Service was great and food was great. Our drinks were horrible. I ordered the new peach mint sangria. Bartender forgot the mint, pineapples and added two olives. I don't know what she made me but lime, orange, peaches and olives don't mix with moscato and peach schnaps. My kids flavored iced tea and lemonade also were not what we were used too. Times for delivery pickups and take out orders are horrible at this restaurant. Every time that I have come to this restaurant to pick up for delivery I've had to wait an additional 30 minutes or more after they've already had the order for 10 to 15 minutes prior. Every time I have come here it takes even longer to get my orders day or night. The manager at this restaurant must not seem to care as this keeps happening every time I come here. I have expressed my disappointment with him and have been told on several occasions the kitchen is always busy. When I have been there there's not that many cars in the parking lot. I have even gone as far as calling applebee's customer service line which seems to not help either. Coming to this restaurant multiple times I think this will be my last time as they are not the one who has to deal with customers asking where their food is and why is it taking so long. I have never had to wait that long when I have been inside ordering food. I feel if this restaurant cannot handle delivery or mobile orders they should turn their mobile order tablet off. I will not deliver or personally eat at this restaurant again as they do not care about their customers picking up or their delivery drivers that pick up from them that help their business. I think they either need to hire more staff for the kitchen or a different manager of the store. But from now on I will never again. read more

I like Applebee's because it really is a "neghborhood bar and grill." It's close by and casual. I stop in when I don't feel like cooking, don't want fast food, and I just want to get off the couch and grab a bite to eat. I recently went to lunch on a Sunday with a party of five; there was no wait and we were seated at a roomy booth. We ordered the Queso Blanco as an appetizer. It was too spicy for me, but otherwise decent. For my entree, I ordered the Ultimate Trio and choose the following: wonton tacos, mozzarella sticks, and boneless buffalo wings with honey barbecue sauce. The mozz sticks were perfectly fried and came with marinara. The wonton tacos had a unique Asian flavor and came with a wedge of lime. The boneless wings were adequate bites of chicken and came with ranch but were slathered with way too much sauce. Our server was friendly and did a great job managing all of our entrees, refilling our drinks and making sure our orders were correct (three of us ordered the Ultimate Trio and each arrived just as we ordered). read more

Had a overall good experience, im on a low carb kick so i choose to have the chicken and shrimp with onions and mushrooms with a side of broccoli. My dinner was very good and filling--decent size chicken and 6 shrimp came out on a sizzling plate. I had a quarter of the chicken left when i was full. My Bf had a chicken wrap that was good and a good size portion too. When we were seated they had a flyer out on the table with drink specials- seem like good specials BUT you have to be sitting at the bar area to get the specials....??!!!???Our waitress confirmed this. We called ahead at 9:30 and asked if they were still seating people, they said yes we stop 10:00... so we left and got there at 9:55 and a lady told us they just decided to stop seating at 9:50 because they were "too busy", yet there were two people in sight. When I asked the lady to get the manager she said she was "busy". Some pals and I took a trip to this Applebee's over the weekend with empty stomachs. Even though it was a bustling Saturday night, the wait was minimal -- less than five minutes, actually. That was a huge plus for us considering we were so famished. Upon being seated, our server Chris was very prompt in getting our drinks and even offering some advice with the menu. Bravo, Chris. Expectations were met once our food arrived. I ordered the 4-cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken. Wow -- talk about bang for your buck. The cheese was very gooey and the chicken was crisped to a tee. My compliments to the chef, as well as to whoever determines these prices. I believe my item was $13 and some change. If I had one complaint about my experience, I'd have to say it was the atmosphere. The music was great, but I wasn't a fan of the dim lighting. It makes reading the menu tough and I personally enjoy plenty of light. Other than that, Applebee's should keep up the good work. read more

For a Thursday evening it was pretty packed. I can only imagine that's why our table felt disgusting and my drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive. We got the sampler platter, the spinach artichoke dip was sub par at best, but in comparison to our server it wasn't so bad. The boneless honey bbq wings were pretty good but the tortillas left a lot to be desired. The marinara sauce was garbage but it aligned nicely with the mozzarella sticks. None of the order from the table systems worked, felt a little like a hostage situation. The food took so long I forgot if I even ordered. My friends food came out wrong initially but was resolved without a second though. The steak was alright, cooked right but a little tough. I got the shrimp a Parmesan sirloin, six of the smallest strips were a bit of a disappointment and I didn't expect it to be covered in a cheese sauce. My other friend got the chicken tender Mac n cheese "the chicken was a lot better than the Mac n cheese". The check took forever, and the bill seemed high for the quality across the board. read more

My wives family and I visited the Dewitt Applebees around 5pm on 6/27/16, the idea was to grab a meal then go to a concert in the new amphitheater. It all starts off so well, friendly server, wasn't busy. We order two of the 2 for $20. Apps Onion rings & Spin dip, meals: Burger, tenders, 2 oriental salads. I used to work at an Applebee's I know how these meals are prepped in the mornings, put in bags or sheet trays for later. 1:45 in your microwave for the spin dip, 3:45-4:00 for the O rings c'mon... We get the order after a longer then needed wait, 2 salads 2 burgers...which was wrong. We then hear that there is only 1 cook on, its dinner shift why? The server then comes over and says that the other cooks are on break..we've been told a manger knows about our situation but we've not seen him or her yet. I know the 3 stations that make up the cooking line in a Applebees are not super difficult and have been able to successfully solo the 3 stations on several occasions. After they re-fire my burger (instead of dropping the tenders for less cooking time) the manager comes out and places the burger down. Asked if he could get anything else then left. No I'm sorry, or a reason. He didn't even give his name or mention he WAS the manager for that matter. Our server did tell us that the unnamed manager did take care of one of the meals. We can find other food, in Syracuse. Applebee's will no longer be a destination. read more

They over cooked my 6oz steak. however, they immediately fixed my order and the manager personally came over and gave me an 8oz to compensate for the overcooked meal. We ordered two steak meals and clearly asked for each steak to be well done. One steak arrived medium done, the other was completely raw in the middle and burnt on the outside. First off, their "carside to go" service was the worst. I arrived slightly late not wanting to wait there for my order to be cooked but ended up sitting in my parked car anyway for over 5 minutes. Finally I got out of my car and went into the restaurant and my order was just sitting there on the counter while the person working this area took someone else's order for another 5 minutes. This Applebee's gave me the worst dining experience of my entire life. DO NOT EVER GO HERE. Go straight to Mcdonalds instead for the exact same entree. Never got water brought to my table, never got a refill on drinks, and the chicken was undercooked. You would think that with four tables in the restaurant we would at least get checked on once, but instead we had to freeze for over 2.5 hours. I'm appalled and will never ever go to another Applebees again. Couldn't even call customer service to complain because it's a Sunday and not "regular business hours," so I guess their waiting staff was probably checked out with them. read more

Craptastic, I ended up at a different Applebee's just a few days after my Clay location's negative burger experience. No, I'm not really a glutton for punishment . My wife got a $20 off coupon with a Delta Sonic car wash bundle. Yay. This time I decided to step it up, and go for the 9 ounce house sirloin steak. Why. I read an article not too long ago about restaurants using this stuff called meat glue, to fashion fake cuts of meat out of surplus remnants. Sound delicious? I sort of suspect this is what's going on with the Applebees sirloin steaks. A spongy textured lump of brown flesh, the flavor is meatt, but it's definitely not a natural meaty flavor . Instead of a vegetable I got a double serving of garlic mashed potatoes, which was a heaping helping of potato goodness. Unfortunately I can't speak so highly of the steak. The 9 ounces must be a pre cooking weight because this tiny turd of a steak was barely enough to get stuck in between my teeth. When I sawed it with their dull knife, it was a tough leathery baseball glove texture. YUM. Just as soon as I suspected, my teeth had to take a break halfway through every bite. I was disappointed in case you can't tell. Thankfully, the large portion of potatoes filled my gullet nicely, and my daughter was kind enough to leave some food on her plate, like she often does, and like the family dog I licked it clean. One more terrible review for Applebees. I pray I won't be patronizing them again anytime soon. When I do, and I'm sure at some point I will with my couponing wife, I'll give something made with chicken a try. They clearly suck at beef. read more

I know, it's pretty silly to review an Applebee's. You know exactly what to expect from the food here, and it isn't much. However, this place deserves a review because it transcends every stereotype you've ever had about a chain of its type. The Applebee's motto - your "neighborhood bar and grill" - is usually laughable. But here, it really rings true. No kidding, this place is just like Cheers. A great group of diverse regulars can be found there any night of the week, tightly knit but welcoming to newcomers to sit around the bar and get to know them. The staff is awesome too and plays right into the unique thing that has been created here. True, the quesadilla is about the only thing on the menu that I can choke down, and I have to be in the right mood to crave the icy cold $2 brewtus of yellow beer, but the way this group of individuals has transformed a stale Erie Blvd chain into an old-fashioned neighborhood bar will surely change your preconceptions in a positive way. read more
