I will not go back to This apple bee's! We went in on a Friday and the restaurant was not too packed. We were ignored several times before actually Being seated. 15 minutes later we finally sat down. We had no menus or silverware. Waitress was not attentive. She brought the kids there food first and they ended up eating mashed potatoes with there FINGERS! Until finally we got some silverware from another person walking by. Food was average. Could have made a better dinner at home. read more

Poor service and the quality of the food wasn't as expected from other Applebee's restaurants.

I have been reading the reviews and it sounds familiar, however I have seen the service improve 80% from what it was the spring of 2014. Most always there is someone opening the door as we come in and as we leave. Our food is hot and is served in about 15 to 20 minutes. It could be served faster and maybe it will from now on. Discounts for members of AAA or AARP would help. read more

I'll never go back I will take the drive to Calexico it's like nite and day .The servers they all work together to make you experience good when my wife and me decided to go to the one in El Centro it was totally the opposite its sad because Applebee's has great food.I will still continue to go to Applebee's just not in El centro. read more

I give this restaurant at ONLY this particular location a 0 or negative stars. I've only lived out here in the valley for about a little over 2 years and gone to this location about 5 times and each time I've gone I had the WORST service. The servers ignore you. They don't even swing by to do a quick greet and apologize and say I'll be with you in about so and so min. The make you wait for about 30 min before greeting you and take just your drink order. Then you wait another 15 just to get your drinks. Then you wait another 25-30 for your food. You already been in the restaurant for over an hour and barely just have your drink. I recently went for my husband birthday we waited for about almost 2 hours at our table and we only received our drinks. We had no server come and greet. We complained to the manager and even the manager didn't care. We left after about another 20 min of waiting. We confronted the manager and requested a card to the corporate office. He somewhat apologized and gave us the manager card and walked away. I honestly received better service from 3rd world countries than this restaurant. This experience ruined my husband birthday and I probably rather starve than come back to this restaurant at only this particular location. read more

our last visit was about the 20th visit and last will ever make it to the Applebees in El Centro. The food was horrible and we had to wait 45 minutes for food it was a Wednesday night and they were not busy at all. The only good thing about this location is that they hold pay per views for the UFC fights that is the only thing that will bring me back to this location. I thought that different managers and different styles what help this place but the only consistent thing about this place is that it always is horrible. read more

If there was a negative stars button I would give it negative stars. The service was rude, no one seemed to know what was going on and everyone seemed too preoccupied with other things to even be able to check on our food. The server was rude. The entire staff was rude and seemed put out that there were six of us. After being told that we would have to wait an unknown amount of time because of the fight we were finally seated under the loudest tv ever. We could not even hear each other at the same table. The manager told us "good luck finding another table!" but was finally able to accommodate us by moving our table. After the server finally greeted us, we ordered drinks and then waited 10 minutes for them to be brought out. We also waited 10 minutes to order an appetizer because the waitress didnt even ask. She just dropped off drinks and ran away. So we finally were able to place a food and appetizer order at the same time. Then we waited at least another 15 minutes for an appetizer. The waitress did not ever stop to ask if the appetizer was ok. When another server finally brought out our food, it was cold and tasted like it had been microwaved. And again she did not once ever ask if it was ok. Then when it came time to pay we needed a box and watched her make 4 separate trips to the same area before she finally grabbed a box for us. Our checks were all incorrect. She messed them up and put the wrong items on the wrong checks and then gave the checks to the wrong guest. All in all, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. And I have never ever been treated so rudely in my life. I would recommend that if this is where you are gonna spend your family or date night, DO NOT! You will get treated like dirt and everyone including the manager will act like they are really put out by your visiting the business. read more

I don't even think this place deserves a single star. Nothing about our visit was good. We went on Saturday night. They said twenty minute wait, we waited over one hour. The french onion soup was obviously microwaved and luke warm inside. I sent it back and meanwhile our appetizer came, spinach artichoke dip, it was good. However less than two minutes later our entrees came. My steak was undercooked baked potato black on bottom. My daughter received mashed potatoes instead of baked. Then two minutes after our entrees arrived our soup was returned in the same manner that it was in first place. The waitress was nice and apologetic however never once picked up a single plate. which i stacked neatly because simply otherwise there would be zero room on the table. After all this the manager comes to table and says she heard about all the happenings however she wishes she knew earlier which she repeated several times with an apology. She never offered to replace anything which at that point all we wanted to do was get out anyway, but it would have been a nice gesture. I have worked in the restaurant industry for almost three decades.This location is a disgrace to the couple other Applebees i have patronized and makes me weary of ever going to any location ever again. The ENTIRE dining experience that evening was HORRIBLE from beginning to to end. As much as i dislike fast-food this place left me wishing we had went to the Jack In The Box next door. read more

I have never been forced to act like a Dick until I came to this place. The service OMG. the worst thing ever. It took us 20 minutes to get our drink orders placed and after that took another 20 minutes for him to come back. THe place was NOT busy, but he was. I went to the bathroom and he was flirting with another waitress, not even hiding it. He came back to check on us and I told him that after 40 minutes ( no joke 40 minutes exactly) he had not taken our order and I wanted the ticket for the drinks we had not drank. he came back in less than 30 seconds that SOB, guess we were C**K blocking and couldn't wait to get us out. I told him I was really upset it took 40 miutes to get our drinks and we were displeased. HE looked at us and walked away. Never offered an apology or to get the manager or nothing. ... he simply walked away. SO, since I had payed 15 dollars for 3 drinks and I was not going to let them go to waste, I put them to use by spilling them all over the chairs and tables. YES. they deserved worse. DO not ever go to this Applebee's. read more
