle.... We waited half an hour for our appetizers to come out and they were not good. The beer cheese was no beer but regular Luke warm queso and was gross. The boneless wings were cold and tasted like they were sitting out for hours and served to us. After we asked for separate checks and it wasn't. We waited for our entree to come and after 45 minutes we had it to go instead. We got tired of waiting for to go boxes that we asked another server and another manager for them and they helped but didn't see our server again until leaving. She ignored us the whole time. My party came in on a Sunday a little after 1:30 pm and it was pretty tame with open seats but we still had to wait 10 min for a party of three based on staffing. Once seated it took a good 5-10 minutes to be acknowledged. Ok, but it's polite to at least greet your patrons when the sit down...even if you're busy. A couple of misses that occurred: 1. Our waitress informed us that the person responsible for washing the silverware did not complete it ( instead of simply offering plastic), so we were a little confused. When we did receive the silverware we still had not received any napkins and they were very much needed. After getting our own, the waitress then offered more. Still not trying to complain, we continued eating and after we both drank all of our sweet tea, we were looking for our waitress to ask for refills, but after several minutes of not seeing her, we asked someone else who kindly helped us right away (we tipped her for her service) After we received our refills our waitress popped back up and asked us if we needed anything so we asked for our check and boxes. We were given two of the small boxes and had way more food than would fit in them and then we were told that that were out of the rest, so I asked for more because I was not leaving my food behind. After that, we were still waiting for our check and about 15 min later we finally received it and was told that we were not charged for the incorrect side that was given to us ( it was their error not ours) so I wouldn't have paid anyway. Our appetizers were alright and as to be expected, but the dealbreaker was the entree. I got the Pepper Crusted Sirloin with Whole Grains. As with most people you expect the meal to look somewhat like the photo, in this case it really didn't at all. It was so mushy and it all just looked so blended into one color.
