My husband and I tried after reopening. Once we stepped inside the front door (which was filthy) the inside, the WHOLE inside of the restaurant smelled like a portapotty. The waitress said it was their pipes, that the city shut them down after they tried to reopen after remodel bc there were issues. Absolutely the worst service experience I've had. I thought with the reopening it might be better. It took 10 minutes before a server came to get our drinks. We waited 25 additional minutes for our appetizer (Spinach and Artichoke dip) it took another 15 minutes for our food to come. Very limited communication and zero water refills. Decided to give the New Applebee's look a try for dinner especially after it's been so busy since it reopened! Disappointed to say the least. With the exception of paint, polish and new furniture. Nothing has changed in fact it's got worse! Lets start with the on-duty manager (Heidi) she spent her time hanging with a couple of employees at the last table in the bar area standing and talking while customers were lined up at the entryway, waitresses and waiters were overwhelmed and the dishes were piled up in the back to the point soup was served in an appetizer rectangular dish. Unacceptable! Next those two employees sitting at the back of the bar area tables on break were they eating a meal served from Applebee's NO! The had door-dashed Panera and Jimmy Johns with the manager totally excepting this behavior. What does that tell you about the food at Applebee's if the employees are not eating it! Scary! I can promise you this I'll never visit that establishment again! This manager would have a tough time managing a five star restaurant that needed absolutely no help or support!! TLDR: poor management, short staffed-no hostess, not enough servers/cooks, rude service from the manager, do not honor reservations No hostess to greet. Came in behind a party of ten. Then two parties of nine came in after us. All were seated before our party that RESERVED SPACE MONTHS AGO. Horrible place to go. Reserved their banquet room WAY back in October. We arrived on time to find it full. No problem, we're easy going, they said they would be leaving soon so we waited. OVER AN HOUR later, they finally let us go into the room, acting like it was a total inconvenience that we were there, even though we reserved months ago. We were told there was no longer a conference table setup allowed, which would have been nice to know at any point before our meeting so that other arrangements could be made. Inconvenient, but not a huge deal by itself. Ten minutes before the time we were ORIGINALLY scheduled to leave the room, they started coming in to tell us we needed to leave. When they gave us the room over an HOUR late. At the actual time we were ORIGINALLY scheduled to be out, the manager came in and forcefully insisted we leave-while people were clearly up and putting on their coats. We had over an hour cut off our reserved time from October, and yet when someone else showed up (without a reservation), we had to leave because they didn't have anywhere else to put them. Service was incredibly slow (waitress was training and was very nice-no fault to her), some of the food was cold, all of it was overcooked. Under new management, per the waitstaff. And not good management, as many of their long-term and best waitresses have quit. We have been using the room for our meetings for the last several years, have always tipped well and been very respectful of the waitstaff and their time and clean up after ourselves. Had the worst experience for dinner last night. The food took over an hour (not the dashers fault) due to the restaurant giving our our order to the wrong person so they had to remake. Ordered the four cheese macaroni with HP chicken tenders and the majority of the pasta had no sauce, just plain noodles with a little bit of sauce on one side but had no flavor. The tenders also had lacked sauce other than a little spot on each tender. The chicken quesadilla was bland and not cooked (not even a hint of golden brown except for the edge of one of the pieces). So just went to order from here and don't normally consider rating any business this poorly yet this must be shared. Was planning on ordering a simple cheeseburger and went into their menu on DoorDash. Once in the menu there are no beef cheeseburgers to be found the only thing resembling a cheeseburger is a "plant based" chemically engineered abomination called an Impossible burger. I really don't care that some people choose to ingest this garbage but this is Wyoming and a simple beef burger should absolutely be on the menu if you are going to offer plant based "alternatives "! read more

Needless to say, I would not suggest ordering this item later in the evening (8:30ish). The ribs tasted okay, however, they seem to sauce the top of the ribs when ordered, warm them up, then re-present them. I was amazed at the level of service from this place, usually chain restaurants do not go out of their way to satisfy their customers, but this place sure showed me that this was the case here. We were quickly seated and before we could even look at our menus the waitress was already able to take our order,we ordered and it didnt seem like even 10 minutes passed and our food was already on the table. Not too shabby, I don't usually frequent applebees and the last time I was in a Wyoming applebees in Casper, it was just like a trip into the twilight zone. Maybe I didn't get stared at because it was Halloween and there was a completely green makeup'd lady sitting at the bar. I was really disappointed in their choice of tap beers but could manage. The menu has changed so much since high school and it's gotten more expensive. I got a steak with potato and green beans and house salad. The house salad was the best of all three. It was quite large and pretty fresh. However, there was no horseradish for the steak. Service was good and the underage server was certainly nice and helpful. We are here right now and have waited 15 minutes for a drink. They also brought knives to the table that look like someone chewed on them. We ordered buffalo wings and they brought BBQ wings to us. Avoid this if you want quick, good service. This is NOT your typical quick service Applebees. UPDATE: The manager happened to help our server bring out our food. I showed him the above review and he stated that the drinks weren't our servers fault. I am not the type to care whose fault it is in a work environment; everyone is part of a team. I told him that and he asked what he could do. I said bring me another drink that I don't actually have to wait for, and the correct wings.
